Conall Drest
My dream car is one thats quite high tech, runs of of hydrogen power. The inside gauges and whatnot would be illuminated by red LEDs and the inside would look quite futuristic with black and synthetic interior. I'd have a built in GPS system and a place to place a laptop and whatnot.
El Zorro de la Estrella
Red 98 Viper. Slap a deck in there and it's good to go! No, I don't know why I like it so much, I just always have!

Asper Sarnoff
Need to do a list... four will do for now.4. 1969 Chevrolet Corvette ZL-1Only two were ever built of this monster. What made it stand out among all the other things that made the third generation of the Corvette so great, was the addition of an all-aluminum 427 race-derived engine that propelled the beast to 12.10 in the quarter mile. A record which for many years would remain utterly uncontested among production cars.3. 2006 Hummer H1 AlphaUtterly uncompromising and unique in what was its field. Also the vehicle that dragged me into the world of cars, and for that, I'm ever grateful.2. 1971 Plymouth Barracuda HEMI 'CudaThe last, thunderous roar of the muscle car era. Checked all the boxes. Muscular appearance, fantastic engine. Snorting, rearing and thundering down the street like a wild rhino on 'roids.1. Lamborghini Miura SVLooks to die for and greatest engine note ever to be. Revolutionary for its time and the true predecessor of all modern supercars.

DZComposer
In seriousness, my dream car hasn't been developed yet. I want a self-sufficient electric car that doesn't burn fossil fuels. Being fast is a plus, too.The Chevy Volt is a somewhat self-sufficient electric car, but it is by using a gasoline-powered generator and you still need to plug it into an external power source. Showtime 1-1
Ford GT. A proper Blue-collar supercar. And I LOVE that supercharged V8!EDIT: that, or the Ferrari F-40. Minimalist supercar at it's finest, with yet another epic V8, the Ferrari 2.9 twin-turbo.

DZComposer
Look up perpetual motion.I'm not talking about perpetual motion. Perpetual Motion is a fool's errand.I'm talking about Solar power cells or hydrogen fuel cells, hyper-efficient Solar Stirling engines, and things of that nature. You know, things that actually have a chance to work.

For the satelite we will need a space lift.
DZComposer
Using a Stirling Engine to harness Solar Thermal energy has some real promise. Check this out:z0_nuvPKIi8We have the technology to focus the sun to melt literally any material on Earth ("There is no known material that can withstand that"). Asper Sarnoff
The best car for you guys is the Peel P50 Fun fact. Some investors are considering reviving the brand. Be warned that if anyone would fancy one, it'll probably have to be registred in the same class as a quadbike due to increasingly high safety regulations.1965 Super Sport 454 Chevy "Chavelle" That picture depicts a 1970 Chevelle. The 454 c.i. engine wasn't an option either till that year.

Check this out:z0_nuvPKIi8We have the technology to focus the sun to melt literally any material on Earth ("There is no known material that can withstand that").The problem with that, and indeed any solar device, is the relience on the sun. In Britian where most of our days are overcast, solar isn't realistic, and while impressive, it raises the question of why we aren't using that machine already. There is a similar trick where you use a pizza box and some tin foil to make a solar powered mini camping oven. It's impressive to see a pizza box cook a pizza in a lab, but again, in practice it's completly usless.
Asper Sarnoff
A wiesmann MF3/MF30, old style looks with modern engeneering.By the way. Does this statement match with the Tradition vs Progression topic you kicked off in the Counter Point area? After all, from a purely logical viewpoint, it's not an ideal design. Must be said though. If there's one point where tradition definatively have its upsides. It's in car design.

It's in car design.Maybe, but imo all modern cars look to similar. As I said, either ford focus or nissan micra. Old cars often got their look from utility. Same with trucks. Total utility isn't needed when it comes to how cars look imo.

DZComposer
The De loreonthat's so coolA challenger approaches:The Bricklin had Electric gull wing doors. And it was around before the DeLorean. Some say DeLorean ripped-off the Bricklin (an easy claim to make, these cars do look similar despite being 10 years apart and different manufacturers). It is worth noting the Bricklin has front-engine, and the DeLorean had rear-engine.Too bad they were junk. It's a miracle any survived without falling apart.
