Guest Mr. Mario
We all know about Zero Wing's infamous ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US, it started Engrish...but there is something else other than Engrish, when you get games with character lines that make you want to go "WTF am I listening to?" or turn off your volume, you should get something called bad voice acting. There are quite some games in the 1990's to early 2000's that included very bad voice acting. What game do you think had bad voice acting but for some time, it seemed to be quite hilarious? (Provide some quotes or videos containing that line.)My vote goes to House of the Dead 2, not only is the voice acting bad but, it seemed to be quite funny. Vy'drach
Not to get on Redeemer's bad-side, but the original Silent Hill. Characters seemed to have no urgency in their voice, and their lines were terribly out of sync.Watch from 7:20 to 10:35 here to get what I mean. DoctorAllosaurus
The first Resident Evil. Barry Burton alone delivers some of the funniest dialogue you'll ever hear in a video game.

What happened to Wesker and Jill?"I lol'd at the reversed name order. Good thing REmake fixed all that bad voice acting.
Sabre
Zero Wing didn't have voices, and certainly didn't start engrish. For the people who voted resident evil, silent hill, ect. You really should try some real bad games. Blue Stinger for example. How about some Overblood?

I've never played "Blue Stinger," (nor have I heard of it) so...yeah.

SlyJedi
How about MegaMan X4. I absolutely love the game, great graphics, great story, great music, the best of the PlayStation MegaMan X games. But perhaps the WORST VOICE ACTING I HAVE EVER HEARD ON A GOOD GAME!!!!!!! :x I mean look at what Capcom's English dubbers in 1997 did to Zero. :x :x They made him sound like 13 or 14 year old nerd:  I also REALLY REALLY REALLY HATE what the English dubbers in 1997 did to my favorite MegaMan character MegaMan X. :x :x They made him into a little girl sounding brat:  :facepalm:This is perhaps my favorite instance where the Japanese version is INFINITELY SUPERIOR to the crappy English dub. Look at the Japanese dubs of the above scenes and you will see a jarring difference, and how badly Capcom messed up back in 1997. Capcom would finally get the voices right in 2004 with MegaMan X8 and MegaMan X Command Mission. Thank goodness for Mark Gatha as Megaman X and Lucas Gilbertson as Zero. :D B.T.W. Just In case you wonder who does who in the much better Japanese dub of these scenes:MegaMan X-Kentaro Ito (Renji Abarai from Bleach)Zero-Ryotaro Okiayu (Byakuya Kuchiki, also from Bleach)Iris-Yuko Mizutani (Minnie Mouse in the Kingdom Hearts games)

WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRR!!!Otacon!! ____I'd have to go with Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. The lines are corny, cheesy, and have too much expression in the wrong places. They are also looped over and over because there weren't many lines to begin with
Fluxy
SlyJedi... I am so glad you reminded me of those. Lol. I swear... Megaman X4 had HORRID voice acting. Lol

SlyJedi
SlyJedi... I am so glad you reminded me of those. Lol. I swear... MegaMan X4 had HORRID voice acting. Lol.I know Nick1349. Capcom basically mucked up what could have been a great dub. X sounds like a girly little brat, because he IS voiced by a woman here, UGH!!! :x Zero sounds like he just recently hit puberty. General sounds like he is 20, when he should sound middle aged. Iris has the worst British accent I have ever heard in a video game. Colonel's Australian accent is equally as cringe inducing. Sigma and Double both sound like terrible wannabe punk bikers IMHO. One of the main reasons for this is that Capcom basically reused much the same cast from MegaMan 8 which came out in the same year (1997). And that too, had really crappy voice acting. I mean who can forget Dr. Thomas Light, or Thomas Fudd's (as someone on YouTube so well put it) pathetic performance most of all. I mean he says "Dogtah Wowy." Once again the Japanese version blows it away.Back to the subject at hand, MegaMan X4 is hands down, the worst English dub I have ever heard, which is sad, because I really love that game. Whenever I want to watch the cutscenes I watch the Japanese version on Youtube. The voices are so much better there. Especially X, who is actually voiced by a man there, thank you Kentaro Ito (he is my favorite Jap voice of X). :D Ryotaro Okaiyu also gives his best performance as Zero in X4.
CrypticQuery
"Dogtah Wowy." I always thought it sounded more like, "DOCTAH WAAHWEE!"
Robert Monroe
Whoa guy, MMX4 had awful acting, we get it, enough emotespam.YOY2vCv3f3cAnd it was even worse in Megaman 8. Slightly.
