Vulvokunvrii
Hello again SF-O! It's me Lucario, and i was hopping we could talk. I know there are those of you who love all thing Military themed (im one of them), so i ask you this:"If you could make a Custom Tank, what would it be etc. I saw an old topic started by a LT. on this site named tyler, and thoguth that was a pretty cool idea.So i decided to make my own version of his topic. Your tank can be StarFox related.....whatever you want. Just dont go overboard go "God mode" all that Sour Cream okay? Please enjoy yourselves! isnt that why the internet was build-well one of the reasons? (and dont saw for porn becasue we've all heard that one before)Same Rules apply like backi n his topic:basic things_____________________________________________________________Name:(it's name obviously)armament:(weapons)description:(add anything else you want to)_____________________________________________________________STATSspeed: /10 or /5sheilds: /10 or /5 (if any)streangth: /10 or /5hull: /10 or /5armament: /10 or /5size:(1 being small 10 being huge) /10I've got a tank already in my mind, but ill post it later after you Ladies/Gentlemen have had your fun; enjoy! ^_^
Matrilwood
_____________________________________________________________Name: Blood-Wolfarmament: 3 automatic 30-Cal' cannons, each cannon can have explosive ammo or napalm ammo.description:Cannons are placed inside the body, rather than on the top and are fixed to allow automation. Hull is slanted equally on all sides to give 360-protection, although all cannons face the front. Retractable plates cover the tracks and fix it to the ground to reduce the effects of kick-back and prevent damage to tracks, however the tank cannot move when these tracks are down. Cannons fire in a rhythmic cycle, causing maximum damage with minimum kick-back.Used to take down buildings, other tanks and wreak general havoc. All cannons are fitted with napalm rounds during exterminations._____________________________________________________________STATSspeed: 3/10shields: 5/10 counter plasma explosives (Protection from fire/plasma based weapons)strength: 10/10hull: 7/10 Conearmament: 10/10 30Cal' x 3size: 7/10What about tanky things like maneuverability, turning speed, range, weight? I'm not even sure what strength has to do with.

Matrilwood
It looks like a pyramid, It's slanted on all sides. (Slanted armor means some of the force of enemy fire is reflected off in another direction, i.e. the armor takes only a portion of the force)
Asper Sarnoff
Going to dig up my old concept. Simply due to that it's an idea that looks just as good, if not even better, after all the things I've recently learned about tanks. As so happens, I've had an idea for a Venomian light recon/attack tank, which I'm going to post now.Name: RaptorArmament: Since it utilize modular weapon systems, it doesn't have any fixed arnaments. What it have instead are various coupling scattered around its hull, on which a mutlitude of various weapon systems can be attached to adapt the Raptor to fill several roles. Examples: Anti-tank missile pods, anti-air missile pods, automated Gatling guns, cargo compartments, 40 mm automated autocannon, even small tactical nuclear missiles. The list is almost endless.Crew: 1Description: The first generations of this revolutionary tank entered service in the Venomian army 11 years before the Lylat wars. It's extremely low profile and small size, together with its outrageus speed makes the Raptor a difficult opponent to hit. The single crewman lies flat on his belle inside a small, but tough shell, with a 800 hp twinturbo diesel engine behind him powering two large tracks on either side. The suspension system gives it the ability to drive at huge speeds even over rough terrain, or traverse obstacles that would be impassable for many other tanks. While it can be used both for transporting gear or give artillery support, where this tank truly shines is when hunting in "packs" of three on unobstructed planes. Here, it can easily outmanouver larger and slower tanks. Also, due to it's simple construction and small size, it is really as cheap as chips._____________________________________________________________STATSspeed: 10/10 (Can travel at speed over 100 mph)shields: 0/10 (None, to save weight)strength: 4/10 (Got enough power and lots of traction, but it's light weigt doesn't help when towing objects.)hull: 6/10 (Due to the heavy angle of the armor, most shots will simple be deflected of it instead of penetrating it.) armament: 0-10/10 (Varies based on what modular system it uses at the moment.)size: 2/10 (Very smal)I don't have any illustrations of it. Instead, I'll give you one better. This tank is based on a real vehicle. While I've taken the basic idea further, the concept is to be credited to Howe and Howe techologies, and their "Ripsaw". Matrilwood
BTW modern tanks have shields, I know of 3 types, one I'm not sure how it works but it prevents the hull from being pierced, another is fitting explosives on a tank to repel warhead plasma (Well it works), and the last is multi-plate where the outer hull is damaged while the inner hull remains in-tact.Name: White Dragoonarmament: 4 machine guns, 30Cal cannon turretdescription: The White Dragoon is lightly armed but designed to be fast and be able to sustain heavy fire, as well as to be able to carry good sized cargo. For a light tank it is quite large, most of this is a cargo bay which may include any supplies needed at the front. While an APC has much greater speed and cargo capacity, the White Dragoon is capable of defending itself if it encounters an enemy. It is equipped with anti-pierce shields, to protect volatile cargo which could destroy the White Dragoon if damaged.Class: LightFunction: Armed supply carrier. Carries much needed supplies into hostile territory.STATSspeed:7/10sheilds: 8/10 (Anti-Pierce Shielding, prevents armor piercing rounds from passing through the hull)streangth: 3/10hull: 6/10armament: 2/10size: 8/
Vulvokunvrii
^ i think you are trying to describe what we call "Reactive Armor"Reactive armor is still used today on modern tanks; Picture the tank, then picture lots of plates all over certain areas of the tank. If the vehicle is hit in an area, the plates will burn and or fall off, leving most of the intended area undernieth intact....just try not to be hit in the same place twice ^_^
Matrilwood
Actually what happens is when a war-head hits the tank, it explodes blasting super-heated plasma everywhere, the packets of explosives on the tank heat up, explode and the explosion pushes the plasma away. Why because heat is the real killer of tanks, not explosions. Heat can pass strait through metal. There is one particularly nasty cannon-ammo. It has very low penetration, in fact it won't even do much to a concrete test slab. But on the inside it becomes super heated, and guess who's on the other side of the hull! The tank remains in tact but the crew melts. I've seen one pretty gory image of a guy's face fused to the wall, or at least what was left of him. *shivers*I'm not sure how it works but I think the bullet has an armor piercing round inside it. That armor piercing round has a small amount of plasma inside it, but enough to increase internal temperature ABOVE the boiling point of people.
