Star Fox Rangers

This is a reboot of a fanfic I was working on earlier but later lost interest. In the reboot I won't have Star Fox characters taking the part of characters from Power Rangers directly. This is the prologue of an entirely new fanfic.

Prologue

It had been 2 years after the devastating Aparoid War. For the time being the Lylat System had been enjoying a time of renewed peace and harmony.

Things had changed in the Star Fox team, the fighter squadron that had numerous times saved the galaxy from certain doom. At the moment the team hadn't been working together due to peace time.

Slippy Toad, the team's blundering but good-natured technician, had finally gotten married to Amanda Croakella, his childhood love since their kindergarten days.

Peppy Hare, the eldest of the team and their navigator, left to become the new head of the Cornerian military, after their previous leader General Pepper had died while hospitalized with lethal war wounds.

Falco Lombardi, the guns a blazin' sharpshooter of the team, chose to become a flight instructor for young recruits to the Cornerian Army.

Finally Fox McCloud, the team's leader, was spending much more time than he used to with Krystal, the team's only female, and secretly had been planning to propose to her.

Little did Star Fox realize that soon they would be forced to reunite as quickly as possible, for a new threat to the Lylat System was about to have been unearthed.

Space Dynamics, the weapons manufacturer responsible for Star Fox's arsenal, was one day testing a new mech of their's in the Cornerian ocean. The pilot of the machine looked around for anything that would've been safe to test his weapons on, but then noticed a disturbing looking cylinder buried in the underwater ground. It was rust colored, with a large, silver letter Z engraved on top.

"What is that?", the pilot asked.

"What's what?", asked mission control.

"I don't know.", the pilot replied. "It looks like some kind of massive trash can. I'll try opening it to see if there's anything dangerous inside, and deal with it appropriately.".

"Be careful.", mission control said.

The pilot reached out and used his laser to cut the container open, but he hadn't realized he was making a terrible mistake. Once the lid of the container was cut open, out shot a tremendous beam of white light, and when the light faded away it revealed a group of horrifying fiends who had risen into the air. They included a green-skinned, rat-like creature in a blue leotard with rapier blades for his left fingers, a hulking simian creature with pale white skin, a gray jumpsuit, and stitches in his face, a tall, thin, yellow vulture wearing a white laboratory suit with nails stuck in his face, and an idiotic looking figure in purple cloak with a zombie-like face and demented grin.

"Finally we're free!!", the rat-like one said.

"Free to expand our control once more!!", the ape-like one added.

"Interesting...", the avian one said. "The master will be most pleased with this news.".

"Hurry up Lord Zenn!!", the demented looking one shouted down to the container. "We're finally out of that musty old dumpster!! It's safe for you to come out now!!".

Up out of the water, and following the other fearsome men onto dry land, came a horrifying looking figure who looked as if his skin was burned off. He was blood-red all over, with metallic bones showing, a large letter Z welded to his chest, tubes attached to his arms and legs pumping some kind of fluid, and all he had in the way of a face was a piece of metal resembling a hockey mask, the eyes glowing a faint red.

"Ah!!", he said. "After 10,000 years I'm free!! Whatever this world is, it soon will be mine!!".

With that the menacing figure sent a wicked laugh that could be heard for miles all around.

Meanwhile, on an abandoned looking planet outside the Lylat System, there were people frozen in volcanic rock from some kind of apocalyptic event. They resembled foxes, but in very primitive clothes; loincloths for both sexes, robes or skin-tight bottoms for males, and grass skirts with tops or wraparound dresses for females. One of the statues began to crumble slowly, until it's blue-furred occupant burst out of his shell gasping for air. This fox appeared to be someone of great importance, as he was dressed in a dark blue cloak, and a golden mask resembling a Krazoa Spirit from the dinosaur planet Sauria. He held a mystical staff, similar to what Krystal of the Star Fox team used, that began to glow bright green as he got to his feet.

All this mysterious man could say was ".....Zenn?".

Chapter 1

At the moment when the terrifying monsters had emerged from the container in the Cornerian Ocean, Fox and Krystal were on another date together. This one was at the recently opened Corneria City Juice Bar and Youth Center, owned by a plump, jolly old bulldog in Khaki pants and a Hawaiian shirt named Farcus Sullivan. Farcus' partner was a giddy heiyena wearing similar clothes, named Eugene Baldwin. Krystal had placed a straw in her drink when she started to feel dizzy.

"Are you okay?", Fox asked.

"I...I don't know...", Krystal replied. "There are these....strange......brain patterns entering my mind. I remember these brain patterns from when I was a child, but....Who is it?".

"Need an alseltzer?", Farcus asked. "I've got some under the counter just in case.".

"No thanks.", Krystal said. "It's gone. Just a momentary thing I guess.".

Just then Fox quickly heard the sound of 2 other people engaged in hand-to-hand combat in another part of the area. Quickly, assuming that it was a nasty fight, Fox jumped up from the table, run right into the room where he heard the other voices coming from, and delivered a drop kick to one of the 2 combattants to break the fight up.

"What was this all about?", Fox asked, not recognizing who these familiar people were.

"Geeze!!", one of them said, a blue avian man. "We were just sparring, no need to fly right in like a maniac. That's my job anyway.".

"The Lylat Wars weren't good to you I guess Tiger.", the other said, a pink feline woman.

"Katt Monroe and Falco Lombardi?", Fox asked in surprise. "It's been a couple years since we last met together.".

"How could you forget who we are after only a 2 years?", Katt asked. "At least Slippy recognized us.".

"Slippy's here too?", Fox asked. "I thought he'd have his hands full with Amanda.".

"Not yet.", Slippy said, doing bench presses not too far from the others. "We just found out the other night that Amanda's expecting.".

"Aww!", Krystal said with joy.

"Well now.", Falco said noticing Krystal. "There's a familiar, furry face that's still a sucker for the innocence of little feet around the house.".

"Oh Falco.", Krystal said giggling. "I always thought you were just a....".

Before saying anything else, Krystal gave everybody else a scare by fainting, her head resting on the table.

"What?!!", Fox said, panicking as he ran over to her aid.

To make matters worse he felt the floor rumbling beneath his feet. Thinking it was an earthquake, Fox grabbed Krystal and held her next to him as he hid with her under the table. Everyone else in the Youth Center did the same when small bits of plaster started to fall from the cieling.

"What's going on?!", Slippy asked. "I know it's a quake but I don't know if it's natural or artificial.".

Outside Corneria City was under attack by an army of strange looking humanoid creatures. They seemed to be robot soldiers with fish-like heads, gold colored plating all over, and rocket launchers on their backs. For reasons unknown they were simply firing their weapons everywhere, sending millions of people panicking through the streets. Leading the group was the rat-like man from before, slashing with his claws to knock down street lights with little effort required.

"Surrender to Lord Zenn!!", he shouted. "All hair Lord Zenn, future master of the universe!!".

"Lord Zenn?", Krystal said waking up. "I've heard that name before from my father years ago on Cerinia! However, I can't remember who Lord Zenn is!".

"We've gotta get out of here!", Fox said. "I'm signalling ROB to bring the Great Fox down to the city.".

With the push of a button on his wrist communicator he still had from the Aparaoid Wars, Fox had called in a newly built version of the Great Fox, Star Fox's famous carrier ship, supplied by the Cornerian Army as thanks for defeating the Aparoids. As Fox, Falco, Krystal, Slippy and Katt made their way outside, ROB activated a command in the Great Fox to teleport them into the ship. Upon entering the ship's main bridge, Fox and the gang were greeted by a holographic projection of General Peppy.

"Fox, do you have any idea what's going on?!", he asked.

"I was just about to ask you the same question.", Fox replied. "All we know is one of the perpetrators kept shouting the name Lord Zenn.".

"This might be the chance our weapons development sector has been waiting for.", Peppy continued. "Everyone meet me at The Orbital Station as soon as possible! We might know how to defeat the invaders!".

"Got it.", Fox said.

Quickly they flew to said station, nearly 500,000 miles above Corneria. Once inside, Peppy introduced the team to a large hanger containing 5 new Cornerian military ships; 2 Arwings, one black the other yellow, 2 bomber ships, one white the other blue, and an assault cruiser that resembled the Great Fox but only a fifth of it's size.

"General, what are these things?", Slippy asked. "They look nothing like what I've seen from the Cornerian fleet before.".

"That's because these ships are brand new Slippy.", Peppy said. "Star Fox, these will be your ships to be used in repelling this strange new enemy of our's. They're powerful fighting machines called Zords. Now let me announce who is piloting which one, should any of you accept this mission. Krystal, you will fly the Lunar Dager, a stealthy ship that the enemy won't see coming. Falco, your ship is the Stinger Lance,, one with nearly limitless firepower. Slippy, you will command the Axe Cloud, a craft that can't be damaged by most weapons. Katt, you will pilot the Diamond Mace, an important supplier of ground assaults. Fox, your ship is the King Lightning, the powerful flagship of this squadron.".

"These things are amazing!", Fox said. "I almost seem familiar with these ships.".

"So do I.", Katt said. "It's as if mine's been a part of me all my life.".

"Here.", Peppy said, giving each of them an important looking, small device around their wrists. "These are your Morphers. Together you will deffend the Lylat System as the new Star Fox team, alternatively known to all as the Power Rangers!".

You know, at first, I was rolling my eyes at the silly sort of plot you had going, but I have to say I love the concept. It's a shameless ripoff, but it does avoid the main reason most fanfics end up sucking: there is no possible way for this fic to take itself too seriously. I love it. At best, it could be a compelling tale of five warriors fighting against an ancient, sealed evil for the fate of the universe, and at worst, it could simply be a lulz-filled parody of a what was a lulzy series to begin with. Despite a wonderful concept, though, there were issues.

Pacing, pacing, pacing! I know just how frustrating it is to have to go through all the mundane expository writing setting up a world, but it's necessary. Even the first episode of Power Rangers starts with five normal teenagers living their normal teenage lives before they gain their morphing powers and kick ass. The prologue was placed nicely, taking place before any of the actual events unfold and letting us know for sure there are villains, but it could use much more detail. The absolute staple of any sort of writing meant to entertain is, except in very special cases, copious amounts of detail. Write so much it feels like overload, because then it might just be enough. And if you add too much detail, it's easier to remove unnecessary wording than to work in missing details. As for chapter one, everything happens too fast. The events themselves are just fine for what you're going for, but as before, overload us with details, both sensory and expository.

Also, you did experience some technical issues. The idea of using different colors to name off the ships and reinforce the Power Rangers theme was a good one, but the entire paragraph ended up yellow. You might want to edit that to fix it

All in all, I'm quite excited to see the continuation of this fic, but you need to work on making it even better. A good concept alone won't make a good story. It needs to be immersive, and you can help create the necessary suspension of disbelief by creating a rich, detailed world with fun characters to follow on their epic quest/quirky misadventures.

The moment I saw the word "lulzy" in your comments I knew I couldn't trust you. If you're looking for something satirical you better look somewhere else. I'm not planning on making Peppy a Ranger. Krystal is supposed to be the Black Ranger and Katt the White Ranger, but neither of their colors show up in the text.

Chapter 2

While Star Fox was preparing for battle against Lylat's newest threat, Lord Zenn had begun setting up his new fortress on the ruins of Andross' old base on Venom. Within only a few hours the vicious tyrant and his minions had constructed a gigantic, white, cone-shaped lair, with large amounts of disgusting green smog oozing out of the top, plasma turrets stationed all over the outside, and Zenn's signature "Z" engraved on the front. In the highest room in the fortress Zenn sat on his special throne, while his foot soldiers, called Pirrackors, were grouped together behind him awaiting further orders. Standing by his side was his brutish yet idiotic rodent general Ratzputin, and Needle Noggin, the one with nails stuck in his face, was busy assembling more Pirrackors.

"Needle!!", Zenn shouted. "Finish those Pirrackors later. I have a much more vital job for you at the moment.".

"How may I serve you Lord Zenn?", Needle asked. "A new monster to obliterate all who stand in our way?".

"Of course you imbecile!", Zenn yelled. "Make sure it's a very dangerous one, one that can turn an entire city into gravel.".

"I have just the thing sire.", Needle said, mixing together strange chemicals in a beaker. "This fluid is ready, so all you need to do now is throw it against something to unleash the monster inside of it.".

"Good, good..", Zenn said, examining the beaker. "I say the very planet where we were freed from the Dumpster will do just nicely. Now come forth my monster!!".

With a wicked laugh Zenn threw the beaker out the window, so strongly that it quickly made it's way to Corneria, shattering as soon as it hit the ground. Bubbling as it oozed and expanded, the fluid quickly transformed into a disturbing monster called Biolent. He was a penguin-like monster with large swords in place of his forearms, and some sort of vomit-like substance dripped from his mouth.

"Time to bring down the house!", Biolent shouted, letting forth a stream of vomit that dissolved a nearby skyscraper, and sending the Cornerian panicking through the streets.

Back up in the Orbital Station, General Peppy had just noticed Biolent's savage attack against Corneria on a large monitor. Quickly the alarm was sounded, echoing all through the vicinity.

"That thing's disgusting!", Krystal said. "General, what should we do?!".

"It's time Rangers.", Peppy said. "To access your powers you need to shout the name of your ship while forming an X with your arms. Hurry Star Fox Rangers, the Lylat System needs you!".

"Okay guys..", Fox said. "It's Morphin Time!!".

"Lunar Dager Power!!".

"Stinger Lance Power!!".

"Axe Cloud Power!!".

"Diamond Mace Power!!".

"King Lightning Power!!".

In a powerful flash of their respective color, each Ranger suddenly found themselves transformed into 5 costumed heroes ready to save the univers. Quickly they boarded their Zords, flew down to Corneria City, and jumped straight into the action to fight off Biolent and his Pirrackor reinforcements.

"Who are you guys?!", Biolent asked.

"We're the Star Fox Rangers!!", Fox said, beginning the fight.

Krystal had no trouble killing 5 Pirrackors by herself, each with a deadly rising kick to the head, while Slippy killed 2 others by impailing them on his sword. Then Katt grabbed Falco by the arms and swung him around like an olympic hammer, knocking 7 Pirrackors on their backs, and Falco wasted no time slashing them in half to finish them off.

"They may be menacing but not as dangerous as I thought.", Krystal said.

"It's not over.", Katt mentioned. "We've still got that puking penguin to stop.".

"Back off you punks!", Biolent snapped. "I want the guy in red first.".

"If that's how you want it, fine by me.", Fox replied.

Readying his sword, Fox engaged the monster, slashing at Biolent, but Biolent continuously blocked Fox's attacks with his blades. As soon as he caught him off guard, Biolent vomitted all over Fox, practically gluing the Red Ranger to the ground. Krystal however had other plans, and while sneaking up from behind, chopped off both Biolent's arms.

"You even lay a feather on him and I'll turn you into sushi!", she shouted.

While watching the battle from his Venom Fortress, Zenn became so angry that he glowed bright red, and his throne room with it.

"This is an outrage!!", he shouted. "Needle you told me Biolent was just the thing to ravage that planet!! How come these technicolor pests are able to overwhelm him so quickly?!!".

"I guess it's time for my job.", said Stitches, the simian-like one, lifting up a large meteorite above his head. "The universe is yet to know what's it like when this monster grows!".

Down to Corneria went the meteorite. As soon as it entered the Cornerian atmosphere it blew apart, sending a beam of blue energy into Biolent. The meteorite caused Biolent to grow nearly 100 feet tall, and even restored his severed arms.

"I'll shower this whole place in slime!!", he shouted.

Chapter 3

Things were starting to look worse for the Rangers now that Biolent had grown much larger and stronger than he was a minute ago. Luckily they remembered their Zords. Jumping into their Zords Star Fox quickly continued fighting the monster, Fox firing at Biolent's face, while Slippy dropped a bomb on his head to make him dizzy. It seemed that all there was left to do was for Katt to fly underneath and trip the monster up, but even after falling on his back Biolent wasn't finished.

"There has to be a way to stop him.", Fox said.

"And there is.", Peppy said over the communications channel. "Star Fox Rangers, you need to combine your Zords together to form a much larger robot called the Megazord. By matching the monster in stature you should be able to have a better chance defeating him.".

"Got it Peppy.", Fox replied.

"We need Megazord Power Now!!", the Rangers shouted together.

"Megazord sequence has been initiated.", ROB said.

The Lunar Dagger formed the right arm, the Stinger Lance formed the left arm, the Diamond Mace formed the right leg, the Axe Cloud formed the left leg, and the King Lightning formed the rest of the body. The King Lightning detached it's main guns, allowing 2 thighs to extend out from under neath, then it's dorsal fin divided down the middle and formed the waist. As the 4 other Zords attached to the King Lightning in their appropriate docking points, the cockpit of the King Lightning formed the head, opening up on top to reveal the face.

"Megazord activated!", ROB added.

"That doesn't scare me at all.", Biolent said.

Biolent vomited on the Megazord trying to melt it down, but to no avail. It seemed to be invulnerable against such attacks. Without warning the Megazord moved toward the monster, delivering a powerful right hook to it's face, followed by a left hook. Then it delivered a double kick that knocked Biolent into a nearby garbage dump. Biolent said nothing in response to the attack, he simply hacked up more slime in pain.

"Now to finish it off.", Peppy said. "ROB, send them the Megazord Blaster!!".

"Affirmative!", ROB said.

ROB entered a command on his control panel back in the space station. This sent the King Lightning's main guns flying towards the Megazord's back, attaching itself there to become the Megazord Blaster. Taking aim at Biolent, Fox slammed a blinking red button on the dashboard in front of him, and the other Rangers did the same, unleashing the Megazord Blaster. With a tremendous double-barreled shot it pierced the monster, sending him groaning and falling onto his back before he exploded. The Rangers rejoiced at their victory against Lord Zenn's monster, but Zenn, who had watched the fight from his Venom Fortress, was far from pleased.

"This is unbelievable!!", he shouted at his cowering minions. "Nimrods!! Over-glorified oafs!! Idiots!! Repulsive rejects!! You...You......You nimrods!!".

"Excuse me sire but you already called us that.", Ratsputin added.

"Then allow me to repeat myself Ratsputin.", Zenn added, smacking him with his staff. "YOU ARE ALL NIMRODS!!!!!".

Back up in the space station, Star Fox had joined ROB and General Peppy in victory over the monster.

"Congratulations Power Rangers.", Peppy said. "Lylat is indebted to you once again. I trust that you will keep her safe should Lord Zenn launch anymore attacks on her.".

"He won't bring us down.", Krystal said. "We'll be there as soon as he comes at us if he does.".

"And I will supply you with whatever....whatever........", ROB was about to say something but all of a sudden he had a short circuit. "Aye, yi, yi!! It's the big one!! The big one I tell you!!".

"Oh no!!", everyone else said in disbelief, then laughed about it.

Chapter 4

Lord Zenn was sitting by himself when he thought of a ghastly idea for revenge against the Power Rangers.

"Now Needle!!", he ordered. "Hurry up and make another monster!! One that can pollute this galaxy within only a few minutes if possible.".

"Of course sir.", Needle said mixing up a new beaker. "I'm preparing this next monster as quickly as I can. This one I'm sure will be able to make this star system yours without any trouble at all.".

"Can I do something for you Lord Zenn?", asked Imp, the short hooded one with a demented smile. "If I were out there fighting the Star Fox Rangers I wouldn't even get a scratch on me!".

"Stay out of this you diminutive dimwit!", Ratsputin said knocking Imp aside. "I most certainly won't fail you sire! As soon as the Rangers come after me I'll disembowel them before they even feel it.".

"Very well Ratsputin.", Zenn replied. "When is my new monster expected to be ready?!".

"There's a problem with that sire.", Needle said. "This next monster needs to contain the same amount of salt that's in an ocean. The only way we can get that much is from a nearby planet called Aquas, by draining all it's water.".

"Then what are you idiots waiting for?!", Zenn shouted, so angry that he made the room glow bright red. "Deploy Needle's Ocean Obliterator to that planet and don't stop until you have all it's water!! Ratsputin, you go with them and take more Pirrackors with you!!".

"What about me sire?", Imp asked.

"You too Imp.", Lord Zenn said. "I honestly could care less. Just make sure you don't fowl it up this time or else!!".

With that, Lord Zenn's minions flew down to Aquas to begin their latest evil scheme. While they were doing so, Star Fox was still in the orbital station. Fox was practicing strikes with his sword when he heard somebody faint. Worried for whoever it was he ran to see what happened, and there was Krystal lying on the floor twitching.

"Oh no!!", Fox said, and started performing CPR on her. Before he knew it Krystal immediately opened her eyes again, but they were glowing bright pink as she turned completely black all over.

"What's going on in here?!", Slippy asked as he ran in. "Fox, what happened to Krystal?!".

"I don't know!", Fox said panicking. "I thought she was having a heart attack or something, tried CPR, and now this!".

Krystal began to say something mysterious. It obviously wasn't in English. The language she was using was much different.

"Dasha fotarra meyoo lano rawp.", she said. "Dasha fotarra meyoo lano rawp. Dasha fotarra meyoo lano rawp! Dasha fotarra meyoo lano rawp!!".

From her staff, which she had brought with her in case it came in handy against the enemy, there was the same mysterious pink glow. Getting up from the floor Krystal ran to her staff, opened it up, and allowed it to project some sort of hologram. The hologram was of a mysterious figure on a tropical world wearing a powerful suit of armor. What was the most strange about this character was that he looked like another Ranger.

Chapter 5

Lord Zenn's minions had descended upon Aquas to begin their new plan, stealing all of it's water to create Needles' new monster. Residents of the planet were horrified as the Pirrackors attacked, devastating the capital city of Aquas hoping it would lead to no opposition from the locals. Needles and Stitches had set up a group of large suction machines to drain all the water off Aquas. They were part of a network of machines called the Ocean Obliterator.

"What's this new monster of your's supposed to be like anyway?", Stitches asked.

"It's a surprise Stitches.", Needles replied. "I won't reveal anymore about the monster until we have enough water to make it, which should be any minute now.".

A gauge on the machine told Needles that they had successfully dehydrated the planet, so Needles quickly whipped out another of his beakers to get started on the monster. Lord Zenn descended upon their position with Ratsputin and Imp by his sides.

"Well?", Zenn asked. "Are you just about finished Needles?!".

"You're just in time Lord Zenn.", the mad scientist answered. "Now that we have enough water, all that's left is to pour this substance into it to make the finishing touches. I'll call him Stone Cold. He has enough salt in him to corrode any machine he touches completely, especially the Star Fox Rangers' ships.".

"Excellent!", Zenn shouted with an evil laugh. "Hurry up and smash that beaker open so that I can see it!!".

Needles threw the beaker so hard towards the ground below them that it smashed open, causing the monster to form out of it as usual. Stone Cold was born. He was a rust colored rock creature with salt allover his body, and carried a large mace with him for a weapon.

"No metal can withstand my salt!!", he shouted. "Give me something to rust to pieces and I'll do it!! Come on, what do you want me to destroy?!!".

"Have patience Stone Cold.", Zenn said. "The Power Rangers will most likely come after you as soon as you cause a little damage to get their attention. Have a little fun my monster!".

With that Stone Cold went on a rampage, smashing cars and trucks everywhere he went, leaving clouds of rust behind. Just as Zenn had planned, Star Fox received an emergency warning back in the orbital station.

"What is it General?", Falco asked.

"Hurry to Aquas Rangers!", Peppy insisted. "Lord Zenn has released a new monster that can destroy any machine it touches with little effort. Worse yet that may include your Zords. Be careful Rangers, and good luck!".

"We'll take him down General, don't worry about it.", Slippy said.

"Okay guys..", Fox said. "It's Morphin Time!!".

"Lunar Dager Power!!".

"Stinger Lance Power!!".

"Axe Cloud Power!!".

"Diamond Mace Power!!".

"King Lightning Power!!".

With the usual bright flash of light the Rangers leaped into action. Falco easily dismantled 5 Pirrackors by himself. Although he wasn't physically as strong as the other Rangers, Slippy beat 3 Pirrackors by chopping them in half down the middle with is sword. In a tag-team fashion Katt and Krystal each gave 4 other Pirrackors a deadly punch right through the chest, one after another until 8 of them had been dropped to the ground. Fox readied his sword and engaged Stone Cold one-on-one. Unfortunately the monster destroyed his sword by simply blocking it with his salt, then swatted Fox into the other Rangers with his mace.

"This is gonna be harder than I thought.", Krystal said worriedly.

"You don't know the half of it.", Stone Cold said, and kicked up a gigantic cloud of salt into the air.

Within minutes the unthinkable had happened. The monster's salt was so deadly that it had now crippled their Zords.

Chapter 6

It seemed that the Rangers wouldn't be able to defeat Stone Cold without their Zords should Lord Zenn had made his new monster grow as usual. The monster's power to destroy machinery with it's high levels of salt had crippled the Zords so that the Megazord could not be formed to stop him. All of a sudden Fox looked up in the sky of Aquas to see a large fleet of Cornerian warships heading for Lord Zenn and his henchmen.

"We're not done yet team!", he said.

"Looks like the Calvary's arrived to bail us out." Falco said.

"Don't be so sure.", Stone Cold replied.

As the Cornerian fleet attacked the monster and his Pirrackor allies, Stone Cold threw another cloud of salt up into the air, destroying their weaponry in the process.

"This isn't good.", Peppy said aboard one of the ships. "If we don't do anything to stop that monster Lord Zenn will quickly overpower us and take over the Lylat System.".

"We'll have to just fight them off with what we have.", Krystal said.

Thus the Power Rangers dove back into battle, Katt delivering an uppercut that broke off part of Stone Cold's jaw, then Slippy knocking him down with a kick across his knees. Fox grabbed Stone Cold in a choke hold, then repeatedly smashed the monster's head against the ground. The Pirrackors came in to try and stop the Rangers, but they ended up dismantled with little effort by Falco and Krystal high kicking them and shoulder-throwing them into each other.

"Ay yi yi!", ROB said while watching the battle from the Orbital Station. "The Rangers are holding their own fine at the moment, but they'll be without the Megazord if the monster is made into a giant like the previous one! I must finish this as soon as possible!".

ROB was working on a special formula that, when sprayed on the Zords, would reactivate them to form the Megazord. Back out in the battle, Lord Zenn had grown tired of waiting for Stone Cold to finish the Star Fox Rangers off, so he smacked Stitches with his staff out of frustration.

"This is taking far too long!!", he ordered. "Hurry up and make that monster gigantic, or I'll give you a gigantic bruise on your brain!!".

"At once Sire.", Stitches said, readying one of his meteorites. "The universe is yet to know what's it like when this monster grows!".

Quickly Stitches threw the meteorite hard enough so that it smashed right into the monster, causing it to grow at least 100 feet tall.

"You don't frighten us, ay yi yi!", ROB said, deploying a missile to Star Fox's location.

When it arrived the missile exploded, sending out a liquid all over the Zords that reactivated them just in time.

"Hurry Rangers!", Peppy shouted.

"Thanks guys!", Fox said. "We'll take care of things from here!".

"We need Megazord power now!!", the Rangers shouted together.

Once again, the Lunar Dagger formed the right arm, the Stinger Lance formed the left arm, the Diamond Mace formed the right leg, the Axe Cloud formed the left leg, and the King Lightning formed the rest of the body. The King Lightning detached it's main guns, allowing 2 thighs to extend out from under neath, then it's dorsal fin divided down the middle and formed the waist. As the 4 other Zords attached to the King Lightning in their appropriate docking points, the cockpit of the King Lightning formed the head, opening up on top to reveal the face.

Chapter 7

Star Fox continued their battle with Stone Cold, but now they had the Megazord at their disposal to fight him off with. The Megazord attacked the monster with a powerful right kick to it's hip, followed by a left jab to the face. Stone Cold tried to turn the tables by grabbing onto the Megazord and vibrating itself, sending a cloud of salt all over it that it thought would be strong enough to disable it.

"Yes!!", Lord Zenn shouted watching the fight eagerly. "Yes!! Yes!! Destroy those annoying Star Fox Rangers my monster!! The universe is mine!!".

"What a show!!", Imp said chuckling like he had gone insane. "Stone Cold is going to knock the Rangers down like a stack of building blocks! Hooray for our side!".

"No!", Katt said. "He's gonna dismantle us just when it was starting to look good!".

"Don't worry Rangers.", ROB said from his post. "The substance I used to reactivate your Zords before you combined will make sure they won't be deactivated by that salt again. It contains high levels of aluminum and potassium, therefore it's strong enough to counter the effects of the salt clouds! Ay yi yi!".

"Thanks ROB.", Fox said. "Okay guys, no more cowering! It's time we give it to this monster where it hurts!".

"I couldn't agree more Fox.", Peppy said. "ROB, send them the Megazord Blaster!!".

"Affirmative!", ROB said.

ROB entered a command on his control panel back in the space station. This sent the King Lightning's main guns flying towards the Megazord's back, attaching itself there to become the Megazord Blaster. Taking aim at the monster, Fox slammed a blinking red button on the dashboard in front of him, and the other Rangers did the same, unleashing the Megazord Blaster. With a tremendous double-barreled shot it pierced the monster, sending him groaning and falling onto his back before he exploded. Zenn however had a backup plan.

"This isn't over Star Fox.", he said. "As long as I still have the Ocean Obliterator I can recreate Stone Cold and.....".

Before Lord Zenn could finish what he was about to say, a large, powerful looking ship appeared above them in the sky. It fired upon the Ocean Obliterator, destroying the machine within only a few seconds. Without a word from whoever was aboard that ship it flew away quickly. Lord Zenn was not happy with the results of what had just happened, so as always he glowed bright red and took his fury out on his cowering minions, starting by booting Imp off into the horizon, and smacking the rest of his minions with his staff.

"Imbeciles!!", he shouted. "Worthless mutant garbage!! If I wasn't forced to babysit the lot of you on a daily basis while trying to eliminate Star Fox, I would have had the entire universe like putty in my hands!! This is all your fault!!".

"We're sorry sire!!", his henchmen all shouted.

"We'll make it up to you however we can Lord Zenn!!", Stitches pleaded. "Please don't strike us anymore, we'll do a much better job next time!!".

"Who was that?", Slippy asked. "Thankfully it was most likely on our side, otherwise it wouldn't have attacked Lord Zenn.".

"Pathara.", Krystal said, spooking the other Rangers.

"What is it Krystal?", Falco asked. "You're starting to do that creepy thing you did before we came here again.".

"Pathara.", Krystal said again. "Pathara. Pathara! Pathara!".

Without getting the consent of others Krystal jumped back into her Zord and flew after the mysterious ship.

"This is strange.", Peppy said. "Star Fox Rangers, it looks like she's trying to go after that strange ship that just helped you defeat Zenn. What does she want with it though I don't have an idea of.".

"She kept saying Pathara.", Fox added. "From what I know she told me once it was a word of her native language, Cerinian. Pathara was their word for 'father'.".

Krystal continued to follow after the mysterious ship hoping to catch up to it, but to no avail. It had already flown too far away in space for her to reach it.

Chapter 8

Star Fox had returned to the Youth Center back on Corneria since Lord Zenn had retreated at the moment, and did not hint of whenever he might attack again. Fox was trying to comfort Krystal while she was depressed over not being able to catch the mysterious ship from before on Aquas.

"What's so special to you about that ship?", Fox asked.

"It has to be him.", Krystal replied. "The one aboard that ship had the same brain patterns I had detected on the day of Zenn's first attack. They were definitely Cerinian.".

"Was that also the case with the guy in the black suit you showed us before?", Falco asked.

"How come you kept shouting 'pathara' earlier?", asked Slippy.

"Pathara is the Cerinian word for father.", Krystal added.

"Are you serious?!", Fox asked in surprise. "You told us a few years ago that Cerinia was destroyed, the entire planet encased in stone!".

"Cerinia was a special world.", she continued. "It emitted a very powerful energy like Sauria does. Of course, Cerinia was able to keep itself from breaking apart on it's own unlike Sauria. If I'm right, then that same energy has kept my people alive under that stone all these years. My father may have been the first one to awaken from such a sleep. The legacy of Cerinia survived on Sauria when many of us emigrated on the planet, the Saurian dinosaurs adopting different aspects of our culture even after the settlers died off.".

Krystal's story further baffled the other Rangers.

Meanwhile, Lord Zenn was back in his Venom fortress, whacking Needle on the head with his staff so that he would work faster.

"Hurry up!!", Zenn shouted. "Get that new monster ready so that we can deploy it to Katina!! With not enough time to rest from the previous one the Power Rangers won't be up to the challenge of stopping us!!".

"Almost finished sire.", Needle said mixing together a new beaker. "I just need to stir in more fleas and a few more drops of plutonium extract.".

"We'll be able to really get those annoying Rangers this time!", Imp said laughing.

"Shut up Imp!!", Zenn shouted kicking him. "You were never part of this discussion!!".

"I volunteer to attack Katina to soften them up sire.", Ratsputing said.

"Go on then!", Zenn ordered. "You do need the exercise Ratsputin.".

With that Ratsputin headed off to Katina with a massive group of Pirrackors. In no time at all they had overrun the Cornerian troops stationed on that planet.

"Permission to aid Ratsputin sire?", Stitches asked Zenn.

"Permission granted.", he replied.

"Thank you sire!", Stitches said, readying another meteorite. "The universe is yet to know what's it like when this monster grows!".

Quickly Stitches threw the meteorite hard enough so that it smashed right into Ratsputin, causing him to grow at least 100 feet tall, and begin smashing up anything in his way.

Chapter 9

"Hey look at the TV!", Eugine said.

"What about it?", Farcus asked.

"It's square looking.", Eugine said.

"I thought you meant the news report of a giant rat monster attacking Katina.", Farcus said exasperated.

"Yeah that too.", Eugine added.

"Looks like we gotta deal with Zenn's cronies again.", Fox said getting up from his table.

"Again already?", Slippy asked. "Guess Lord Zenn's getting serious.".

"Then let's hurry and have that guy seeing stars.", Katt said.

"Okay guys..", Fox said. "It's Morphin Time!!".

"Lunar Dager Power!!".

"Stinger Lance Power!!".

"Axe Cloud Power!!".

"Diamond Mace Power!!".

"King Lightning Power!!".

Upon transforming into the Rangers, Star Fox arrived on Katina to see Ratsputin continuing to devastate all that was in his way. Not wasting any time they engaged the Megazord sequence. As usual the Lunar Dagger formed the right arm, the Stinger Lance formed the left arm, the Diamond Mace formed the right leg, the Axe Cloud formed the left leg, and the King Lightning formed the rest of the body. The King Lightning detached it's main guns, allowing 2 thighs to extend out from under neath, then it's dorsal fin divided down the middle and formed the waist. As the 4 other Zords attached to the King Lightning in their appropriate docking points, the cockpit of the King Lightning formed the head, opening up on top to reveal the face.

"Megazord activated!!", the shouted together.

"We'll finish you off!", Fox said as they were about to fight Ratsputin.

"Don't be so sure Star Fox Rangers!", their opponent replied. "I'm not mere cannon fodder like Needle's useless monsters!".

The fight began with Ratsputin slashing the Megazord with his claws, prompting the Megazord to kick him in the shin. Then the Megazord delivered a powerful jab to Ratputin's chest, knocking on his back before he quickly stood up again. Ratsputin impaled the Megazord on it's hip area with his claws, then threw the mighty robot behind him into some nearby buildings. The Megazord got up and hit Ratsputin in the face with it's knees.

"We have a little surprise for you!", he shouted.

The Megazord looked behind itself but it was too late. It was quickly attacked by a large fleet of Pirrackors in starfighters and assault ships.

Chapter 10

The Megazord struggled to stay on it's feet as it was attacked by enemy ships. Luckily the Pirrackor fighters were no match for it as it smashed each one to the ground with it's fists, one after the other.

"There's too many of them!!", Slippy said.

"Then it's time to divide and conquer!!", Fox said. "Megazord disassemble!!".

The Zords each separated, transforming back into their vehicular modes, and each fought off the enemy fighters. Katt destroyed a dozen of them easily while Falco gave her a hand by making a dozen more chase him, causing them to crash into the ground before they could pull up. Krystal dropped 3 bombs right at Ratsputin's feet, knocking him on his back, allowing Slippy to drop another bomb on the monster's chest.

"This isn't over Rangers!!", Ratsputin shouted. "I'll be back, and next time I won't play so nicely!!".

With that Ratsputin and his Pirrackors retreated from Katina. It seemed like today's fight was over, but such a possibility was too good to be true. There was Lord Zenn in a personal ship of his, Needle standing by his side with a new monster potion ready.

"Aww, is this game over so soon?", Zenn asked. "Power Rangers, I just brought you a nice new playmate. So much more fun than that pompous coward Ratsputin. Needle!! Activate my new monster!!".

"At once sire!", Needle said, and threw the beaker down to Katina.

The substance inside began to boil and fizz before it expanded, growing into Zenn's newest monster. It appeared to be a gigantic cross between a crow and a chicken, wearing cleats and wielding a massive chainsaw.

"BA HA HA HA!!", it shouted. "I'm gonna make driftwood out of you Power Pinheads!! Call me the Choppy Chook!!".

"And I thought Biolent was ridiculous.", Falco said.

"No time to make jokes about it's appearance Falco.", Fox added. "Megazord back to action!!".

The Megazord reformed and began to fight Choppy Chook. Unfortunately it was heavily damaged from it's previous battle with Ratsputin and his Pirrackors, giving Choppy Chook an upper-hand against the Rangers. With his saw he quickly severed the Megazord's left arm, dropping it to the ground. The Megazord struck back with a right jab to Choppy Chook's beak, but Choppy Chook quickly revved up his saw and ran it up against the Megazord's chest.

"Is there no stopping this guy?!", Katt asked. "If he keeps this up he's gonna make us into kindling!".

"We're not gonna be able to take much more damage like this!!", Slippy said. "The power core is only at 47%!!".

Just when all hope seemed lost, up in the sky above the battle was the same mysterious black ship they saw on Aquas. This time however, as it delivered several shots from it's main cannons to Choppy Chook, the mysterious ship transformed. It then landed in the battlefield as a mighty giant robot ready for action.

"You can't scare me like that, BA HA HA HA!!", Choppy Chook shouted.

He was wrong, as the robot fired on him repeatedly until he could no longer sustain any damage, causing Choppy Chook to the fall to the ground in agony and explode. Upon completing it's objective the robot prepared to leave, but Fox stopped it.

"Hold on!", he said. "Who are you? Why have you been helping us?".

The mysterious robot said nothing, and quickly flew off back into space without a word.

Chapter 11

Lord Zenn was as usual brooding over another of his losses.

"Needle!!", he shouted. "Hurry up and get another monster out there while the Power Rangers are weakened!! We must strike now while they're bruise!!".

"At once sire!!", Needle said readying another of his potions. "This one will practically devastate them!".

Quickly Needle threw the new potion down to Zoness, causing it to smash when it hit the ground. Right away it bubbled and grew into a bat-like creature with an almost deafening shriek.

"My ears!!", Stitches cried. "What is that thing?!".

"Soniscream is his name.", Needle said. "His screams are so devastatingly loud that he will render the entire Lylat System deaf. Unable to hear us coming we'll be able to take over with ease!".

"Hooray!!", Imp said. "We're gonna have a rap concert!!".

"No we're not you idiot.", Ratsputin said kicking Imp away.

While Soniscream was wreaking havoc on Zoness, shattering all glass with his deadly sound waves, the Star Fox Rangers were struggling with their badly damaged ships to return to the orbital station near Corneria, after their battle against Choppy Chook.

"Ay yi yi!", ROB said from his post. "Rangers, your Zords have sustained almost too much damage to return! I must send out as many repair crews that are available!".

"Thanks ROB.", Slippy replied. "We'll hold out as best as we can.".

"Oh no, now it's even worse!", ROB said.

"Rangers!", Peppy exclaimed. "Zenn has unleashed another monster, this time on Zoness! It's so loud that it's almost completely canceling out our radar systems!".

"We better deliver the Megazord Blaster right up his nose.", Falco said ready for more action.

"No!", Slippy said. "It's only been 10 minutes since our previous battle. Zenn wants us to come and fight that monster so that we'll go to pieces in the middle of the siege.".

"I'm beginning to really not like this guy.", Katt said.

"Join the club Katt.", Fox replied. "General, ROB, what about that strange ship that kept helping us before? Can't it do anything to stop Lord Zenn?".

"Negative.", Peppy said solemnly. "We can't get a lock on that ship either. Our best bet right now is to send you repair supplies for your Zords.".

Within the next half hour the repair convoy had reached the Zords to get to work, but Zoness' capital city had been almost totally destroyed by Soniscream.

"Come and get me Rngers.", he sang. "I'll show you some new dangers. You'll learn the meaning of pain, because your audio reception I will drain!!".

Chapter 12

It wasn't long, thankfully, before the convoy had fully repaired the Zords. Now the Rangers were ready to head for Zoness and stop Lord Zenn's new monster.

"Time show to these guys who's boss!", Falco said.

"My thoughts exactly.", Fox replied. "Back to action!!".

Star Fox arrived in what was left of Zoness' capital city. Soniscream was delighted that they had shown up because he was looking for a fight.

"This makes me giddy!", he said. "They're here for me! The time for the stand-off is nigh, and the Rangers are about to die!".

"Don't be so sure.", Slippy said as the Rangers confronted him.

The fight began. Krystal tried to slash at Soniscream with her sword, but he emitted soundwaves that blocked her attack and forced her to the ground. Falco attempted to impale the monster from behind, but Soniscream swung around and knocked him away. Katt and Slippy tried to attack him with a double-team formation, but Soniscream's soundwaves were so powerful that it left them rolling on the ground in agony, trying to cover their ears.

"This guy sings worse than my dad at last year's Yuletide Party!!", Slippy remarked.

"He gives a new meaning to the phrase sour note!", Katt added.

"Wait, I've got an idea.", Fox said. "Everybody, put your sword over mine! Quick!".

So they did. Thinking it wouldn't do them any good, Soniscream let out another of his deadly soundwaves, but this time it was deflected of the Rangers' swords back at him. He was no heavily damaged.

"Enough of this!!", Lord Zenn shouted, watching the fight from his throne room. "Stitches, hurry up and power up that monster!!".

"Yes sire!", Stitches said, getting a new meteorite ready. "The universe has yet to know what it's like when this monster grows!!".

Throwing the meteorite down to Zoness, causing it to break on impact, Stitches had once again caused the monster to grow almost 100 feet tall.

"Now I'm bigger than ever, what do you think of that?!", Soniscream asked. "For crossing the might of Lord Zenn, under my foot you will all go splat!!".

"You're nothing but all talk!", Krystal replied.

"It's time.", Fox said. "We need Megazord power, now!!".

As usual the Lunar Dagger formed the right arm, the Stinger Lance formed the left arm, the Diamond Mace formed the right leg, the Axe Cloud formed the left leg, and the King Lightning formed the rest of the body. The King Lightning detached it's main guns, allowing 2 thighs to extend out from under neath, then it's dorsal fin divided down the middle and formed the waist. As the 4 other Zords attached to the King Lightning in their appropriate docking points, the cockpit of the King Lightning formed the head, opening up on top to reveal the face.

"Megazord activated!!", they shouted together.

The furious battle continued. Soniscream tried destroying the Megazord with is vibrations, but all that did was slightly loosen a few smaller parts on the massive robot. The Megazord delivered a double-handed smash right down on Soniscream's head, then a whirling kick to his chest and a right hook into his shoulder.

"We need the Megazord Blaster!!", Fox shouted.

The blaster came down from the sky, attached itself to the Megazord's back, and all that was left was for it to fire right into Soniscream. With one last cry of pain Soniscream fell to the ground and exploded.

"You morons!!", Zenn shouted, smacking his minions around with his staff. "This is all your fault you simpletons!! I never should've kept you around, even after our imprisonment years ago!! You all sicken me!!".

"We're sorry sire!!", they all said. "We're sorry!! Don't hit us anymore, please!!".

Chapter 13

Slippy was kickboxing with Katt back at the Youth Center. His fighting had improved greatly due to his habitual visits to the gym, and his increased experience with hand-to-hand combat against Lord Zenn's forces. Just when Slippy had nearly knocked Katt he got a call on his cell phone, which made him nearly jump out of his skin upon answering it.

"What's wrong?", Farcus asked from behind the counter.

"Yeah, where's the fire?", Eugine asked. "Somebody need a kidney transplant? Your wife having a baby?".

"Yes!", Slippy replied simply, ran for his nearby car and rushed off to the hospital.

"It's happening?!", Katt asked in shock.

Falco said nothing, he just spat out his fruit punch in surprise, and drove Katt to the hospital via motorcycle. Fox was so surprised that it was time that he dropped his dumbbells, grabbed a pair of roller blades he came in with and skated off to the hospital.

"Hopefully I'll make it there in time!!", Fox said to himself.

Krystal, being the most physically active of the Star Fox Rangers, simply ran after everybody else, almost fast enough to reach Falco and Katt. In only a matter of 10 minutes Star Fox had reached Corneria City General Hospital. Considering the circumstances Slippy was the first upstairs to reach the maternity ward on the third floor. In one room there was Amanda, who within only a few, painful minutes, had given birth to a healthy cluster of octuplets. Afterwords all she could do at the moment was rest.

"This is the best day of my life.", Slippy said, on his knees at her bedside.

"How many of them are there?", Falco asked coming in with Katt.

"All eight of them.", Slippy replied.

Falco's only reply was rolling his eyes upwards, then fainting on the floor.

Krystal arrived a minute later with Fox by her side. She was so happy for Slippy and Amanda that she gave Fox a big, strong hug.

Meanwhile, Lord Zenn was watching the affair from his fortress on Venom.

"How disgustingly sweet.", he said to himself. "Yet it gives me an idea on how to eliminate the Power Rangers using their biggest weakness, their sentimental idiocy! Needle!!".

"Yes sire?", Needle replied.

"I think it's time we put that special data you found to good use.", Zenn said. "Let's see how the Lylat System likes it when I, Lord Zenn, have a Power Ranger of my own at my disposal.".

"Of course!", Needle said. "The ancient device we uncovered on Sauria. All it needs is somebody who is skilled enough in hand-to-hand combat to wield it's power and the Rangers will be helpless against the wielder.".

"I will adorn the Gold Powers sire!", Ratsputin insisted. "I am already capable enough to control them, and use them to crush the Power Rangers once and for all!".

"You'll do no such thing Ratsputin!!", Zenn shouted as he punched him down. "The Gold Powers only work for those who's intentions are for the greater good, unfortunately. We must find somebody who's that kind of person, convince him that the Rangers are evil, and thus luring him to our side.".

"Shall I search for such a person then sire?", Ratsputin asked.

"Can I go with him?", Imp added, before Ratsputin threw him into a garbage can and kicked it away.

"Of course.", Zenn replied. "And take Imp with him so...you have somebody to talk to as a way to pass the time.".

"It will be done sire!", Ratsputin said, and with Imp and a group of Pirrackors at his side he set off for Sauria to recover the Gold Powers.

Down on Sauria there was a mysterious young blue fox, wearing just a loincloth and carrying a mysterious staff like what Krystal had, examining mysterious ruins near Cape Claw. These were unlike the Spell Stone temples, as the energy these ruins emitted was much more intense, as if it was trying to draw the fox towards it.

"What is this?", he asked. "It's as if this is some sort of force of nature that needs me for something important, but what? Is it sentient?".

Before he could go any further he was ambushed by the Pirrackors. The Pirrackors proved to be no match for him, as he was able to easily bifurcate all of them one after the other with his staff, which now glowed a powerful bright pink.

"Excellent young warrior!", Ratsputin said, applauding the young fox's performance. "You are just the person we are looking for! Tell me, what's your name?".

"I am Sabre Barunetto of Cerinia.", the young fox answered. "I've been traveling the stars with my father to search for my long lost sister. Who are you?".

"I'm the benevolent fighter known as Ratsputin.", Ratsputin said. "I was sent here by the good king Lord Zenn to recruit other fighters for justice to defeat the evil Star Fox Power Rangers. Without your help we won't be able to stop them from destroying this innocent galaxy. The powers emitting from those ruins need you to wield them Sabre, no take them and help us, please!".

"Very well.", Sabre said, not realizing what he was getting himself into.

With a powerful flash of lighting as the sky darkened around him, Sabre found himself instantly transformed into an incredible fighter in gold armor and a red cape. The Gold Ranger was born.

Chapter 14

For a couple of days the Lylat System hadn't received any attacks from Lord Zenn. However, General Peppy looked up in the sky to notice that a large pyramid-like ship came in from space, then landing in an empty field outside of Corneria City. The Gold Ranger appeared before the populace in the air via a large holographic projection of his head.

"People of the Lylat System!", he began. "Fear not, for I am here to save you from the evil that is Star Fox!".

"What is this guy talking about?", Peppy asked, confused by the visitor's opening statement. "All units stand by. We don't really know who this person is. He looks like one of the Power Rangers, but something seems much different about him. It's as if his powers are derived from something much more.....ancient.".

"Star Fox Rangers!", Sabre said. "Come out and show yourselves you cowards! I know of your heinous activities against all these innocent people! Deny it all you want, but I have proof given to me by the benevolent Lord Zenn, protector of all that is good.".

"Lord Zenn?, Peppy thought to himself. "Now I know this guy's crazy. I better contact the Rangers to see if they can reason with him so that things don't get ugly.".

Meanwhile, back in Corneria City General Hospital, Slippy was keeping Amanda and their new children company while she rested in bed. Katt managed to wake Falco up with a bottle of smelling salts she borrowed from a nearby doctor. Fox also had an important moment to bring about to Krystal. She looked as Fox got on his knees before her, and bore to her a small, beautiful engagement ring.

"Fox..", Krystal said surprised. "Are you serious? I thought you would only do this in my dreams.".

"No this is for real.", Fox replied bearing the ring. "Krystal Barunetto, will you accept the offer to become Mrs. Fox McCloud?".

Krystal thought for a moment, but before she could say anything, she and the other Rangers heard a beeping from their Morphers.

"We read you ROB.", Fox asked.

"Ay yi yi!", ROB cried. "Rangers, there's a strange man here looking for you. What's worse is he most likely has been tricked into working with Zenn. We need you to reason with him so that this situation doesn't escalate to violence.".

"Understood.", Fox replied. "We're on our way. Come on guys we gotta go.".

"Argh!", Krystal said, clutching her head in pain. "I'm sensing some sort of strange brain patterns. It's coming from....I recognize who it is......He must be somebody related to me by blood.".

"Is it the mysterious Ranger-like person from before?" Slippy asked.

"No, it's not him.", Krystal replied. "It's someone very close to him though. Fox, we have to confront this person and negotiate a resolution!".

"At once.", Fox said. "It's Morphin Time!!".

"Lunar Dager Power!!".

"Stinger Lance Power!!".

"Axe Cloud Power!!".

"Diamond Mace Power!!".

"King Lightning Power!!".

Quickly the Rangers morphed and teleported to the area in front of Sabre's ship.

"Alright here we are.", Fox said. "Who are you, and why would you be insane enough to work with somebody as vicious as Lord Zenn?".

"Lord Zenn, vicious?", Sabre asked. "You're the ones who are vicious. Zenn has even shown me archive footage he took personally of your misdeeds against the Lylat System.".

Sabre displayed video footage of the Rangers fighting Pirrackors, and scenes of buildings in Corneria City being knocked down in flames. It appeared that Zenn had mixed footage together in order to frame Star Fox.

"That's ridiculous!", Falco said. "Those buildings could've been destroyed by anybody. Lylat's been ripped to shreds by a lot of horrifying maniacs, Zenn included!".

"Shut up!!", Sabre shouted, and fired upon the Rangers. Then he jumped out of his ship and engaged Star Fox hand-to-hand. Slippy tried to deliver an uppercut to the Gold Ranger, but he blocked and knocked Slippy to the ground with an upward kick to the face. Katt attacked Sabre with her sword, but he blocked it, causing it to shatter. She tried to and several kicks and punches to the Gold Ranger but he proved to be a very formidable fighter. While Sabre was busy fighting Katt, Fox tried to slash him from behind, but ended up getting kicked in the ribs and knocked to the ground. Falco and Krystal tried to double-team him from the sides, but he knocked them away each with one straight punch, and delivered a double kick that knocked Katt away. The Star Fox Rangers tried to attack him all at once together, but Sabre unleashed a gold-colored shockwave of energy, knocking them near-unconscious.

"Now it's time to finish you off.", Sabre said, readying his blade weapon. "Which of you will it be first?".

Before Sabre could strike down any of the Star Fox Rangers, he started to feel some sort of strange thought patterns coming from Krystal. They looked at each other as if they shared a biological ancestry.

"Who are you?", he asked.

"I have the same question for you.", she replied.

Chapter 15

Sabre was deciding weather or not to kill the Pink Ranger, not knowing who she really was which made things more difficult. Without warning, Fox got back up to his feet and slashed the Gold Ranger in the back.

"I knew you were prone to fighting dirty.", Sabre said. "Now it's time for me to give you fiends a lesson in fighting fair!! Pyramidas, power up!!".

With a quick flash of light Sabre leaped back into his ship, and activated a special command on the dashboard. Said command transformed the ship into an enourmous robot that would daunt the Megazord with it's bulk and firepower.

"I was afraid of this.", Katt said getting up.

"This guy's got such big guns I'm almost jealous.", Falco said.

"We need Megazord Power now!!", the Rangers said together.

As usual the Lunar Dagger formed the right arm, the Stinger Lance formed the left arm, the Diamond Mace formed the right leg, the Axe Cloud formed the left leg, and the King Lightning formed the rest of the body. The King Lightning detached it's main guns, allowing 2 thighs to extend out from under neath, then it's dorsal fin divided down the middle and formed the waist. As the 4 other Zords attached to the King Lightning in their appropriate docking points, the cockpit of the King Lightning formed the head, opening up on top to reveal the face.

"Megazord activated!!", the Rangers shouted, and the fight continued.

The Megazord tried to knock Pyramidis down with a powerful right drop kick, then a powerful left hook, but to no avail. Pyramidis responded by blasting the Megazord with a powerful shockwave it drew in from the air and forced into the ground. Then the Megazord got back up delivered a powerful, but mostly ineffective, headbutt to Pyramidis' chest. While the Megazord prepared to attack again, Pyramidis delivered a heavy assault upon it with it's 2 shoulder cannons. Before he could attack again, Sabre received a call from Lord Zenn.

"What is it Lord Zenn?", he asked.

"Hurry over to Corneria City General Hospital Gold Ranger!!", Zenn shouted urgently. "The Power Rangers have hatched an insidious plot to destroy it with an orbiting laser satellite, and millions of innocent civilians trapped inside. Pyramidis is more than strong enough to take the blow for them, now get going!".

"Right Zenn!", Sabre said, and quickly flew off in Pyramidis to the hospital.

"No!!", Slippy said. "Amanda's still in there unprotected!! If we fight him there she could be killed in the crossfire!!".

"There has to be a way to beat this guy.", Fox said. "Especially one that doesn't involve smashing up the hospital. We'll have to try drawing him as far away from there as possible.".

So the Megazord went after Pyramidis, confronting it at the hospital.

"Step away from the building!", Fox said. "We can't have you hurting the unprotected in that facility!".

"You can't take me away from this position.", Sabre replied. "You're trying to demolish the hospital with an orbiting laser, but I won't let you!".

"Then here's a proposition.", Fox said. "If you promise not to damage the hospital, then we won't harm it either. Are we clear?".

"Very well then.", Sabre answered. "We'll settle this in Corneria City Harbor, thus having a much smaller risk of causing any serious casualties.".

Pyramidis and the Megazord continued to face off, this time in the Corneria City harbor. The Megazord tried smashing into Pyramidis with a shoulder check to the chest, then low kicked it in the feet. That barely made Pyramidis wobble, let alone knock it down. Pyramidis retaliated by opening fire upon the Megazord with it's hand blasters.

"There's one last resort to this we haven't tried yet.", Fox said. "We need the Megazord Blaster!!".

"Ay yi yi!", ROB said from his post back in the orbital station. "I'm sending it right now!".

The Megazord Blaster came down from the sky and docked itself onto the Megazord's back. Taking aim at Pyramidis, the Megazord fired a powerful energy blast. The attack knocked Pyramidis down on it's back, but unfortunately the fight was still not over. Pyramidis used it's hand blasters once more on the Megazord, damaging it so badly that it caused the Megazord to break apart.

"That's not possible!!", Krystal exclaimed. "The Megazord Blaster is the most powerful weapon we have, and even that couldn't stop him!!".

"Fall back for now!!", Fox said. "We need to head back for repairs quickly!!".

With that Star Fox flew away in their Zords to the Orbital Station. Pyramidis gave chase.

Lord Zenn meanwhile was watching joyfully from his fortress, clapping and cheering for the Gold Ranger.

"Yes!!", Zenn shouted. "Yes!! Yes!! It won't be long now!! With the Star Fox Rangers out of the way, and the Gold Ranger at my disposal, I will be able to decimate Corneria and make it look like it was the work of somebody else!!".

Quickly the Rangers had landed their Zords in the Orbital Station's docking bay. ROB quickly got to work repairing the damage from their battle against Pyramidis.

"Ay yi yi!!", ROB cried. "Whoever he is he's almost unstoppable!! Look what he did to your Zords Rangers!!".

"Oh well, it can't get any worse.", Slippy said.

"You had to open your big mouth didn't you?", Falco asked.

"What is it?", Slippy asked.

"No doubt what just showed up outside.", Fox said, pointing at Pyramidis showing up outside the station.

Chapter 16

Pyramidis had just now stopped outside the Orbital Station, ready to attack if necessary.

"Come out and fight you cowards!", Sabre shouted. "You will never escape justice! I'll make you pay for your crimes against the Lylat System!".

"You have the wrong people!", Fox shouted back. "We only retreated because you attacked us, and we fought back because you're working for Lord Zenn. You're the real threat to the galaxy here.".

"Stop lying!", Sabre replied. "If you don't come out of there I'll open fire and finish you off right now!".

"We have to show this guy who Zenn really is.", Slippy said. "If only he knew of the monster he sided with, then we'd probably have him on our side. We could use somebody with his firepower to protect Lylat.".

"ROB, do you have any archive footage of Zenn's attacks?", Fox asked.

"Affirmative.", ROB replied. "I'll use as much as possible in order to show our attacker why he should join us instead of Zenn.".

Unfortunately for them, Zenn was spying on them from his fortress back on Venom, giving him an idea to tilt the balance in his favor.

"Needle, get in here.", he said.

"He didn't yell at me for once, that's nice.", Needle thought to himself as he came to Zenn's side. "How may I serve you sire? Do you need a new monster to further the Rangers' troubles on top of the Gold Ranger? I was thinking of one made from a mixture of packaging foam and old nacho cheese.".

"Sounds interesting but no.", Zenn replied. "I need a digital monster that will break into the Orbital Station's computer systems to warp their archive footage of their fights against me, making them look even more despicable than the Gold Ranger perceives them to be. Upon seeing such things he'll be so enraged that he'll blow them out of orbit!!".

"At once then sire.", Needle said. "It'll only take a few minutes to program the monster for the operation.".

"I will keep them distracted while Needle gets the monster ready.", Ratsputin insisted.

"You better not fail me this time Ratsputin.", Zenn said. "I'm in a better mood than I normally am today, so don't spoil it for me, or else.".

"Can I come too?", Imp asked chuckling like an idiot.

"Just get out of my sight I don't care.", Zenn replied.

With that, Ratsputin and Imp gathered up a group of Pirrackors and proceeded to break into the Orbital Station. Without being detected at first the Pirrackors cut a hole in the outside of the station, a long tube leading to the opening, and quickly rushed inside to attack.

"Ay yi yi!", ROB cried.

"Now what?", Falco asked.

"It's an emergency!", ROB replied. "Lord Zenn has sent Ratsputin, a group of Pirrackors, and some short creature with a demented grin on his face who looks unimportant among them! It's a good thing they're not attacking us from the outside, because the Zords still need a few more minutes to be fully repaired.".

"Then it looks like we'll have our hands full again.", Fox said. "Back to action!!".

As soon as Fox said the word, the Power Rangers headed the Pirrackors off in a nearby hallway and began to fight them off. Slippy bifurcated 3 of the enemy foot soldiers down the middle of their heads, while Falco took out 5 of them with deadly thrusts to their chests. Fox spun his sword so fast and so strongly that it almost looked like a saw blade, allowing him to tear 8 other Pirrackors to pieces. Krystal and Katt tag-teamed 10 more Pirrackors, each of them dashing back and forth chopping up 5 of them, one at a time. Then Fox had to deal with Ratsputin as he armed his claws, and delivered a dozen quick strikes to the Red Ranger. Fox countered by tripping Ratsputin with a low kick, and Slippy almost chopped off one of Ratsputin's arms. However, the rodent warrior rolled out of the way, and knocked Katt and Krystal both back each with a deadly punch.

"I'll finish them off for ya Ratsputin!", Imp said, charging at Falco.

"Don't try me short stack.", Falco replied, and kicked Imp so hard that he knocked the diminutive henchman through a nearby window, sending him hurdling through space.

Imp spent only a few minutes flying through space until he fell to Fortuna as it wasn't far from the Orbital Station.

"I should've seen that coming.", Zenn said, watching the fight from his throne. "Needle, is that monster ready yet?".

"Oh yes it is sire!", Needle said readying a new beaker. "I've fully programmed it to break into any computer it can find. The Star Fox Rangers won't be able to defeat him as soon as he's hacked into their systems.".

With a quick throw Needle threw the beaker down from Venom to the Orbital Station. The beaker broke through the ceiling and shattered as it hit the floor. Bubbling and fizzing as it expanded, the slime it had contained quickly grew into a peculiar monster with a trash can for a torso, clock-work looking arms and legs, and a computer monitor for a head.

"Look out Rangers!", it said. "You'll need more than a fly swatter if you wanna squash this bug in the system!".

Meanwhile, the Rangers were still fighting Ratsputin, who was able to overpower them almost completely before he too was sucked out the window by the vacuum of space, and sent floating away helplessly.

"Somebody get me out of here!", he pleaded.

"I've got you!", Sabre said, pulling him into Pyramidis' cockpit with a tractor beam.

Back in the Orbital Station, Slippy was able to seal up the hole in the window with a special barrier device he carried with him.

"That should hold it.", he said. "Now let's get back to the command room and clear our names to that guy in the gold suit.".

"Ay yi yi!", ROB said running to the Rangers. "Zenn has just sent a new monster in after us! The worst part is it's in here!".

"You mean one of those disgusting freaks of nature just broke into our base?!", Katt asked.

"Freak of nature is an incorrect classification for me Green Ranger.", the monster said coming up from behind them. "I, Compucog, am composed of machinery, which is obviously not part of nature. My logic circuitry aside, prepare to be deleted!".

Chapter 17

The Star Fox Rangers responded to their attacker by first holding their ground, but he forced them to fight back by unleashing a powerful, rainbow laser at them, knocking them on the ground. First Katt attacked by driving her sword into Compucog's screen, blinding him. This allowed Falco to deliver a low slash across the floor to trip Compucog on the back. The other 3 Rangers kept him down at gunpoint.

"Try anything else against us and you're history.", Fox said. "What are you doing here? Why did Lord Zenn send you?".

"That information is contained in my folder only Red Ranger!", Compucog said, and quickly disappeared right before his opponents.

"He just turned into a data stream!", Slippy exclaimed. "I'm not kidding! He just disassembled his physical self and ran away!".

"Where could he go if he's just a bunch of little gigabytes?", Krystal asked.

"Ay yi yi!", ROB cried. "The main computer system! I just saw him flying towards the central terminal! If he succeeds in his plan we could be powerless to stop him!".

"We better stop this guy!", Fox said. "I just wish there was a way for us to follow him, but how do you follow somebody into a computer network?".

"I'll try to unleash an anti-virus program to stop Compucog.", Slippy said. "You guys stay out here and fight off any further attacks from Zenn.".

"You got it Slippy.", Falco replied.

"I won't let you!", Sabre said jumping in between them. "Compucog is fighting alongside Lord Zenn and myself for the good of all who are pure! I won't let you kill him!".

"You don't understand!!", Krystal protested. "We're not your enemies, Lord Zenn and his minions are your enemies!! They're using you for their own selfish desires for conquest!!".

"Trying to manipulate me again are you?", Sabre asked her. "How do I know your leader won't try to take me out while you have me distracted, just like what happened on Corneria? The Barunettos have a proud family tradition of bringing peace and justice to all they come across, and I will keep that tradition alive!".

"The Barunettos?", Krystal said surprised. "Your family name is Barunetto? That....That's my last name as well!".

"Are you...", Sabre almost couldn't believe what she just said.

All of a sudden a powerful telepathic bond started to form between them. Both of them started to see visions of their past selves as children, playing together in the tropical forests of their homeworld. Krystal's parents were there as well, as well as millions of other blue foxes wearing the same style of clothing as the inhabitants of the far off planet who were encased in volcanic rock. This was almost too good to be true.

"Sabre?", Krystal asked. "Am I dreaming, or is this really you?".

"I was about to ask you the same question.", he replied.

"The Gold Ranger's your brother?!", Fox asked Krystal in shock.

Falco said nothing, and simply fainted onto the floor.

Slippy, always having a special device with him in case of situations such as this one, scanned both Krystal and Sabre, and was shown on a small screen that their DNA were a perfect match, meaning they were biologically related.

"It all check out!", Slippy said. "Krystal, you and the Gold Ranger are related by blood!".

Krystal simply said nothing, because she was so happy that started crying and embraced Sabre with open arms.

"I never thought I'd see you again!", she said. "Does this mean that our parents are still alive as well?".

"Father is alive, yes.", Sabre said. "Unfortunately our mother wasn't as lucky. I've been searching the universe with father for you ever since we awoke from Cerinia's remains so that you would be able to finally come home and help us rebuild.".

"That'll have to wait brother.", she said. "Right now we need to defeat Lord Zenn so that he doesn't bring any further harm to the Lylat System.".

"But I was convinced his intentions were good and true.", Sabre replied. "He showed me archive footage of you and the other Power Rangers devastating Corneria for fun.".

"We have our own footage to clear our names with.", Slippy said. "Oh no, Compucog! He's after the footage! We need to stop him before he reaches that file!".

"I distracted you from following him.", Sabre said. "I'll accompany you after him to see if you're telling the truth."

"Thanks for the offer.", Fox said. "We'll gladly take it. Back to action!!".

Chapter 18

Star Fox and Sabre headed for the main computer room to try and track down Lord Zenn's monster. Slippy immediately opened up the computer's console and began working on it.

"What are you doing Slippy?", Falco asked. "This is no time to upload new software.".

"I'm not uploading anything.", Slippy replied. "I'm trying to reverse the flow of date in the computer so that it will force Compucog right back out into the open. I hope we've got him in time before he destroys our proof.".

"Here.", Fox said, sending extra power from his sword into the computer. "Maybe this will help chase that oversized microwave oven out of our machine.".

"OUCH!!", Compucog said from in the computer. "That really stings!! What are you doing?!".

"We just hooked ourselves a big microfiche!", Katt exclaimed.

With a quick splutter of electricity, and small bits of computer chips being spat from the console, the Rangers stepped back as Compucog came flying right back out of the computer.

"That doesn't compute!!", he shouted. "I was so close to finding that blasted file and corrupting it!! You must have hacked into my software somehow!!".

"Now we're going to hack you back into spare parts.", Krystal said, readying her sword.

"You haven't enough memory to do so.", Compucog said, and escaped by being teleported out of the Orbital Station.

"Well we've got good news and bad news.", Fox said. "The good news is we saved the file meant of clear our names. The bad news is Zenn's monster just flew down to Corneria, and we all know what that means.".

Back up on Zenn's base on Venom, Stitches was preparing another of his growth meteor to use on Compucog.

"The universe has yet to know what it's like when this monster grows!", he shouted, and threw the meteor down to Corneria.

When the meteor breached the planet's atmosphere it slammed right into the ground, smashing into pieces on impact, and caused Compucog to grow 100 feet tall.

"File capacity heavily expanded!", the monster said, toppling several buildings in his way. "Additional memory required, so it's time to empty the trash can!!".

"We need Megazord power now!!", the Rangers shouted together.

As usual the Lunar Dagger formed the right arm, the Stinger Lance formed the left arm, the Diamond Mace formed the right leg, the Axe Cloud formed the left leg, and the King Lightning formed the rest of the body. The Megazord delivered a powerful jab to Compucog's face, but the blow did nothing. Instead the monster was so heavily armored that it knocked the Megazord back. Compucog responded by firing another rainbow colored beam from his monitor, heavily damaging the Megazord. Then Compucog smacked the Megazord across the face repeatedly, with a large club that resembled a computer's mouse. The Megazord tried to fight off it's opponent with an upper kick to the chest, but that too did no damage to the monster.

"Upload this into your harddrive!", Compucog shouted, hitting the Megazord with another of his beams.

"This guy's too much for us!", Slippy said. "We need extra firepower if we're going to stop him!".

Meanwhile, back up in the Orbital Station, Sabre had just gotten his much needed look at the video file Star Fox was trying to show him. In the video he saw Lord Zenn laughing maniacally at all the horrendous destruction he had caused, and at news reports of how many civilian casualties there have been in total ever since his first attack.

"Lord Zenn.", Sabre said to himself. "I knew I recognize that name from somewhere. I better get down to Corneria and help my new friends!".

Without wasting any time the Gold Ranger ran back into his ship, and flew back down to Corneria as quickly as he could. As he entered the fray, Sabre saw that the Rangers were indeed struggling without his help, so he attacked Compucog right away. First Compucog got a taste of Pyramidis' main laser, knocking him on his back. Then Pyramidis transformed into it's battle mode and took aim at the monster.

"Power of Pyramidis open fire!!", Sabre shouted.

On the Gold Ranger's command, Pyramidi unleashed a furious volley of laser fire onto the monster. Compucog was so badly damaged that he hand nothing left to do but fall to the ground in pain and explode.

"Yeah!!", Krystal shouted.

"That thing's amazing!!", Katt said.

"I could've done that too.", Falco huffed.

"Guess he finally came to his senses.", Slippy said.

"Thanks for your help Gold Ranger.", Fox said. "Without you we would've been finished.".

"You're very welcome Power Rangers.", Sabre replied. "I've seen the truth that Lord Zenn is a bloodthirsty tyrant like you said. I promise to continue to fight alongside you until his threat is no longer in this galaxy.".

Zenn however was not at all pleased with what he just saw. Naturally he took his rage out on his henchmen. Zenn swatted Needle on the head with his staff, then kicked Stitches in the crotch causing him to fall down on the floor.

"You idiots!!", he shouted while glowing red. "Thanks to your bungling my greatest plan of all time failed!! Why can't I get good enough help these days?!".

"We're sorry sire!!", they all said.

"With the Gold Ranger now fighting alongside those wretched Power Punks we're ruined!!", Zenn shouted. "I've got such a headache!! Get out of my way, I need my asprins!!".

Chapter 19

A few days had passed since Lord Zenn was once again defeated by the Star Fox Rangers, when from his fortress he noticed something interesting on a far off planet. On Fortuna Zenn saw an ancient volcano that lead at least 4000 feet under the planet's surface. This gave Zenn an idea for his next attack.

"Needle!!", he shouted. "I need a new monster. This time it has to be a monster that will dig it's way through any kind of rock, allowing it to strike a planet's core and destroy it!".

"Of course sire.", Needle said. "I'll get right to it. Let me just get the ingredients for this one.".

When Needle searched his laboratory for the ingredients he needed to make his new monster he had a problem.

"Oh dear!", he said. "Molten lava, volcanic ash, volcanic rock, diamond dust, we have none of that! I need those 4 ingredients or I can't make the monster!".

"I'll take care of that part.", Zenn said. "Ratsputin!! Since it's the planet I've targeted, go to Fortuna and bring back a sample of each of the ingredients. Now, before I throw you into that volcano instead!!".

"At once Lord Zenn!", Ratsputin said, and headed down to the planet with a fleet of Pirrackors.

Meanwhile, back on Corneria, Star Fox was hanging out at the Youth Center to celebrate the start of Slippy and Amanda's family. They received thoughtful gifts and necessities for their newborns. Farcus and Eugine had prepared the food, which wasn't easy at first since Farcus had accidentally snagged his oven mitts on the stove, hilarity ensuing as Eugine drenched his friend with baking soda.

"What's that smell from the kitchen?", Fox asked.

"Uh...Nothing.", Eugine replied.

"Yeah, nothing went wrong back there.", Farcus added, trying not to laugh at Eugine's baking soda mustache.

"Whatever you say Charlie Chapolin.", Falco teased.

The celebration was about to continue, when the Rangers heard their morphers beep.

"Sorry everybody.", Katt said. "We've gotta go. There's something important we need to take care of.".

"Why, is somebody having a baby?", Farcus asked.

"Who do you think the party's for you dunce?", Eugine replied.

Star Fox left the Youth Center and answered the call from their morphers.

"What's going on?", Fox asked.

"Ay yi yi!", ROB cried on the other end. "Get to Fortuna Star Fox! Ratsputin and a group of Pirrackors are up to something there! It could be a new monster or worse!".

"We'll take care of those creeps.", Fox said. "It's Morphin Time!!".

"Lunar Dager Power!!".

"Stinger Lance Power!!".

"Axe Cloud Power!!".

"Diamond Mace Power!!".

"King Lightning Power!!".

Upon morphing the Rangers quickly showed up on Fortuna, carefully snooping around so's not to be seen by Zenn's forces. Slippy observed a group of Pirrackors using some kind of suction device to take magma out of the volcano.

"What do you think they're doing?", Krystal asked.

"I don't know exactly.", Slippy replied. "They're taking molten rock out of that volcano over there, and now I see some other Pirrackors gathering up ash and rocks.".

"If I didn't know better, I'd say they were collecting dust.", Falco said. "Diamond dust.".

"Let's lay low until they do anything truly sinister.", Fox said.

Without warning, Ratsputin snuck up behind the Rangers, and leaped into their location to attack them.

"Surprise Star Fox!!", he shouted.

The fight began with Ratsputin slashing at both Falco and Katt, but they blocked his attack and simultaneously kicked him in the stomach. Ratsputin backhanded Slippy in the face as he tried to strike him, then Fox gave Ratsputin an uppercut to the jaw. The Pirrackors joined the fight, but not for long. Krystal easily impaled 3 of them on her sword one after the other, and Fox knocked 6 of them away with upward slashes. Slippy skewered 2 at once and Falco did the same, each pinning their opponents to nearby trees before they exploded.

"You dare interfere with our operations?!", Ratsputin asked the Rangers. "Take this!!".

Ratsputin unleashed a powerful shock-wave into the ground, knocking the Rangers on their fronts into the dirt. Luckily Fox was able to get up and stab Ratsputin in the shoulder.

"We'll meet again!", he said, then teleported out of the area, leaving Fox's sword to fall to the ground.

"What do you think they were after here?", Katt asked.

"I don't know.", Slippy said. "Whatever it is, it's not a pretty picture.".

Chapter 20

After they had collected the amount of materials they needed, Ratsputin and his Pirrackors returned to Lord Zenn's fortress, and Needlenose got to work on the new monster. Upon mixing all the ingredients together, Needle had the monster contained in a beaker, and threw it down to Fortuna.

"Excellent!", Zenn exclaimed. "This time the Power Rangers will be up against something they can't even touch!! This galaxy will soon know my power!!".

As Zenn let out a maniacal laugh, the beaker reached it's destination, shattered upon impact, and continued to expand and fiz until it had grown into a horrifying creature made of lava and brimstone. The new monster spat out fire every time his mouth was open, flames burning on top of his head forming a mohawk, and flamethrower-like weapons for his hands and feet.

"Where's the fire you ask?", the monster said. "Why it's right down here! Spewing from the jaws of Magmitar! Now to burrow my way through this planet until I pierce it's core, and there will be nothing left of it but space dust!!".

Without hesitating Magmitar began melting his way through Fortuna's topsoil, beginning his tunnel that was meant to reach the center of the planet. If there was nobody to stop him, Magmitar would cause Fortuna to explode, and devastate it's neighboring planets in the Lylat System. Luckily, Star Fox was already on the scene, and began to confront their new enemy.

"Hold your horses, hothead!", Katt shouted, attacking the monster with her sword.

Unfortunately, the sword strike did nothing, and Magmitar exerted so much heat that he melted off it's blade.

"Maybe I can cool him off!", Falco said attacking the monster, but met the same disappointment as Katt.

"It's Ranger roasting time!!", Magmitar shouted, and knocked Katt and Falco back with his deadly fire breath. "Speaking of which, I see some good kindling for marshmallows!!".

With a laugh, Magmitar let out such a massive stream of fire that he set the surrounding jungle ablaze. Now the Rangers had more on their hands than just the threat of the planet exploding.

"It's not just me.", Slippy said. "It really is getting hot out here. We need to put this out, fast!".

"ROB, come in!", Fox said. "We need a fleet of fire prevention ships up on Fortuna right now! We've tried hitting the monster with our swords but they didn't do any damage.".

"Ay yi yi!", ROB said. "I'm sending the fire prevention crew Rangers, and why not use your Zords on him?! Physical attacks won't affect Magmitar, but lasers certainly will! Hurry Star Fox, he's already 100 feet underground and digging deeper!".

"Got it ROB!", Fox said. "Back to action!!".

Quickly Fox and Krystal boarded their Zords, flew to where Magmitar was digging, and fired upon him from above. Just as they hoped, Magmitar took some damage from their airborne attack.

"You can't hit what you can't see!", he shouted, and began to quickly burrow deeper and deeper towards his destination.

"We'll see about that!", Fox said, and followed after Magmitar while firing again. "You'll never reach the core! I'll turn you into sulfur before you even get within an arms reach of it!".

"You'll need all of us to do so!", Krystal said, following Fox and delivering several shots onto the monster.

"Time to crumble the charcoal!!", Falco said, while he too delivered several onto Magmitar.

"Wait, I've got an idea!", Slippy said, and fired 2 bombs right into the tunnel wall to his right. "Okay, now let's get back up to the surface!".

"Thanks Slippy!", Fox said, and lead the other Rangers back up to the surface as fast as they could go.

The explosion from Slippy's bombs caused the walls of the tunnel to collapse, and magma started rushing in onto Magmitar. There was so much of it that it not only buried him alive, but it also botched his plan to pierce the planet's core.

"No!!", he shouted. "You can't do this to me!! Molten rock can't kill me, I am molten rock!! This eruption will not die down!!".

With the rest of his words muffled, Magmitar was completely buried in volcanic rock, which quickly cooled down and solidified on the surface.

"They think that will take care of Magmitar?!", Zenn asked while watching from his throne. "He's able to withstand more than those Power Punks know he can!! Stitches, give my monster more power!!".

"At once sire!", Stitches said, getting another meteorite ready. "The universe has yet to know what it's like when this monster grows!".

Lobbing it down to Fortuna, Stitches caused the meteorite to smash as hit slammed into the ground. The energy inside seeped down into the remains of Magmitar's tunnel, and within only a few seconds Magmitar tore right out of the ground, this time 100 feet tall.

"Told you I was too hot to handle!", he shouted.

"We need Megazord power now!", the Rangers shouted.

As usual the Lunar Dagger formed the right arm, the Stinger Lance formed the left arm, the Diamond Mace formed the right leg, the Axe Cloud formed the left leg, and the King Lightning formed the rest of the body. The King Lightning detached it's main guns, allowing 2 thighs to extend out from under neath, then it's dorsal fin divided down the middle and formed the waist. As the 4 other Zords attached to the King Lightning in their appropriate docking points, the cockpit of the King Lightning formed the head, opening up on top to reveal the face.

"Megazord activated!!", Star Fox exclaimed.

Chapter 21

The Megazord began it's battle with Magmitar by delivering a strong punch to his shoulder. Magmitar responded by slamming both of his fists into the ground, causing lava to ooze under the Megazord's feet. The Megazord jumped back just in time to avoid being melted down, then counter attacked by lobbing a large boulder into the monster. Magmitar however wasn't effected by the attack, and blew fire all over the Megazord. Then Magmitar splashed lava onto the Megazord while it was stunned. It looked like the Star Fox Rangers had met their match, but then help from above came down to Fortuna.

"Hang in there!", Sabre said, coming down in Pyramidis. "Rangers, we must combine our powers! You need to dock the Megazord inside Pyramidis in order to unleash the Ultrazord.".

"The Ultrazord?", Fox asked. "What is it?".

"Something much more powerful than you've known so far.", Sabre replied. "With it we'll be unstoppable against Zenn. Hurry, there isn't much time!".

"Right!", the Rangers replied together. "Initiating Ultrazord!".

The Megazord suddenly levitated into the sky, and Pyramidis, transformed into it's battle mode, opened up a compartment in it's back. There was enough room inside for the Megazord to land standing up, the doors closing behind it. The Rangers were amazed at what Pyramidis was able to do to help, but Magmitar seemed less fazed.

"So you have a bigger toy now, big deal!", he said. "That just gives me more to melt down into scrap metal! Time for a barbecue!".

"Think again Magmitar.", Sabre replied. "This is the block of ice made specifically to cool down hotheads like you! Ultrazord beam, power up!!".

Suddenly the Megazord Blaster came down from the sky to attach itself onto the back of the Ultrazord. Then the Ultrazord used thrusters in it's feet to levitate into the air, angle itself into a lying down position, and opened fire on Magmitar. Two powerful plasma beams came streaming down from the sky at the monster, piercing his chest, causing him to fall to the ground and explode.

Just as the battle was now over, a strange small figure, who must have been sleeping in the nearby Fortunan jungle, woke up wondering where he was.

"What is this place?", he asked. "For that matter who am I? Why am I wearing this weird cloak? Maybe that big robot over there can help me?".

Before he could ask the Ultrazord for help it flew away back into space.

"Aww, now what do I do?", he asked himself, then noticed Farcus and Eugine landing in a ship nearby. "Maybe I can hitch a ride on that thing? It might take me to a place where I can get something to eat.".

Farcus and Eugine were busy loading supplies in their ship for the Youth Center, unable to notice their little stowaway climbing into the back and hiding in a crate.

Lord Zenn, who had been watching the battle from his fortress, was once again furious over another defeat at the hands of the Rangers.

"Idiots!!", he shouted, glowing red and kicking his Pirrackors around. "I'm surrounded by idiots!! Idiots who can't do anything right!! Where's my aspirin?!! I've got such a headache!!".

"It's just not fair!", Ratsputin complained. "The moment we come up with a deadlier than normal monster the Rangers get a bigger, badder Zord to smash him up with! If we had our own team of Rangers we'd be the ones with that kind of firepower!".

Suddenly Zenn stopped abusing his henchmen to converse with Ratsputin.

"Did you say we should get our own team of Power Rangers?", he asked.

"That's what I just said sire.", Ratsputin replied.

"Brilliant Ratsputin!!", Zenn said. "Brilliant!! That's the greatest idea I've ever had!! Why did I ever settle with just one Ranger on my side when I could've created a whole team of them? Needle!".

"Yes sire?", Needle asked.

"I need two things.", Zenn replied. "The first thing I need is my own team of Power Rangers to destroy the Star Fox Rangers with. The second thing I need is a new monster to keep them busy while my own Rangers are being constructed. Get to it!!".

"But what about ingredients?", Needle asked. "I'm very short on ingredients for making more monsters.".

"Use your imagination!!", Zenn shouted. "Put anything you can in the next monster!! Bubblegum, stale bread, dinosaur bones, I don't care!! Just get me that monster!!".

"At once sire!", Needle said sheepishly, and ran off to his laboratory to get to work.

Meanwhile, back on Corneria, Farcus and Eugine had just touched down back behind the Youth Center, and began unloading their cargo. They had no idea that their stowaway had climbed out of his crate as they set it down, and snuck into the Youth Center for something to eat.

"I wonder if they have any good pizzas here.", he thought to himself.

Star Fox and Sabre had just returned from space in time to continue the baby shower. More thoughtful gifts were presented to Amanda and the kids, while Eugine was topping up the refreshments and napkins.

"Hey who's that?", Farcus asked.

"Who are you talking about?", Eugine replied.

"That little guy sitting at the counter with a purple hood.", Farcus added. "What's with the goofy smile on his face?".

"I just noticed him too.", Krystal said. "He looks familiar, but I don't know where he came from.".

"Maybe he's just wearing that cloak instead of sunblock?", Falco added.

"But it's fairly cloudy outside.", Slippy replied.

"Maybe he's just a little unusual?", Katt said.

"Wait a minute.", Fox said, getting a closer look at the hooded character. "Is this...Oh no, it can't be!!".
