SFDS FRIST SCREENSHOTS!

The game is, as Shiggy said, VERY similar to SF2. You can fly different ships and it appears to be completely "all-range."

Whoa, very nice! I'm not totally nuts about the way Fox looks, though...wish they could at least pick one basic look for him and just go with it. But...hey, cute is cute, and that's besides the point. It looks pretty good to me so far.

Now I just want to know when this game is supposed to take place and what exactly the story is about; I hope it flows well with the chronology of the previous games.

Heheh...SkyBunny :o

Awesome video, Dwight!

Yeah, the video is pretty nice. I can see a resemblence to SF2 on some of the enemies. Also, the game screen is very similar to SF2.

I hope to god they don't use those instrument samples in the final game. There is no excuse to use samples that crappy anymore when you can get a decent sounder orchestra for less than $300 that comes with a sample player.

Time wise, I think this is close to the time of SF64. Note that Fox hasn't changed uniforms yet. Also, in the "SkyBunny" screen, you can vaguely make out Peppy. That means he's flying.

In the video, it appears that the Cornerian Fighter is player-controllable. Also, I saw a ship that resembled a Wolfen (but the resoulution is too low for me to be sure) that appeared under player control.

From the looks of it, you can play as different characters (like SF2) and each character has a different ship (similar to SF2, though there were fewer choices of ship).

These last 2 facts are cause for a logical deduction that Bill may actually be in the game and may even be a playable character. You Bill fans are probably happy to here that, but please remember that it is speculation.

I have one plea: Let us unlock the original SF2 somehow. Please.

I was just hoping he left retirement again (at least temporarily). As for the uniform...Well, it's not exactly the same, although that could be it...Personally, I'd prefer it be after Assault (I don't like going back and forth with stories; just move forward), but I guess if that's not the case, I won't be the most distraught by this, heh.

While it would be nice to see a continuation after assault, that game caused some serous problems for the story after that point. The loss of Great Fox and the sudden friendlyness of Star Wolf and the uncertain state of Pepper's health make things a little shaky. While it all could be dealt with, I am afraid of the directions that would be taken. Especially if this isn't an in-house title (although it appears to be driven by Shiggy, so it probably is)

That's true...plus it WAS eight years between N64 and Adventures...maybe this could explain what they did in that time...maybe.

I see Slippy in one of those screenshots, too...it looks to me like he's wearing his Assault uniform. Is it just me? I see a lot of yellow.

They'll probally re-build a great fox by the cornerian army as a thanx, make SW mad somwhow and Pepper will recover in a hosptial wing. Or at least make something like that happen if they're going after assult.

Otherwise this could be the SF2 remake that we've been looking for as DZ pointing. This is gonna be good!

Now that I look closer at the screens, what appears to be the motehrship doesn't look like Great Fox....

Why do I all of the sudden sense that this game is a side story?

Actually, we know that before we know Star Fox DS was coming. About 2 months ago the patent application was published by the patent office.

I'll try to dig it up later. I have a final project to get on to that due in 2 hours. :o

Damn horrible timing for finals. :(

Fox looks blegh (not even a word.....) :o

But, I'm curious.....will SF:DS have a mulitplayer function? I'm thinking yes, maybe even Wi-fi enabled too.

I certainly wouldn't go that far...it's just a little different! A bit more cartoonish than before :o

As for multiplayer, it said on Nintendo.com it could be up to eight players...and I think it is WiFi compatible.

^I didn't mean like "Ugh! Replusive! Get this image out of my sight this INSTANT!!111!!" type of thing....

He looks blocky and another word I couldn't think of..... Not necessarily an insult. Just one of my observations....Oh, and thanks for the info!

Aww you're just saying that because there's no sight of Krystal (yet?)!

As for the head..again...cartoonish; they tend to have slightly bigger heads.

Down, boy, down!

Fox, Slippy, Peppy, and ROB are the only explicitly shown characters. No Krystal yet.

Car-freaking-toon. What about that word do you not understand?

She may look kyooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot but she wont be hawt. And for some reason I like kyooooooooooot though I feel stupid to be turned on by a toon anyway. ITS NOT THE WAY OF A CELTIC WARRIOR. Hell if some red haired celtic woman asked me out I would take the chance but thats off topic.

*blinks* Wow...

But that couldn't be more besides the point! It's not about whether you get your kicks by looking at Krystal or not, it's about the game!

Maybe it's a Wind Waker type of thing...it looked different, but it was still a great, charming game. Hey, maybe it being less than realistic will make you focus on the game itself!

It looks...interesting. At least it'll give me something else to do with my DS.

I think the game'll be fun. It certainly looks promising. Just hope it's a bit longer than Assault, and maybe with a slightly better story.
