Nervous and anxious beforehand but once I get into it the adrenaline takes over and cleanses those fears away.

Milkyway64
Heights, other primal fears. Oddly enough, when going in for something I think I'd be nervous about (paintball, doing anything with an opponent I know is REALLY good) I usually am not. Vulvokunvrii
i get nervous when im at certain hieghts, when im next to the ocean (thats why id never want to be in the Navy; i have a small fear of dying in the ocean...), and when i am in an airplane (enhanced fear of heights; i have a fear of blowing up or crashing at high speeds as well). Thats all i can think up at any rate.

LoneWolf
I play absolutely no sports. I'm generally not nervous either. I'm just one of those people that says "I'll deal with it when it happens, but for now, I can ignore it."

LoneWolf
when im next to the ocean (thats why id never want to be in the Navy; i have a small fear of dying in the ocean...) I live on an island. Problem? Heights, other primal fears. Oddly enough, when going in for something I think I'd be nervous about (paintball, doing anything with an opponent I know is REALLY good) I usually am not. Why is everyone afraid of heights here? They're not that bad. I lean over the railing on Deception Pass Bridge when I can. Problem?

JCMasterman
I usually get nervous whenever I have to speak in front of a large group of people. Or when I'm presenting something to be judged by professionals. Lately I've gotten better at the former though. :)
The Shaper
I can't remember the last time I was nervous. Heights? I'm not scared of heights I'm scared of falling from them. The dark? Only what comes out of it. Getting shot? Only if it's a lethel blow. Earshattering sounds? If everything was quiet beforehand. A really tense match against an opponent? Only if it's a fight to the death. Trying not to make any noise while getting past somethig sensitive to sound? Absolutley.
Vulvokunvrii
So go into a submarine. You don't have to look at the ocean when underway and submerged But it's IN the ocean, and one wrong move, and you can be crushed like a piece of balled up paper. No thnank you! Actually, physics prevent this from happening. The cylinder is one of the most structurally sound shapes. Just like if you stand on top of an empty can of soda, it will support your full weight. Try it. It works. Make sure the can is not dented.
