I'm curious, tell me more about this "derpy" concept.

Something about Katt hunting down Falco after he killed her brother is in there. From what I can remember he just sort of made a bunch of crap up and tried to put it into an epic motion picture.

Ah so he took too much artistic liberty with the concept? That's understandable, but if the idea isn't good then it shouldn't be put into a work.

I still think Joe Boyd Vigil could make some great music for a Starfox movie. Here's some examples.

Rathore's "film" was derpy because he released all the details on it including his treatment, storyboards, and concept art before being approved by Nintendo, was constantly mispelling the characters' names (despite his claims of having "vigorously studied" the series for a decade), decided Slippy learning capoeria was a totally sensible thing for a tiny frog mechanic to do and did not have the portfolio to back up his constant referral to himself as "Director" Irwin Rathore.

In other words the guy doesn't really have any idea what he's doing.

A Star Fox movie would be awesome but they'd really have to nail down the tone of the series, which is something the series itself struggles with. I might take a crack at it in the not-too-distant future.

The thing about adaptations is that the most vital part is preserving the intent of the original story, and not making it a SUPER COOL GRIMDARK pseudo-fanboy romp...which is often what happens.

I see, the guy was not only full of bad ideas but he was also full of himself, a bad combination (just ask anyone who's had to stand Uwe Boll's antics).

The Star Fox Uwe Boll sounds like a pretty appropriate descriptor, actually.
