Thank you, but given the situation I have decided to leave this place

on a semi-permanent basis, if not permanent at all.

This is site is becoming increasingly degraded on all levels, I no longer

hold any positive (or negative) regards to the staff, and many of my friends

have left. The place is still standing... New peoples have come, but many folks

have left. I simply do not fit into these new crowds - they are not bad peoples

but we simply do not know each other, and I do not have the time to make new

friends. I am shocked even more at the fact that old folks CONTINUE to leave to this moment,

and even more that Kid_Cortet was banned (reasons I do not know, I was simply told).

Finally, the place does not seem to have improved since I left. I hate to say this,

but you have to show a degree of pragmatism in order to succed, and I can only see

the staff making the same mistakes all over again. This, coupled with the increasing

inflexibility of the place is becoming unbearable.

To put it simple, every time I 'come back', something BAD happened.

I no longer have fun, and if I want to get depressed, I already can do that

IRL with relative ease.

That is why now I must say a final goodbye; and take care you all...

But who knows.

Perhaps we may meet again,

sometime, somewhere...

But not here, I am afraid.

I want to thank you everyone with whom we had good moments,

of fun, randomness, lols (and lolcats) and of course: [shadow=green,left]The HYPER[/shadow].

There is too many people on this list, so I do not want to exclude

anyone because I 'forgot to add them'. In practice you know who

you are, so I simply say thank you.

There was once a time when SF-O, or StarFox-Online was an AWEC00L

place. True: No other website was cooler than it for me bcak then.

This made me be very active when I could, and as my activity rised,

so did the good moments. It got to the point I wanted to start with this

'Role-Playing' everyone was so exited about. Indeed, I had good moments

here too - and the random, strange, awesome and what-cool-else situations

were a usual thing there as well. Now yes - you can say, the first time I ever

Role-Played was on StarFox-Online. And it was the first forum I can say I

actually had fun (I had gone to other, smaller pleaces before, but this one

was simply the best back then).

Now the good old days have faded, I guess, and all that is left is a quiet

memory of what it once was.

I am thinking on whatever to actually delete this account or not.

If I leave it here it is for the sole purpose of you being able to

contact me on MSN. Not anything else.

I also beg the staff to please NOT lock this topic.

The topic won't be locked, but I would really love to see what your rationale is behind all your claims regarding this site and the staff (some of which I can't comprehend as, IMO, they simply aren't true).  The site has grown exponentially over this entire year and as that happens and new members come in... well, of course people (even old timers) are going to move on because things "aren't the same" it happens on every message board that goes at that kind of rate.  Some people just aren't willing to adjust to the times and see the whole thing as "not fun" anymore.  That's perfectly understand and I've been through my share of forums like this as well.  This reminds me of FA when they started to introduce new policy changes and rules at various times throughout the last two years and they have had exoduses of members as a result.  The people who didn't like the changes and couldn't or were unwilling to adapt left and moved on, while FA continued to grow as a result.  Sometimes change is necessary for the greater good and if it upsets a minority of members to the point where some of them leave then that's just the way it goes at times...

Your reasons though, IMO, are completely....based on misconceptions.  The banning of Kid Cortet for example, was done for very good reasons and ANY reputable forum, if you only knew the truth on what he was doing online would have been banned in a heartbeat for what he did and if he wasn't then the site's owner could have been found legally criminally negligent.  (Read:  FBI involvement).  Not taking action in Kid's case would have NOT been the right thing to do, I mean...I can't get into details about what Kid did on here, but I assure you 100% you would be appalled and disgusted because what he did was disturbing, illegal, and harmful to another SF-O member who still is recovering as a result of his actions. Your opinion of him would NEVER be the same again....

FoXXX left for his own and, IMO, "unique" personal reasons that had nothing to do with the way the site is being run or it's members.

Okay, let me clarify so there are not further issues.

I made this new account (and went through the new

registration system, which is a pain, seriously, someone

exagerrated with the anti-spambot protection).

First of all, the thing about people I know leaving is one

of the main issues, althrough not the main issue itself.

Yes, I do not like exessive change, specially when the

people I get used to know is no longer there. It is not

that there is not any people I can not get along - there

are certainly lots of new peoples (emperoroflylat &

comrades come to mind), it is that simply I do not have

time time, or will, to get to know these new peoples.

And also no one can replace a good friend, not even another

good friend.

Now: About Kid_Cortet and FoXXX... Like I said, I do not know

'why' are peoples leaving. I was told Ris left too, by the way.

Now, I do not know 'why' these peoples left, or were banned, or

stuff. I just know they are no longer around, and I got used to

know them.

Now, about the staff, etc... This is a personal perspective about

various responses the staff done in the past (NOT regarding to

the recent ban of Kid_Cortet, which if the word is right, he did

something pretty gross); it is about their actions in general,

not in particular directed at anyone. You can say it just 'adds to

the mix'. Not really a big thing alone, a big thing when combined

to the other bad things.

So... to sum it up. I will miss the 'old times', yes, and I will

miss the place. But more than anything, I miss the old community.

I KNOW that SF-O will continue to grow and will move on - it is okay,

that is how things go in life in general. Someone does not likes a place,

it leaves, but place still contines to change.

But, DRL, you're only focusing on who's gone and not who stayed, you still got me, and Redeemer is still here, and Nick, Mr N. Rebel Gunman, User, and anyone else who's still on that I haven't mentioned.  Lots of people from the old days are still here, If you want to focus on just the bad things fine, but please, know we're still here for ya, you don't -need- to leave just because the others did.  Then again, if you still want to leave, I can't stop you from doing anything.

Now about the whole ban of Kid I never did get rhe other side, but I thought it would be nice to offwr theside I had in the thing. I talked to kidand helped him, throughsome things, and before everything happened, kid had given up on thw other member from what I know, and stopped communication (i could be wrong) Kid then got another message that pretty much threw Kid off, he saw as a sign from the other and I read it, and Kid called them into a meetingwhere they discussed, and they were all open. Discussimgabout thi ng s The other never backed out,whenthey should have. A sucky chain of events happened, and both were at fault in their own way.

The name change was my idea, before the other user began discussing to me that he could not handle it. I then proceeded to talk Kid out of what he had done, butthe damage had been done due to misscommumicarion from all parties. and he regrets everything, and sincerely apologizes to everyone.

This is just based of the knowledge that I know od the situation, I do not know of what messages were sent from Kid to the other member.

We couldn't just ban him and say nothing then let everyone roast our nuts about it. You guys deserve the truth, and we have told you what we can. I was hoping that you all, as my friends, would see that instead of making this harder for us. It wasn't all just logic and banning. We were really torn up. We loved him as much as you guys. FFS why can't people understand that?!

And I am closing this topic. DRL, you are a wonderful man and I have enjoyed all the giggles we had. If you want to leave, that is your choice and I wish you all the best. You will always be welcome here.
