ballisticwaffles
Good guys wins, and gets the pritty girl. Odds are this good guy also very attractive. The monsters are almost always left out of this equasion. Im babbelling. Lemme try again. Im sick and tired of good looking people shacking up with good looking people in fiction. Monsters, as per some weird universal law, do not ever rescue anyone, and rarely do they get love. Does anyone else see this? or am i just... i dunno. For example, If given the chance to romance the following two beings 1. a terrable hellbeast, probably a Xenomorph, cuase its me we are talking about, with the heart of an angel 2. The good looking "hero" who is an all around douch and probably abusive The heroin will most likely shack up with the hero.

Vulvokunvrii
well its a media thing. The "Good-looking guy" always getd the 'babe. It's hard to explain..im sure someone who is slightly more knowlegdable in the film industry would be bale to help you!
LoneWolf
Yep, that's how it works in adventure fiction. The hero gets the babe. This is a formula proven to work. There have been exceptions (e.g. Beauty and the Beast) but generally movies/games/books adhere to this, as long as they're adventure novels. Otherwise it's a fairly boring formula for mysteries or whatever else.

Im rather curious to what you have in mind.... A realistic movie set in the middle ages. The damsel is surrounded by filth, disease, chauvanistic Knights and constant bloody warfare. This Eldrich Abomination that kidnapes her, keepes her in the clean(er) mountains, feeds her more food than she has ever seen in her life (IE a loaf of bread), probably has manners (or isnt chauvanistic) and when the Knights do come to whisk her away , she will probably spend the rest of her life making behbeis. Just something to break the mold. Let the giant 3 story tall snake get a hug. Imagen that movie poster, a daemon from the foulest pits of hell with a rather nice looking girl giving it a hug. Have the centaur get a kiss from the ladie as he rides off into the sunset with her on his back. make a movie where the happiliy married couple turns out to be a Xenomorph and a nice girl. just anything to break the mold. Your pretty good *does the Revolver Ocelot pose*, i think i have heard that kind of plot in a children's book when io was younger. Something about a gir l who eitehr got kidnapped or ran away from some kingdom, and she is being held "hostage" by the orge or whatever. Then the knight comes along and to rescue you her-only shedoesnt wish to go and kisses the orge and she becomes one i think. Lol the page is in my mind and i remeber it vividly. Altyhouhg,i think a fitting end would be that the two would eat the knight, but it was a children's book ,and they wouldnt do that But as for the Xenomorph marrying a nice girl....uhm...the xenos are all female-with the exception of the king alien. How would that work? Otherwise, i do believe that kind of movie could be feasible.
ballisticwaffles
i was using them as an example, not nessisarily as the perfect choice. And even that book you cite, the moral of the story is, Dont love a monster, or you will become one. Shrek i do believe. And even then it goes farther. You cant love a monster without being one yourself. You cant be in love with out being the same speices. stuff liek that.
