The "Get Krystal In Smash Bros." Project

Sorry to be a Devil's Advocate here, but....

Redmond's the wrong place to send it. (you'll either get a form letter or a letter back thanking you for your interest in SSBB but thay can't do anything)

You'd have to get it to Masahiro Sakurai at Nintendo's SSBB studio in Tokyo, as he's the guy in charge of the project. I doubt it would make it there through NOA. You'd either have to send it to NCL in Kyoto or try to find out the address of the SSBB studio in Tokyo (you'd have a higher chance if it getting noticed if it went to the later).

I've been reading that there will be 50 playable characters in SSBB, so there is a chance already that she's in it.

"Right along with the recently unveiled Smash Bros. Brawl trailer, a consumer survey of sorts went up on Nintendo of Japan's website. The poll is designed to give gamers a chance to help build the next chapter in one of the most anticipated franchises in Nintendo's arsenal. After clicking the bottom link on the opening page, a submission form is brought up, allowing fans to write in desired characters or music themes" ~ IGN

Dwight has simply listed instructions on how WE (english speaking) can use the official japanese voteing thing.

I have already voted for Krystal useing Dwights instructions!

Nice one, Dwight you rock

You are probably right, but I figured, "Hey all they have to do is make a phone call to the development team." But hey, you find me an address in Japan, and I'll send it there too. :glomp:

Personally, I hope Krystal can make the SSBB lineup, but I've talked to quite a few people about this. It's pretty much one of those 50/50 opinions. But, oh well. GO KRYSTAL!!! :glomp:

I'm going to be drawing a parody art for that after I finish pimp Sephy.

"Newcomer Krystal"

There's a YTMND out there for her in SSBB, but it's one of Dr. Comet's more er, distinguishable pics to say the least (in other words don't click it). I'm going to have my friend make a YTMND out of the Krystal pic I'll be making. So when the time comes... heavy crits, please:P

It's a disgrace to see one of Dr. Comet's more revealing works on YTMND for this particular subject in my opinion. Gotta set that straight...

*checks it out anyway*

...I thought these YTMND things were supposed to be funny

Jeez, I almost don't want her in the game right now. Quick, someone make a YTMND with actual SF game footage and some kind of point to it! ^^;

<Edit> Random is more like it.</edit>

I have a novel concept. Why don't we just play the game and enjoy it as is?

Alternately, they could use their heads and actually port it to PC. Then we could mod it in. But naah, the most powerful gaming platform in existence naturally can't get any new games because it's not advertised enough. Silly me.

That cynically said, I might as well note that Krystal will actually be featured in NTS. She's an unlockable. Don't know what you have to do to unlock her. No drawbacks, too - it's a deathmatch game, so all player characters are equal.

Alternatively, Nintendo could release patches including characters, levels, balancing, etc. Bungie did it with the Halo maps, so why not here, where' it'd be perfect for it?

EDIT: NTS?

No! 'Halo 2.5' was an insult to anyone who even mildly likes games or computers! The concept of making you PAY for a PATCH... Blech!

And as for NTS, you're really not allowed to know anything about it, unfortunately, including the name. It's going to be a modification (A big one) for Half-Life 2 to incorperate some pretty funky gameplay. Think The Matrix meets Deus Ex meets Halo. Except in a modern-day, dystopian setting.

I never said anything about paying for patches. Although it is a possibility, it's also likely that they'd be free, given that a large number of patches for programs are free.

And now I wish I had a computer that could run Half-Life 2.

'Halo 2.5' was a patch. You had to buy it separately. If they let you download and install patches for free, great. I just object to the fact they made a patch so well advertised they could actually sell it.

Yeah... That will be Half-Life 2 for PC only, naturally. Console version isn't modable.

getting back on topic,

thanks Dwight for posting how to say: "I want Krystal in SSBB" in Japanese. It adds more credibility to our votes.

I found that somebody posted the link to the submission page on Gamefaqs, however, most of the ppl there don't know how to write "I want (insert X character here) in SSBB in Japanese. Thus, alot of them I imagine, will write something in English- and since the poll only was supposed to be for gamers in Japan, alot of those submissions, I imagine, will largely be ignored.

so thanks again, and I really hope Nintendo grants our wish. -_-

Hate to disappoint you, but I was unable to get someone to translate it for me, so I used an online translator. If you take what I translated and translate it back it says: "I am included the Krystal from the orphan of the star in quarrel of the sibling of extreme pulverization, it requires." Needless to say, if anyone knows anyone who knows Japanese, HAVE THEM CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY!!!

I don't know Japanese, but I do know that "Super Smash Bros" itself isn't translated. It is Katakana'd (foreign language put into Japanese pronunciation using the Katakana alphabet). It is something like this: supa sumatsushiyu burazazu. I pulled this off of the Japanese SSBB site: 大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズ Google translates it as "Large Scufle sumatsushiyuburazazu." Soulds like Smash Bros. Brawl to me.

Like in Japan, Star Fox is known as "Suta Fokkusu" ( スターフォックス ) which is the katakana of "Star Fox." Most everything, Proper Noun wise, in Star Fox is Katakana of it's engish counterpart.

Research reveals:

Fox would be "Fokkusu" フォックス (I verified it)

Krystal is "Kurisutaru" クリスタル (I verified it)

Falco I believe is "Faruko" ファルコ (I verified it)

Slippy I think is "Surippi" スリッピー (I Verified it)

Peppy I think it "Peppi" ペッピー (I Verified it)

ROB is "Nausu" ナウス (verified) :? I guess that explains the "NUS" textred on hin in SFAd. Nausu is Not the Katakana of Rob. That is "Robbu" ロッブ

And, an interesting fact, "Koruneria" is the Katakana of the latin name "Cornelia" Guess what that's close to. ;)

Yeah yeah...

You know, I usually find this new internet fad of spitting out Japanese words (usually kawii and that "chan" and "san" stuff ) to be annoying, but...Fokkuso sounds so cute...

hehe

i should use this in my fan fic:

DF:"Belive in youself, Fokkusu"

Fox:"The next time you go Zen on me, I will slap it right out of you!"

DF:"Sure, Fox."

I Wonder if they'll listen, no matter what the gaming community says... they do like going theire own way....
