Guest PhazonFox
Hey guys, that's not Peppy. Look carefully, that's definitely a girl! We've got a new Star Fox member it seems... With this addition, chances are the game is set after Assault... Krystal fans have no reason to give up hope on seeing their favorite vixen yet, because the only established characters we've seen so far are ROB, Fox, and Slippy. No one's worrying that Falco's gone, and we haven't seen him yet, right?
Inuyasha
Well, it depends on when the story takes place. If it's a prequel-ish-type thing, then Krystal may not be in it for timeline reasons. There could be other characters that aren't in there, and some that are in there, for the same reason. -Inuyasha
Kal
Hmm, being a girl would explain the pinkness and name of the Skybunny.
EvolutionSFox
Down, boy, down! Fox, Slippy, Peppy, and ROB are the only explicitly shown characters. No Krystal yet. Wait... no Krystal? No fair. What if they don't have her?
Inuyasha
The world comes to an abrupt end. Nah. In reality, I think it'd sell, Nintendo'd make money, and they'd move on to their next project. -Inuyasha

I'm just saying it's not out of the question that Krystal will appear either. I'd honestly be surprised if she wasn't in the game. In any case, I'm really looking forward to this game. Multiple characters, classic 64 gameplay... it looks like Nintendo finally listened to the Star Fox fans and gave us everything we've been begging for. They've laid the foundation for an incredible game, nothing left to do now but wait and hope. My expectations are very high. Show us what you can do, Nintendo! DZComposer
On the issue of the rabbit character being a girl, I've examined the image in detail. I can't come up with a conclusive identification. It is definately possible that this is a new female character. I see things that seem to hint it. Yet, this character also looks a lot like Peppy. If it is a female rabbit, It would certianly have to be Peppy's daughter. I'd need better images. Hopefully, we'll get some concept art this week to put this to rest. Guest Mithos Kionisu
Since when did Peppy even have a WIFE, much less a daughter? For all we know it may be a secondary character like Bill (that you can control obviously....) It's probably a prequil, nintendo has 8 years of blank to fill with what ever they want. That or thier finishing Star Fox 2...
Takuthehedgehog
I'm not so sure Krystal's in it for one reason. In this screen you can see all of the planets, almost the same layout as in Star Fox 64, but with the planets positioned to orbit the sun more, and no Sauria in sight. Also notice the typo, lol. It looks post Starfox 64 though, seeing as Area 6 and the Bolse satalite are both gone. EDIT: Now that I look over it more, Macbeth, and either Zones or Aquas are gone, my logic for that being that if this game were post 64, Zones would've probably not have been as polluted as before without Andross ruling over the planet, and the water turning back to blue. Since Aquas had no characters whatsoever and was completley underwater, my money is on that the blue planet is Zones.

DZComposer
Using planets to base storyline timing is Star Fox is moot. Every game to date has had different planets added or subtracted from Lylat. I have grown to expect planetary changes to Lylat in every game. It is a tradition! SF2 had Eladard. SF64 had Zoness, Katina, and Aquas. SFAd had Sauria, and SFAs had Fichina. There is more evidence supporting post-SFAS at this point. I have seen the rabbit screenshot on my laptop and I can see that it is obviously female on the LCD. (I need to get an LCD monitor for Arwing it seems). So, this is likely Peppy's daugther. I also noticed that the mothership is obviosly NOT Great Fox. Further evidence that this is post-SFAs. Hopefully this cleans up the plotholes Namco caused. Nintendo doesn't mention a co-developer on their site. I wouldn't trust wikipedia for Star Fox anything after how much mis-information I've seen. I highly doubt Rare had anything to do with this as Rare relationship with Nintendo soured and Rare is owned by Microsoft.
ONE_HELLCAT
Yeah. I didn't really care to read much, but. That bunny isn't Peppy [theory] Because the ship is Pink and called the Sky Bunny and I don't think Peppy would fly that, and it appears to have breasts [/theory]. Also this could be a prequal since it's based SF2So Andross might be in there. But we'll just have to wait till alter to know this all for sure. Actually Fichina was in Star Fox 64, but it was mistranslated in the English game as Fortuna, and Star Fox cannon starts with Star Fox 64, so the only planet ever added was Sauria, so my theory stands solid. Blaz3
I actually think that the new Fox looks ok, but nowhere near as good as the Assault version. I preferred the assault version for the face but the Adventures version had so much more emotion. This one looks like it was made just to be used during mission briefings because its too hard to animate on DS. I think that I read somewhere that Krystal will be returning, however I'm not sure. I'm soo excited about this game!!!! Too bad that you can't shoot on-foot, I loved that, it was the best. I do however like the idea of drawing you're own flight path you want to fly. The touch screen controls are quite simplistic, I think you use the map to move the ship and tap one of the icons to the side of the map to do a loop and use the other picture to do a u-turn. Looks good to me!!! I would like Wi-fi but not expecting it
Hope(N Forever)
Despite the fact this game seems to have a more cartoony look, and is pretty much flight-only game, it seems to able to kick more ass than StarFox Assault in certain ways! According to this article, seems there is something "Krystal-ish" in the game. Not only that, but it seems to feature over THIRTY missions (twice more than StarFox 64)!! Not to mention it will have OVER FIFTEEN playable characters!! Dang! It seems we ought to be ready to welcome a new group o' characters into our lives soon, citizens! I think Corneria must really be active this time... I still wonder whether or not we'll get to see Andross again.
Guest Kit Airheart
I'm wondering how many of these 15 characters will be pre-existing and how many will be brand new ones. The team as is (Fox, Falco, Slippy, Krystal) seems like a sure thing. Hopefully the StarWolf team, too, maybe Peppy, Bill, Katt...perhaps even General Pepper. That still leaves some space...there's that new Sky Bunny girl (I would have to guess it's a niece of Peppy's or something...if he were married, I think we'd know about it), and then maybe there will be a handful of more new characters. I don't think Andross wll be coming back...I mean, Assault kind of put a fork in that one. I don't really want him to come bac at this point, anyway
Hope(N Forever)
Don't forget: ROB 64 will be a playable character as well! There might also be a chance to go and see Miyu and Fay revived and back in action as well!
Guest Kit Airheart
ROB too? Eh, I could do without him I don't know about Fay and Miyu, but I do know if they DO appear, there will be a good lot of fans who will finally stop complaining that they never got in the StarFox games XD
