DZComposer
This thread is for describing the new features and how they work. If you figured one out that I haven't gotten to yet, feel free to help me out and post how to use them. *Upvoting and Downvoting Upvote button: Downvote button: This is for establishing reputation. If you think a post is good, upvote it. If you think it is bad, downvote it. If you think it need staff attention, report it ( Report ) DO NOT downvote posts because you disagree. That's considered bad netiquette.

FoxMcCloud
I made a post here. Whenever you look at SFO using a mobile device, it automatically switches to the mobile theme. I posted some info here

LoneWolf
Is there still a "View Unread Replies" feature? Also, is there a black theme? That was one of my favorite things about the previous SFO forums. The black theme was really slick.

Click the "View New Content" button in the top right corner of the screen accomplishes the same purpose. As far as themes are concerned DZ is currently working on a Sector X V2.0 that will be used with this site.

Alright awesome, I don't like this bright white everywhere I go on the site. I miss the black and blue (Hey, our Star Fox smilies are still here!) The black theme was really slick. There will be one, but I have to build it. Because of that, it will be a few days before it is ready. But once it is, I will swap it over to being our default. "User"
What about just for threads we've posted in? (Such as this one, since this is the only one I've posted in since the change) I'm not sure if there is a button or what not for it but I'm going to deduce when you click View New Content and see icons such as these on the left side of each topic with a little white "piece of paper" on them that indicates that you have made a reply in that topic. DZComposer
Watch a thread to track it's replies. They will show-up on the sidebar on the index page. ( Watch Topic )
DZComposer
Update on the new theme: NOTE: The text isn't really that small. I zoomed out so that I can show more without a huge image. The admin bar under the nav bar disappears if you are not logged in as a staff member. For non-staff members, the blue line is much smaller. Looks almost exactly like the main site's menu bar. I do have to forewarn that this theme will not look as good in IE as it will in other browsers. Don't blame me, blame Microsoft for not following standards. EDIT: Nice Tags >_< It's getting close to usable. If you guys want to play with it, select "Sector X II" from the combo box on the bottom-left. Just be aware that you are using an incomplete theme, and I will ignore you if you shoot PMs at me or post in the problems thread about it. Nova
Update on the new theme: Im sorry but that really doesnt look right to me. I don't know if its because it looks different on my screen but...Yeah. Something is definitely off there with the scaling/positioning. EDIT: Im an idiot and skipped the part about "ZOOMING OUT".... Looking Great DZ. XD

Sabre
I posted a youtube link and it auto embedded. I'm of the opinion that the rating system would be used in a bad way. If you are sad enough you can keep up voting your own posts, at least that's what happened on 1 site. I have this image of a troll voting bloc and people doing exactly as you say, going around voting based on whether they agree or not. Also downvote for using the term 'netiquette'. Although, on a serious point, I consider posts consisting of just a meme or a picture bad, but most people love them. Would that be negative worthy? Sylum
Ehh. That's voting for the sake of not agreeing it sounds
Sabre
Then already we can eliminate the - option. If it can't be used if someone disagrees, and can't be used be used for lazy, none relivent posts, what's the point? However it is intended to be used you know it won't be. DZComposer
It is supposed to be about post quality. Well-thought-out posts or posts with good content are supposed to be upvoted, while off-the-cuff flames or reposts or whatever are what are supposed to be downvoted. There isn't an enforcement mechanism, but it is generally considered bad netiquette to downvote something just because you don't like the opinion. You are entitled to your opinion, though. If you think an image macro is worth a downvote, then downvote. I don't care. There isn't anything tied to the feature, so if you don't like it, just ignore it. The staff won't punish people for having negative rep.
Sabre
I see. I assumed that it would autoban or auto hide posts or put you on an untrusted list or something. If there was no action tied to rep, my other concern is it would at least be used as a counter. eg. A makes a stupid point, B counters, A dismisses B because he has a low rep. or the opposate where As words are taken as gospel because they are in the black. Although if rep does nothing, why have it at all?
LoneWolf
I still need to know if you can add BandCamp or SoundCloud songs to your post. I believe there's a plugin for SoundCloud, but I haven't found one for BandCamp. Now, if there's a way to use regular object embed codes, that would work, but I have yet to find the option that allows it.
