When Star Fox 64 3D comes out, Dont you think it should have online. I think it should have online but not like Star fox Command where you only could play Death macth and not Team Death macth or Capture the flag. Star Fox Command only lets you use the same Arwing, which is boring. I just hope that If Star Fox 64 3D has online, it should have A leader board to see who is number one in that game.

The original SF64's multiplayer was and still is pretty fun. But if 643D does have some form of online multiplayer, I think they would need to add some more depth to it in order to make it fun for online.

Honestly, the fact that the previous handheld Star Fox game had online play makes it almost mandatory that the upcoming one have it as well, remake of an older game or not. The older game had Multiplayer, but it required multiple controllers at the same console. If we were talking older Nintendo handhelds, this would have been seen its equivalent in Link cables and multiple gameboys. However, in the age of the DS and the 3DS, mutliplayer takes things online, and it's really as simple as that.

3DS will have some form on online multiplayer. Whether it will simply be 64's multiplayer with online instead of up to 4 controllers at one console/TV, or if Nintendo will advance it in some way is the question.

You may as well ask if the next Call of Duty should have guns.

Don't assume anything.

I'd like to see online VS Mode, but we just don't know enough about SF643D to say things like this.

If it DOESN'T have online multiplayer, I will be VERY shocked. It is on a system with online multiplayer capabilities, with little alternate multiplayer options, to be honest.

We are also talking about a series where every game but the very first, and one which was a Zelda game with Star Fox and Dinosaurs, has had multiplayer. Given that this game is a remake of the first such game to have multiplayer in the series, it would be an INSULT by the creators not to include Multiplayer, and a devastatingly bad move on the company's part for the game, especially with the potential of the 3DS over the N64 in such regards.

Seeing as Multiplayer is virtually guaranteed (given the above information, the only way they could NOT include it would be complete utter incompetence to a degree we haven't come CLOSE to seeing in Star Fox yet), we take a look at the system it's on. The 3DS's most prominent method of multiplayer will be online. There will probably be offline methods as well, but I, in my admitted vast ignorance of the DS having never acquired one, have not heard of any DS games that had Multiplayer that was not online in some fashion.

In conclusion, I would like to say that in my personal opinion, the chances of 3DS not having some form of online multiplayer are about as good as the rights to the Star Fox Series getting sold to Microsoft who then makes a game with Star Fox teaming up with Master Chief against Magneto who they must defeat in a series of Mario-esque minigames.

And I have no clue where the hell that comparison came from.

Star Fox 64 multiplayer wasnt that fun. You could only use the arwing, then you could use the land master by unlocking it. Star Fox 64 3D better let you use more ships and have guns like in assault.

SF64 3DS won't have guns like assault because it's not assault. The game is supposed to be a (pretty much) exact remake of SF64 as far as I've seen, so they won't add an on foot segment.

Hey, a medieval Call Of Duty would be cool and gun-less.

Star Fox 64 did have on foot in multi player. You had to get all the medals in expert mode.

Also, the DS was mostly local wireless, and not online. We don't know if SF643D will have online, but I do know that it will have local wireless support for sure.

I'm going to guess that it probably will, I just hope that it isn't half-assed like most of Nintendo's online ventures.

I don't know. You never know how many people will buy the game before it's even out, and even when a popular game sells a lot of copies not everybody has an internet connection. You need a net connection to play online, right?

From IGN:

Star Fox 64 3D

Nintendo/Flight Shooter

General Pepper needs your help! Andross has declared war! He's invaded the Lylat System and is trying to take over Corneria! It's up to Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, and Slippy Toad to clean up the mess, flying and shooting their way through all the classic levels in this remake of the N64 classic. In addition to updated graphics, this remake also brings a new, online, multi-player mode to the table.

http://www.ign.com/system-guides/3ds/major-3ds-games

I can't find this anywhere else, though. So at this point I'll say cautiously plausible.

yeah I know that had an on foot. I'm just not thinkin they'll bring it back cause as I recall, there was only one weapon (I think.) Kind of a lame multiplayer by today's gamer's standards when you only have one weapon  (I still thought it was pretty fun, but it won't attract alot of people with only one weapon)

This is a fact sheet from Nintendo about the game.

STAR FOX 64 3D - FACTS

The Star Fox team triumphantly returns to one of its greatest missions with the remake of Star Fox 64 in full 3D. The entire Star Fox universe spreads out realistically into the depths of the Nintendo 3DS screen while the 3D visuals give the player a clearer grasp of distance and position. This makes the game more approachable and intuitive, thereby allowing players to focus on the action. Star Fox 64 3D also puts the two screens of the Nintendo 3DS system to use, with the top screen featuring 3D game play and the bottom screen displaying the various characters and their dialogue.

Features:

3D update of Star Fox 64: A complete graphical update brings a Nintendo classic into the glasses-free 3D age.

Multiplayer: A new multiplayer option lets up to four players engage in fierce dogfighting action via a local wireless connection on their Nintendo 3DS systems. Multiplayer mode features new power-ups and weapons.

Thrilling new features ups the Star Fox mania

The new Score Attack Mode allows the player to revisit any planet and play for a high score on that level.

New features also allow first-time players to enjoy the excitement of Star Fox.

^ I was just thinking recently that they should do that!

I still wish that there was online multi player, but at least it HAS multi player.

WTF does this mean? SF64 isn't that hard of a game to begin with, o_O

Maybe it means it has the same feature from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, where there was a shadow in front of you showing the moves. But I agree, not even I had that much of a problem playing through the game.

It probably means it'll have that super guide thing.

If they do this, and the "super character" is James, I will be hella-pissed.
