Sabre
For a couple of reasons I want to play some of the old NES games. However, I want to play the popular ones and from my youth. Chip and Dale, Turtles, Contra, Mario, and Zelda of course. So, to the google mobile I found plenty of lists, none of which agreed with each other and many left out games that everyone had (didn't see one Contra or Turtles anywhere) and most of them are japan or worldwide lists. eg. I never heard of Dragon Warrior but apparently it's in the top 10 between Zelda and Metroid.Anyone have a reliable "Ordered by sales" type list? Also what games do you remember from the day? "User"
I never heard of Dragon Warrior but apparently it's in the top 10 between Zelda and Metroid. The Dragon Warrior RPG series was originally called Dragon's Quest in Japan but it was changed due to an NES game already being called the in North America. The series at the time was heck of a lot more popular in Japan and rivaled the Final Fantasy series in total sales for a number of years.Anyone have a reliable "Ordered by sales" type list? Also what games do you remember from the day?I'm sure you might be able to find one on Wikipedia titled top 10 NES games by sales or something else. Back in the day every person I knew of that had an NES had Super Mario Bros 3. and if you didn't have it there was something wrong with you. The other mario games were quite popular as well. Sabre
Ah, just another name for dragon quest. Makes sence. As for wikipedia, was one of the lists I came across, and fairly feeble to be honest.
