Robert Monroe
Jami was silent for a moment before whispering back. "It's a possibility... but its far too soon to point any fingers around. Besides, that would only explain how we found this room so fast. Everything else, not so much. At worst, really, I'd say she might be under the employ of someone else... but again: can't really tell at this point."
Sarita
Sissi took her seat farthest from the head of the table, hardly pausing to pull out the chair, instead just opting to squeeze in to the space that was there. She heard the couple and the hyena girl talking about what they smelled, and took in a huge whiff, wondering what she would smell. Much to her surprise, it smelled of cologne and a roast baking in the oven, "Well, those two don't go together..." she thought with mild amusement. She looked around the room to take in the details of the dining hall. No doors besides the one that lead in to what she assumed was the kitchen, and the one they came through. This frustrated her. She hated not knowing every detail of what was going on. Instead of dwelling on this, she decided there was a more pressing matter. Her lowly growling stomach."Am I the only one suddenly annoyed that we were promised a meal when we got here, and have yet to get it?"
Redeemer
Freya padded over to the long table, which was elegant in design and beautifully decorated. She took her seat, which was next to the head of the table, and with Elizabeth's namecard opposite her. She interlaced her fingers together and rested her chin of the net that they made. She could smell something delicious, freshly baked bread and creamy, melting butter.Maybe we're having soup, if we're getting bread... She smiled to herself. Fresh bread was her favourite smell, and she was eager to devour some after her long slumber. The sheer beauty of the dining room made her feel very small, and indeed, underdressed. If she was ever invited to a party here, she would have looked out that eggshell blue cocktail dress and her matching shoes. That was her fanciest outfit. She cringed as she realised how disheveled she appeared, and her ears sank a little. The cat girl sighed and lifted one of the many forks to the left of her plate. She waggled it around, weaved it through her fingers and just generally played with it until their host would appear. She was eager to see who had brought her here. DoctorAllosaurus
Michael walked over to his seat and said "Oh man, what a table. I can't remember the last time I ate on one of these." he then sat down.He then looked over at Sissi and replied "Cooking takes time, especially when you have eleven mouths to feed" he smiled at her then looked at his silverware, admiring how shiny and clean they were opposed to the rust stained silverware he was used too. Xortberg
"Maybe so," interjected Elizabeth, " but if whoever's in charge here was able to get us all here as easily as they did, I would expect them to be prompt with their breakfast." She took a deep breath, breathing in the wonderful scent of biscuits and gravy. "Still, I'm not sure I'd entirely trust food from my kidnappers. Of course, if they wanted to hurt us they could have easily done it by now, so I suppose I can set aside my suspicion here and be impatient with Freya," she finished with a grin, trying to lighten the uneasy mood. Fedora
Nice spread Raymond thought. He was quite impressed. But of course, in a place like this it was hard not to be. Still, he was still on edge considering the rather surreal paintings, the oddly pleasant scent and the lack of anyone else in the manor. Raymond sat down after taking in his surroundings. He left his hat hanging on a rack nearby and tried following the conversations around the table. Looks like everyone here has suspicions. Might be a bit early to draw conclusions but we may actually be all in the same boat. He glanced toward Sissi for a quick second, and yet, we have a guide among us?. Seeing as he was getting nowhere, Raymond tried to relax a bit. His best result was only seeming to be forcibly relaxed and forced at best. He looks at his card then notes with mild annoyance, "Raymond? Just Raymond? How hard is 'Raymond Marlowe' to put on a card?"
Arashikage
"Heh, good thing nobody knows my name" Kage smugly remarked to Raymond "I'm fine with just Arashikage, that's all they call me anyway" He added, leaning back slightly, he figured if he was going to die, he might as well embrace it, he couldn't help it anyway. Fluxy
(hate to nudge you guys, but this has been quiet for awhile) [Yes, with the change, it seems players have been still adjusting, so I plan to make a post tomorrow to get things going along again. I gave a good amount of time for people to adjust, and I know we need to continue. I haven't just been not doing anything for a reason.] [EDIT: Yes, Robert is correct. I even discussed about this in the past week in my Discussion topic.]
Fluxy
With everyone in their seats, for the exception of Mr. Monroe, as he was standing, the lights partially flickered as they soon grew brighter than they once were, making the color and atmosphere of this great and long hall area much larger and elegant than it was before. A door that was once seemed to be a blank wall on the right hand side of the room appeared as the lights flickered about. And as soon as the wide and large door opened, the magical aroma and scent faded in mere seconds. The one who opened the fine crafted door was a black furred fox, wearing a french designed trench coat, as well as high end formal clothing under it. The clothing combination might have seemed odd at first, but at second glance, he looked quite well dressed. "My guests, I see you all have come for dinner." The fox said with a charismatic smile as he walked over to the head of the table. None of the pictures in the lengths of the halls presented themselves to have this man in one of them. "And I am sure all of you have questions, so let me make this simple for you." The charismatic fox stated. "My servants will serve us dinner, and during the courses, you may all ask your questions." "Now, Claude, Renin, Estelle, and Ernest, if you would be so kind?" He spoke, and then gave a small clap. [Okay, those with the NPC's, go for it! You know what you need to do, I will send you reminder PM's in a little bit after this post is made to give you guys notification.]
Robert Monroe
Robert looked around when the lights flickered. "Someone's playing with the fusebox...", he started to say sarcastically, but then paused when the secret door in the wall opened up. He kept his eyes fixated on the character who stepped out. Well dressed or no, it was quite odd to see Black Tie crossed with a trenchcoat, even a trenchcoat that looked to cost a small fortune. To be honest, he was a bit jealous, but that was irrelevant. Redeemer
Freya blushed with embarrassment. Their host, a rather handsome black fox, was so well dressed it put her to shame. She lowered her head in an attempt to hide her pink cheekbones, but defeated herself as she tried to glimpse at the host again. His image and manners had caught her imagination, and she longed to engage him in conversation. I hope he explains everything... The cat girl ruffled her hair. If she couldn't look smart, she would simply take on the shabby "rock-chick" look that had gotten so popular. She quickly checked her reflection in one of the numerous spoons next to her plate. She looked a little better, more awake at least.
Fedora
Flickering lights... ALWAYS a good sign Raymond initially thought. Then the wall opened up to reveal the fox. So are we in a lavish mansion or the biggest fun-house I've ever seen?! Raymond held his tongue though. No point in insulting their host and kidnapper. ----- A human girl comes in with a push-cart with plates of soup for the guests. Compared to the dapper and rather odd fox, she looked quite common. She wore no clothing suggesting she was a servant but just a regular t-shirt and jeans. Moreover. as she gave each guest their plate, they could hear loud rock music coming from her earphones. When she has finished, she stands at attention a announces a bit louder than she has to, "The appetizer soup today is Pot-au-fer de la mer as made in France. Any other requests can be made to Renin or myself. ... or not." She bows and moves to one of the corners to be called. However, it's fairly obvious she's slowly tuning out of the dinner and into her music.
DoctorAllosaurus
"Well he looks like an interesting character, snappy dresser too" Michael thought to himself as he watched the mystery host walk into the room. When Michael heard what the soup was, he bit down on his lip, sucked air through his teeth, and just stared into the soupy abyss. He knew this was a seafood dish, and seafood tends to always make him sick. He thought of saying something, but he was afraid he'd insult the chef so he decided to keep his mouth shut unless asked about why he wasn't touching his food. Milkyway64
Anna also picked at her food. Seafood was one of the things she wasn't a fan of and compared to the smell of roasting potatoes and meat she caught whiffs of earlier, this was disappointing. She stirred her soup and glanced in either direction, wondering if she was the only one not sucking this stuff down.
ballisticwaffles
"WELCOME!" Shouted Ernest as he kicked open the door from the kitchen, balencing several dishes with both his hands. As quick as he entered he set the plates and dishes down. From his white chefs coat he drew spices and herbs and just started pileing them on things, pepper on pancakes, salt on an egg, cinnomen in someones soup. "Glad you all can taste my Divine Cooking!" By Divine, he ment that something has sparked life in his dishes. By sparked life, i mean they were attempting to get up and walk away. "can i get you guys something? how about a little spice?" he said, still piling the plates more with condiments than actual food.
Sarita
Sissi was taken aback by the eccentric man serving their food. She stared at him with shock, narrowly avoiding having her soup cinnamon'd. She sat low over the food and ate it quickly, keeping an eye on Ernest. Robert Monroe
Jami seemed to be very pleased with the smell of the seafood stew at least. The simple but elegant dish put a smile on her face, at least until the chef attempted to drown it out in condiments. She put out her hands before was able, and then selected a few key spices from his rack and applied them in appropriate amounts herself before placing them back, saying a light hearted "Thank you". Robert saw the food being wheeled out and finally took his seat. He loved seafood as well, but he was curious why this doesn't smell anything like the aroma that filled the room earlier. Arashikage
When Kage saw the servants he was slightly surprised. 'Hmm, humans, that's a sight for sore eyes' he thought, and he was happy to see them, especially the human girl blasting the rock music, 'Damn... Who's that?' He thought, maybe he could talk to her, he'd have to get past the barrier of music first, but that didn't seem to be a problem, not yet at least. Then he saw the male servant, 'This guy's a bit... Eccentric' Kage thought, 'to say the least that is' But he was sure he meant well, and it would be rude to not at least taste the food that was prepared for him, but seeing the stuff that went on it, he could wait. And wait he did, for the others to start at least.
Redeemer
Seafood stew? Oh man... I can't eat this... Freya placed her soup spoon into the steaming bowl of broth. It smelled fantastic, there was no doubt about that, but she was aware of the salt content in the fish. Salt had always made her very, very ill, and so she could not bring herself to eat the dish. She reached to the centre of the table and nibbled on some buttered bread instead. It was better than nothing. She had no intention on being rude, but not eating the stew was much better than throwing up later. In front of her dapper new hosts.

FoxMcCloud
A man dressed in a a formal black suit, and wearing white gloves came out of a back room. He looked to all of the guests, and smiled. "Uh, Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Claude and I will be in charge of making sure that you are all set with anything that you need" He voiced in a slightly french accent. "Might I interest you in our special blend of tea? it is made from the finest of herbs and tea leaves. I promise you will like it.. He moved from guest to guest in a smooth fashion filling each of their tea cups. "Also later this evening our fine chef Ernest will be creating our main course of the evening which will be Herbed Chicken à la Francaise" He went to the front of the room gave a slight bow and went to the back room
