Guest Mithos Kionisu
Metroid is like the only classic that I havent played yet......... *masamune'd by Mithos* fixed MEtroid is my all time favorite series, but it has a kinda steep learning curve, if your looking for something you can just pick up and go then get zelda or tetris

ArwingMaster
agreed. Lttp is awesome as well. you picked a title to start out on S-RS. Once you've finished Super Metriod, LLTP, and OOT. Then play Metroid: Zero mission. Just because it will get you used to a metroid motif: Sequence breaking, aka missing items on purpose for a challenge. Kal
Correction: MZM will show you how to do sequence breaking the wrong way. Prime does it the best after Super (unless you count the original Metroid's pick up whatever you find style).

Sol-Ratcht Saporro
Oh you poor poor dear. I was in the same predicament too! But do try it, it's a nice change in the usual preferance of games. Next I might try the original before going to prime....
Jaith
Of course. What kinda of a Metroid would it be without the Ridley fight? Metroid II, Echoes and Hunters... sorry but it had to be pointed out...because...I uh...said so... Why commit yourself to one series? I absolutely love both series as they're both awsome in their own right, If you like FPS but your looking for a change to the whole shoot em up thing, Try the Metroid Prime Series, as if freatures lots of puzzle solving, and backtracking...and by the end of the game your pritty much freaking invincible! The side scrollers are fun too But if FPS isn't your thing well... then try some Zelda, it's so awsome it speaks for itself... I'm personally getting both TP and Corruption when the Wii comes out... Honestly I can't pick one over the other, I just love them both so much... >_> ; To the point where I joined a Metroid/Zelda crossover rp on Gaia... *Cough*
Zicka
Only the Hard-core gamers play Metroid. Zelda is so... bourgeois...
Sol-Ratcht Saporro
I like them both. I must admit, Zelda is a bit more tedious but the puzzles are fun, and who doesn't love a good battle or two? Classic Metroid kinda brings me back to the good ole side-scroller days. I haven't got a chance to play Prime yet, but I love the classic Metroid and Super Metroid (Sheer Awesomness) Yah, I'm getting to Prime when I get my hands on a copy.
