Resident Falco aka Dead Starfox Rising 3 (Rated M)

INTRODUCTION

A note from the author: Don't you wish that Falco had much more of a role than anyone else in the Dead Starfox Rising saga? I bet you do. While Fox and Kursed are doing their investigations on Sangriabison's facility, Falco escaped from Corneria city and quitted his job as a DHS agent and later became a special agent who would be following under General Pepper's orders. Although Falco is new to the job, he has quite the experience of becoming a agent of any kind. 1 year after the 2nd Cornerian outbreak and 1 week after becoming a special agent has passed and now he is assigned to rescue someone special from a group...which will be revealed later.

NOTICE: The villigers that Falco will encounter are going to speak in only Saurian language. I recommand you get yourself Mr. Krystal's Saurian Translater to translate their speech.

This fan-fic is rated M for Mature. (Gosh...are ALL of my fan-fics going to be mature rated?  )

My time is not limited as it used to be but you'll still have to wait for the new chapters to be finished.

Chapter 1

*Music plays*

*In the words of Falco*

The date was September 24th...

I'll never forget it, it was the time a outbreak has started because of a zombie parasite that spreaded all over Corneria city. Soon when December 21st came, some time after the first outbreak, the news was out to the Lylat System revealing that it was a murder of a secret experiment of a drug conducted by the pharmaceutical enterprise, Sangriabison. They were off to kill many people only for their own money and to drive up their stocks. Little did we know that the enterprise we trusted was the one who was responsible for the outbreak. Without taking any chances, General Pepper of the Cornerian Army ordered a contingency plan - to firebomb and sterilize Corneria city. Only a very few survivors barely escaped Corneria...

With the whole affair gone public and knowing the truth of Krystal who was framed for the outbreak, the CDF issued a suspension of business degree to Sangriabison. Soon, their stocks began to crash and for all intents and purposes...Sangriabison was finished.

1 year and 1 week have passed since the Corneria incident has passed...

I recieved some special training via a secret organization working under the direct control of General Pepper. I was to assume responsibilty on protecting his family and the Starfox team.

"Why am I the one who always gets the short end of the stick?" The driver asked to the front seat passenger. I was sitting in the back row behind the driver and the passenger. They are both my instructors that taught me about my job at the same secret organization that was under Pepepr's control.

"Yo, who are you really? Come on and tell us birdy." The passenger said to me. "You are a long way from home cowboy.  You have my sympathies."

"I guess that's a locals way of breaking the ice. Anyway, you know what this is all about. My assignment is to search for Marcus McCloud." I said, groaning in boredom.

"What?! All by yourself?" The driver exclaimed and laughed.

"Look, I'm sure you guys didn't just tag along so we could sing "Stars At The Midnight Range" together at some bonfire. Then again, maybe you did." I said.

"Ahh you crazy bird. It is a direct order from Pepper himself. I'm telling you it's not such a big thing." The passenger said.

"Well I'm counting on you guys." I said and stared out the window of our car. I was heading off to a certain village that was far away from what used to be a casino resort or in better terms, a adult playground. It was right before I was to take on my duties of protecting Pepper and the Starfox crew when Marcus was abducted. That's the ultimate reason I'm in this lonely, rural part of Lylat.  According to our intelligence, there's reliable information of Marcus and his unknown whereabouts.  Apparently he is being witheld by some unidentified group of people...Who would have thought my first job would be a rescue mission?

For some reason while I was not at the destination, the car stopped and the passenger got out to take a piss behind a bush. Some mysertious sounds were made while he was still using the 'bathroom', none of us would be able to identify what it was.

"Ah, it's freezing...so cold all of a sudden. Ah, must be my imagination." The passenger said to himself, walking back into the car and closing the door, he said to the driver "Sorry it took so long." The car began going forward again...I was getting closer and closer to the destination...until I was there when we crossed a bridge.

The driver parked the car near the edge of a cliff and said "Just up ahead is the village."

"I'll go and have a look around." I said as I unbuckled myself.

"Well we'll stay and watch the car, we don't want to get any parking tickets..." The passenger said and handed me my handgun, plus some ammo for it and a first aid spray.

"Yeah...parking tickets." I said.

"Good luck." The driver said in a mocking tone.

As I opened the car door and successfully got out, I said to myself "Geez...who are these idiots?"

"Uhh...did you say something?" The driver asked while rolling down his window.

I didn't respond to him at all as I heard my personal phone rang, I picked it up and heard someone talk over it

"Falco, I hope you can hear me." A feminiane voice said, it was Krystal. "You remember me don't you, I'm Krystal McCloud, I'm going to be your support on this mission."

"Loud and clear. Somehow I thought you'd be a little older. So the subject name is Marcus McCloud right?" I asked.

"That is correct. He is also my son so I know I can't really ask you this but...please behave yourself when you're near him, ok?" Krystal said.

"Whatever, Krystal. Now whoever this group is, they sure picked the wrong boy to kidnap." I said, not making any promises.

"I'll try to find more information on them on my end as well." She said.

"Good, I'll talk to you later. Falco out." I said and ended transmission.

I got out my gun and walked over to a nearby house that looked like it was burnt down, surrounding the house was a lot of trees that were dying...all with no leafs and their branches falling down. As I opened the door in the house, I heard someone cough inside while starting some sort of fire...maybe they know about Marcus?

Walking closer to see who it was, it was a wolf dressed in some fancy clothing using a shovel to fix the logs and make the fire in the fireplace bigger and warmer.

"Excuse me...sir?" I asked to get attention...no response.

I got closer to get the wolf's attention, this time he finally looked at me...with a expression I didn't really like.

"I was wondering if you might have seen a boy like this..." I said and handed a photo of Marcus to the wolf, he didn't look at it but instead, said to me in some language other than English

"Nxuk kxo xocc uho 0ei teadw xoho? Wok eik ev xoho, den!!!"

"Well, sorry to bother you." I said and began to walk away from the wolf. Just then he picked up from the piles of logs a shiny red ax and attempted to swing it at me, I dodged the attack and pointed my gun at the wolf.

"Freeze!!" I shouted and watched the wolf get closer to me. "I said freeze!!!" I shouted again.

Chapter 2

The wolf who didn't listen to a single command I shouted out walked closer to me, holding his fire ax with the right hand. As the wolf got too close to me, he tried to swing the ax down to kill me but I quickly fired my gun at the wolf to make sure he wouldn't kill me...I know he isn't the only one who is in Corneria but, something seemed to ponder my mind...what I just killed was not a zombie, I mean zombies don't talk, they don't use weapons and they don't kill people, they eat them alive.

As I looked out a window, there was a car that rammed the car that I was in earlier down to a cliff near the bridge where we drove off of, realizing that I was not able to escape and with the activity of the people in Corneria rising, I said to myself

"Shit."

Then my phone rang just in some time, I picked it up and waited to find out who was...probably Krystal.

"Is everything OK?" A female voice said, it was Krystal.

"Well...there was a hostile local. I had no choice but to neutralize him." I said and then asked. "Now tell me...how do you know what's a zombie and what's not? I don't think I killed a zombie."

"Did it have any tattered clothing on?" Krystal asked.

"No it didn't. It was dressed somewhat fancy." I said.

"Did it talk? I don't mean just moans, I mean any language it spoke." She asked again.

"Well...it talked but from what I heard, it sounded like Saurian language than English." I said.

"OK...did it use a weapon to try to kill you or was it unarmed?" She asked once more.

"It had a ax of some kind." I said.

"Well...judging by what you said to me...you didn't kill a zombie. I think you killed what appears to be mutants, not the mutants you'd find in comic-books." Krystal explained to me.

"Thanks. Well, there are still others surrounding Corneria." I said as I heard banging noises from the front door I entered from.

"Get out of wherever you are and head towards the village. Take whatever measures necessary to save my son." Krystal said to me before she hung up so I could continue my misson.

"Ok..." I said with a sigh as I putted the phone away and climbed out of a window to sneak past the angry people who were pounding on the front door to get inside. None of them seemed to notice me since they were a little too busy trying to get inside that house I was in...

I walked to a pathway that a signpost with a skull head on top of it pointed to, some of the words were inscribed in Saurian but I didn't have the time to stop and translate what it said. Passing by a few shacks and another bridge, I saw a big gate that may let me into the village. I pushed it open since it didn't need a key to be unlocked and saw the pathway continued to go on further, leading me to the village.

I took out my binoculars and hid behind a tree to check out the village before one of the people spot me...in the binoculars, I saw someone that looked like one of my instructors from Pepper's secret organization who was stabbed and burning from some pile of fire. How could anyone do that? If I only I noticed sooner...

I putted away the binoculars and walked to the village, as I made a single step in the territory, a gray-furred she-wolf dressed in a bra and loincloth with some tattoos on her arms, thighs and backside spotted me and shouted out in Saurian, pointing her finger at me

"Wok xam! Mubo jiho xo teojd'k wok unu0!!"

'What a nice welcome for my first time here...' I thought as I watched everyone who was busy with putting the chickens away turn to me and grab their weapons like knives to hunt me.

I quickly ran into a nearby house and slamed the door shut, putting a wooden desk in front of it to act as a barricade. Everyone came together near the house I was in and talked to each other on how to get me out, one of them said

"Wok kxo sxuadjun necv, Mr. Erbas."

"Whouk atou!" Another wolf said.

'Who are these people?!' I shouted in my thoughts as I looked through a small gap on a wall. As a moment passed, a wolf who had a mask of some tribe on it's head appeared out of nowhere, starting up it's chainsaw weapon. If I didn't act fast, I could get myself sliced to death.

'Great, a chainsaw.' I groaned in my thoughts as I saw a chainsaw slice right through the wooden door and the desk behind me, revelaing that same wolf with amask of maybe a certain tribe.

The wolf carrying the chainsaw saw me and walked to me quick, preparing to decapitate me as he raised the chainsaw and shouted something. Before the edge of the chainsaw could even touch my neck, I heard a bell ring from a distance. All of a sudden, the chainsaw wolf dropped it's weapon quickly and escaped out of the house I used for hiding. Everyone else too dropped their weapons and gasped as they heard the bell ring from the distance, they then began to walk into a building that might have looked like a church of some kind, everyone kept repeating something as they entered the building

"Lord Andross."

After the bell ringing stopped, I got out of the house and wondered where everyone has gone off to...

"Where did everyone go to? Bingo?" I asked myself as I stood and looked at my dead instructor who was now burnt into ashes...

Chapter 3

Seeing the dead body of my instructor, I decided to call Krystal to alert her about confirming the dead instructor who was now ashes from the fire.

"Krystal, I have some bad news... I have confirmed the body of one of my instructors. I think something has happened to the people here..." I said.

"Falco, you have to get out of the village. Look for a tower and follow the trail near it. You should be able to find something to get wherever you need to go." Krystal said to me over the phone.

"Understood." I said and hung up on the phone. Then I picked up a box of some ammo for my weapon in case I either run out or need to reload and putted it away into one of my special pockets which could store up to a lot of things...beats carrying a suitcase all day with your items inside.

I walked to the trail the was straight ahead of me, then I took a left as the trail continued to keep going...leading me to another gate which I had to push open, talk about lack of security.

As I opened the gate, I saw packs of dynamite attached to what appeared to be some rope which was wrapped around some trees. As soon as someone touched the rope, the dynamite would go off and kill the victim. I carefully ducked underneath the rope so I wouldn't get killed in the explosion and kept moving to the trail...which took me down a hill.

Waiting a moment, the 4 wolfs who were standing on a cliff were pushing a big boudler to squash me down. The rock came down from the cliff and I suddenly had to make a run for it...it was like reacting a scene from a famous movie...only I didn't steal any treasure or anything vaulable. As I kept running for my life, a tunnel was in front of me which made me lucky...that was if I ran away fast enough...which I barely did as I watched the boudler break apart.

Stopping to catch my breath, I walked forward in the tunnel to see where it would lead me to...when I got out of it, there was a house that was acompanied by some destoryed houses and as usual, trees.

Walking to the front door of the house that didn't seem to be destroyed much, I heard some shouting from a distance...it was more people who happened to found me and wanted to kill me...the same people I fought eariler...they can't be that many people at all.

Busting the door open with my right foot, I quickly got inside and didn't bother making a barricade as I kept running away from the people who are trying to kill me. I ran from the kitchin to the living room, ducking underneath some ropes that were taped on the wall along with the dynamite...is that supposed to be their kind of security protection? Sounds bad if you ask me.

Before I could make anymore sudden moves, some banging sounds were made in a dresser that stood near a window. I decided to check the dresser out and find out what is was...pausing for a moment with the gun in my left hand and the dresser's handle with my right hand, I opened the dresser and saw a orange-furred fox who was tied up and had some tape covered on his mouth...preventing him to speak correctly. The fox was NOT Fox McCloud, the fox seemed to have dressed differently and sound different than Fox himself.

As the fox kept mumbling with the tape, I decided to pull the tape from his mouth so he could finally speak...he started with a groan and said

"A little rough, don't you think?"

Then I began to untie the ropes that were wrapped on his hands...then I noticed he seemed to have a little bit of similarity to Krystal's tattoos that were on him...

"You're...not one of the mutants?" The fox asked me.

I paused for a moment and said "...No. How about you?"

As I completely removed the rope, the fox stood up and said as if he didn't want to answer me "Ok, I have only 1 very important question...do you have a smoke?"

"Got gum." I said and looked to see the same people that I encountered eariler came into the room with me and the fox, each of them had their weapons...but they didn't attack because someone was coming.

That someone appeared to be what seemed to be Andrew Oikonny, only he has some robotic material inside of him...or not.

"Great...if ain't the big cheese." The fox said, staring at the robotic Andrew.

"What?! That's Oikonny! He was dead before!" I said as I prepared a attack to deliver on that ape, a roundhouse kick.

As my boot came in contact with him, he used one of his hands and grabbed the boot...tossing me upside down and crashing into the dresser.

The pain wasn't anything but...I could see everything fade away....

Chapter 4

"Feeble bird.. Let us give you our power." A voice echoed in my mind, Someone who was dressed in some clothing that looked like a black robe like a monk would wear in a church, holding a vaccine with something inside of it. Someone with the drug pointed the sharp needle into my neck and then inserted the drug into me... the same voice laughed and said

"Soon, you will become unable to resist this...intoxicating power."

I woke up quickly as I felt like someone insert a drug into me, then I looked around fast to see where I was...I couldn't get up from the ground because I think I was tied up to something...the same fox I saw eariler, only this time he had only his loincloth as his clothing now. The fox was asleep for some reason, so I shook hard and said

"Hey, hey! Wake up!"

The fox woke up and then letted out a yawn and said "Ai yi yi. Crawl out of one hole, and into another..."

"You want to tell me what's going on here?" I asked the fox.

"Cornerian, yes? Now what brings a bloke like you to this part of Lylat?" The fox asked me. I twisted my hand to slightly hurt the fox in a correcting manner...he said "Ow, ow...easy, whoever you are."

"I'm Falco Lombardi, I came here looking for a boy...you've seen him?" I said and awaited for a response...

"What, are you supposed to be a cop or something? Nah, you don't look the type." the fox said, trying to break free.

"Maybe." I said.

"All right...let me guess, she is the son of Krystal McCloud?" The fox asked.

I laughed in disbelief and said "That is too good for a guess, want to start explaining?"

"...Pyschic powers." the fox said and letted out a laugh, then he resumed "Nah, just kidding with you, friend.  I overheard one of the villlagers talking something about Krystal's son in the church."

"Ok...now who are you supposed to be?" I asked so I could get the fox's name.

"Me? I'm Sabre. I used to be a wanderer of Cerinia...just like Krystal. Now, I'm just a good for nothing guy, who happens to be quite the ladies man." He said, chuckling.

"Funny. Now why did you leave Cerinia?" I asked, making sure I don't remember to tell Krystal about this because of how emotinal she gets whenever her homeworld gets brought up.

"You put your life on the line, no one really appreciates you enough for it. Being a somebody isn't what it's cracked up to be anymore...ever since someone by the name of Fox McCloud saved Dinosaur Planet." Sabre said, taking a deep sigh.

"Yeah, well I used to be a wanderer myself...only for a day since I became a Starfox member that time." I said.

"And I thought I was bad..." The fox said, still trying to escape.

"Somehow I managed to get myself involved with the incident in Corneria city, while Krystal was framed for the outbreak." I said.

"That is the incident with the viral outbreak right? I think I might have seen a sample of the parasite in the lab at my department." Sabre said, finally giving up trying to escape.

Then we heard some footsteps approaching us, someone with a rusty tool...it was a wolf who was carrying a rusty and bloody ax...preparing to kill both of us. We both tried to escape at the same time but it was no use...the wolf was getting closer into chopping both of us down.

"Do something, Falco!!" Sabre cried out.

"After you!" I shouted as I watched the wolf raise the ax up with his hands. Before he was about to kill one of us, I said

"Now! Do it!"

The wolf, using his strength swung the ax down where we both could break free and fight. As we both rolled over to some object, the wolf came after me and tried to slice me with the ax again, I quickly pushed the wolf upside using only my foot and watched him get killed. Sabre got up and looked at me, then he ran away from me.

I got out of the house we both were inside in and saw some figure on my left walk to somewhere...I turned around to see a figure was just giving me a glare with it's eyes...I felt a little suspious of the figure.

"I think I have something that may interest you...stranger." the figure said, opening it's coat filled with ammo and something else.

"Huh?" I was confused. Then I got teleported somewhere by a very blind light...I couldn't tell where I would be next...

As the teleporting process stopped, I landed on a floor and got up to see where I was now. I was in some hallway of a house...or a mansion. Then I heard voices which could be heard near the window, so I decided to eavesdrop and listen to what someone was talking about. Then Oikonny sneaked behind me and began to squeeze me tight around my neck, choking me. My eyes began to go red as the choking kept going, and my breathing began to slow as I kept gagging for some air...then the ape looked at my eyes and saw them turn red. He dropped me on the floor and said to me in a robotic voice

"Hmmmm, you carry the blood as us it seems. Nevertheless, you're an outsider. Just remember, if you become a nuisance to our eyes, you face severe consequences." Then the ape walked away from me.

'What? Same blood?' I thought as I got up and breathed very hard for some air. Then my phone rang with Krystal's number showing on the screen..I picked it up and waited for Krystal to talk

"Falco, I have been able to get some new info that may help you."

"Ok. Fill me in." I said.

"Apparently, there is a religious cult group involved...they are called Phenotrans." She said.

"Phenotrans? At least that isn't a mouthful. Anyways, I had a unexpected run-in with the big cheese of this village...Oikonny." I said.

"What?!? I thought he was dead!" Krystal cried out.

"Don't be fooled, he's only a robot or...something else. I mean just listen to him..." I said.

"Ok...well, you're still OK, right?" She asked in a worried tone.

"Yeah I am...but he really could've killed me...but he let me live, for now. And he also mentioned something about me carrying the same blood as them...whatever that means." I said.

"Hmm...'carrying the same blood...', OK." Krystal said.

"Anyway, there are probably more important things than solving riddles right now." I said, about to hang up.

"You're right...you should hurry and find that church, Falco." Krystal said.

"I will." I said and hung up on her.

Looks like my quest of finding her son is coming to a end...well, at least that is what I hope it is.
