Stranded...

[Four-eyed Vulpine]

I follow my new companion back down the tunnel. Then, I see a faint, red blinking light slowly approaching us. We stop, and I whisper about what I am seeing. "Hey, Rusty, any idea what that is?"

Somehow, I got turned around in the tunnel, for I don't venture around this area very often. When I reached the intersection again, I took the tunnel to my left. Soon there were voices behind me AND in front of me.

"I think we all might be in surprise in a few minutes..."

After walking down the tunnel a ways, flame in hand, the group I was approaching earlier then entered the same tunnel. Several minutes later, we all came to a point. This could be interesting. I guess I better introduce myself to the six.

"Hi, my name's Lavaro. And who are you people?"

((OOC: In case you're lost, Novar, Rusty, Ember, Leader, Sam, Jessica, and Lavaro are now in the same spot in the tunnels.))

(note: when the shadows (my chars.) have their cloaks on you can not see anypart of them except their cloaks and their glowing eyes *Leader:red, Sam: blue, Jessica: Pink* and right now both Sam and Jessica have their cloaks on)

"Shadows! revel yourselves!" both Sam and Jessica take off their hooded cloaks reveling Sam as a light green Avian with blue eyes (think green version of the leader) and Jessica to be a Sky Blue Cat with pink eyes. " I am Edgar Lombardi Leader of the Mercinary group the Shadows. This is but half our group. *pointing to his teamates* this is Sam and Jessica. Sam is our ace Pilot, and Jessica is our field medic and mechanical specialist. Although we may appear to be an ordinary mercinary team we have extrodinary powers, the likes of which, this young mistress here, *gestures to Ember* has already experienced. directing his speech towards Ember By the way m'lady if you wish I can have Jessica heal that wound of yours in no time at all"

*DF TUrns it off"

DF: "So you folks are the ones that picked up my partner. thanks. I was gettin worried."

Ember:"HEY, WHERE ON EARTH HAVE YOU BEEN!!???"

DF:"Yup, nice to see you too, Ember....."

DF:"I Suggest you get your leg fixed up, my dear"

Ember:"Yes, if you don't mind, that would be nice, since our oh so master orienteer done found me..."

DF:"See what I deal with *sigh*.....Hey have any of you seen another ejection seat lying around here. It has a becon on it as well, and I dont what a 1.4 Km Tiger class ex-battle crusier filled with hevy engains falling on our heads....."

"I'm on it" Jessica said and within a moment she was keeling next to Ember and began chant in a wisper "asorath, otheos, zenthos, asortath, otheos, zenthos,..." and as she did so Ember's wound glowed bright green, and when Jessica finished it was barely noticiable that there had been a wound at all.

"That's better isn't it" Jessica smiled at her handywork "Your fully healed but I wouldn't do too much extenive use of it as it might cause the wound to reopen"

Looking toward an exit, I see that the rain has stopped outside.

"Perhaps we should go outside where there is more light. I believe the storm has stopped."

The seven of us walk the remainder of the tunnel and emerge out of the northeastern base of the mountain. Our physical identities were clearly revealed with the increased light, but the most noticeable was the lizard being who called himself "Lavaro." All he wore was some black pants, and he was a couple of feet taller than all of us. He had quite the build, too. We all kind of stared at him.

A Red and black ship skimmed over the ocean a ship known as the Phoenix Blade

a fast and powerful ship a laser cannon and an engine on each of the four wing tips inside there were three

two bounty hunters and a prisoner

two bounty hunters clad in armor were in the cockpit

Jal do you think its a good idea going this close to the water?

Nova its to avoid radar the less people known we are here the better

a large fish like thing jumped out of the water neer them

but we dont want to hit one of those

the ship rose

And suddenly the ship started to lose hight

the ship turned toward the island but then the controls locked

and they crashed into the mountain

DF:"Woah, you and my brother would comiserate on being tall, but, sheesh!"

Ember:"Hmmmmmm....Yep, he's tall alreght.....woah..."

DF: "what the-"

He saw a ship streak out of the sky and smash head on into the mountain.

DF:"Hey, yall! at least we aint the only ones having a bad day..."

Jal awoke still strapped into the pilots seat he looked around the Phoenix Blade front end was smashed in Nova was beside him starting to wake up

Jal upstrapped himself from the seat and tried to get up stabbing pain went thru his left leg he looked down and saw that his leg had a jagged piece of metal thru it and his armor

"Dammit"

He tried to take it out of his leg but just touching it sent pain thru his leg

He tried again grabbing it and pulled the bloody piece of metal came free

Leg feeling like it was on fire Jal somehow somehow refrained from screaming

By this time Nova was helping bandage Jal's leg

"the bounty's dead his cell was crushed" Nova pointed out

"There go's our money"

A light was flashing on Jal's HUD he pressed a button and it showed that there were others on this island

"you get that?"

"yah"

Jal got up staggered to the door and got out with Nova's help

"let's see who thay are" Jal said and under his helmet he smiled

"Ok, this is getting weird. Eight crashes in just a few hours."

I shook my head as I walked toward the wreck, about a quarter of a mile away.

DF: "This place dose feel creepy, Novar, but that just dosn't make sense"

Ember: "Aggreed, lets look at the facts, our fighter suffer electrical and engain faulrs just before it crashed....did anyone else have the same issue?"

DF:"What is even stranger is the fact our personal electronics and energy weapons work"

Ember:"Hmmmmm, what about the Phoenix?"

DF:"I wouldn't risk it, the systems have quadruple redudancy, but if it crashes, we have what'll amout to a small astriod landing on our heads, I'm going to go to Ember's E-seat and disable the distress becon, just to be safe"

Ember:"ThanHOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET OFF THIS ROCK!"

DF:"I don't know."

Edgar: (to DF and Ember) We had the same problems our ships systems pretty much shut down except for the flight control and comms systems. Oh and if you are wondering about how we're going to be leaving, Jessica should be able to get our ships back up and running within a few months, which is fast considering that we don't exactly have the right equipment here to do full repairs. I don't know how we are going to fit all of us into three fighters though.

Sam: (butting in) why not just use chaos control?

Jessica: (overhearing the conversation ) Are you kidding!?!?!?!?!? You know as much as I do that our powers have limits. Not only would it be too physicaly draining but It's extremly risky. The further we travel the more likely it is for us to miss our target. Our best chance is to hold out here, until I can fix the ships.

Sam: there's just one problem

Jessica: oh yeah what's that???

Sam: We may have enough rations for the three of us to live three months but what about everyone else.

Edgar: Well what about you guys what rations do you have?

"hmmm an easy target" Nova thought,

as she look thru her sniper rifles scope at the red foxs head.

Edgar: what is it Sam

Sam: no time chaos control! *dissapears in a green flash and re-appears next to FEV in another green flash* let's go *grabs FEV* Chaos Control *teleports them back to the others and falls to the ground*

Edgar: what have I told you about using your chaos powers in such quick succession.

Sam: sorry master, but the one who crashed into that mountain was going to shoot him

Edgar: how did you know

Sam: *does anime fall* (with head on ground) helloooooooooo I'm a telepath, I can read other's thoughts can't you remember ughhhhhhh *faints*

Edgar: Jessica help him

Jessica: oh do I have too *get's glared at* oh all right *goes over to sam and begins to heal him*

Nova:"What the?"

Jal:"What?"

Nova:"the one the was coming to our ship, something telaported grabed him and telaported away,"

Jal:"stay low and shield your mind"

Nova looked back at the Phoenix Blade, its lower left and right wings were sheard off the cockpit was crushed in and Jal said it wont be suitable for space flight until it was taken to a spaceport,

but it can be fixed so it will fly in atmosphere again.

Nova looked back at the others thru her sniper rifle

Jal: Damm Jal looked down at his leg,

it was still bleeding but the wound will be healed in a few days.

(OCC Jal and Nova have fast healing)

DF:"I have 12 days worth in my backpack, and 12 more in the other seat, plus afew medical supplies."

DF:"I'm goanna go check out the other ejection seat*

*Drops his pack and runs*

"I've got some supplies in my ship. Thank goodness it's still intact."

I cut back through the mountain to reach my ship, using the backlight of my PDA to see.

There is the smell of something burning. Seconds later, steam rises from the distant beach. A two-foot wide lava flow seeps from the mountain's base and flows into the sea. It is about twenty feet to our side.

"Well, it looks like volcanic activity is increasing again." I point to the stream of glowing lava and walk to it. Figuring that the others have never seen a dragonoid before, I reach into the lava and grab a handful, trying to surprise them.

"Hmm, it's not too hot, just about 3,500 degrees."

[Master Jal]

Nova was watching the others when the red dragonoid walked up to the lava and picked up a handfull of it

Nova: "Odd was he one of the ones that crashed here.....no no he isint"

Jal: hmmm a dragonoid those are rare they are fireproof, longlived, have wings-

Nova: i can see that.

Jal: -and can manipulate fire,

they are also very hard to kill.

Nova: Jal how much food do we have?

Jal: about one maybe two months worth

not enough but im sure we can find other food

(OOC: Just for fairness sake, masking your thoughts takes a lot of concentration, so you can't be constantly masking your thoughts if you are also "speaking" telepathically, fighting, training, using abilities/powers, or anything else that requires a good bit of concentration. Also anyone who has enough disciplne can mask their thoughts, but those who are reckless, or have not trained enough to become that disciplined cannot.)

Edgar: Jessica follow Dark Fox, but don't let him see you unless he needs help. Sam you follow Novar be stelathy too. I'll stay here and watch over the others I've got a feeling our newest visitors aren't too friendly watch yourselves.

The other two both nod, put on their cloaks and dash silently away.

Edgar: *seeing Lavaro pick up the lava* So he's a dragonoid, I haven't seen one since the incident

"They seem to be worried about food...hmm..." I drop the lava back into the stream and look up at the trees. Different colors of fruit hang from the tree tops. "Oh, that's right, this place has plenty of food!"

Here comes the fun part. "Hey, you guys might want to watch your heads." I then walk up to a tree and shake it. Red fruit falls all over the place. Some other fruit hit by the shaking tree falls out of other trees, and they are different colors. Meh, I only like the red ones, myself.

I grab one off the ground and take a bite. Mmm, that hits the spot.

DF walked for an hour untill he was near the other ejection seat, which had fallen, curiously, in a tree.

DF:"Okay, now that isn't fair!"

DF Unshoudered his wearon,and climebd up the tree, balancing himself so he could tip it over. It came down with a mighty crash. DF Got out of the tree and inspected the seat, noticing that the beacon was still going.

he unhooked it, and changed the transmittion to tell his crusier to stay away from the planet, but settle in orbit around the moon. he took the extra rifle, Ember's, their Katanas, and the back pack with food. he also grabbed the life raft and the seats thrusters, which had not deplyoed.

DF: "This is goanna be a long walk......"

he picked up his own gun and left for the mountain.

Jessica comes out of hiding. " You want a little help, I've got a way to get you back up the mountain pronto, but you've got to do me a favor..." Jessica said with a mischevious glint in her eye and an even more evil grin on her face.

Zero was asleep at the top of the mountain, he had formed an alchemic cave in which he has had for a home.

DF:"As long as it dosn't involve dying, I'm fine with it, what's your plan?"

Jessica: Well Sam, you know the green avian, well I've known that he's liked me for six months and I've been trying to get him to come out and say it. I want you to act like you're going out with me to get him jealous. So... is it a deal?

meanwhile...

Edgar watches Lavaro shaking the trees and picks up some red fruit. "Hmmm... *takes a bite* your right this stuff is good"
