salmon45
One day I was thinkg how there is a star trek roleplaying game and a star wars roleplaying game. Why not a Starfox roleplaying game? Rather than just complain, I decided to do something about it. Build a Starfox roleplaying game. I decided to build it on the foundation of dungeons and dragons 3.5 rules. I knew that this would be an enormous task that I could never do by myself. That is where you come in. I have posted what I have done so far on a webpage http://geocities.com/salmon451 Go there and check it out for yourself. Expect more content to apperar periodicly. First you will notice that it is very bland. It needs art. Of course, it also use a lot of other things like new feats, skills, races classes, and pretty much more of everything. Many suggestions and feedback will also be needed. Do not be shy, contribute anything that you think would help, no matter how small. Just post whatever you have here in the fourm. If it is used in the book or somehow helps it, your name will be put on the credits. When all the content is ready It will be made into a PDF or something so it will be easy to print. Then everyone can enjoy it at home with their friends. note: The Player's handbook and other books are of course copyrighted and all that. I do not want this book to try to replace any of those. So I have avoided reprinting anything from those books. My goal is to have this book dependent on the Player's handbook. So if you have a Player's handbook you can enjoy playing this game. But if you do not, you will find it difficult to understand a lot of the terminology and get lost. Some items in the book will even refrence back to things in the Player's handbook so if you do not have one you will not know what it is talking about. When you submit something make sure it follows these same guidelines. With this in mind I do not think the D&D people would be angry if they saw this. I hope they can see that I am also an avid D&D player and that I would never want to do anything to harm the game. And that they see how I am just an obsessed Starfox fan who would enjoy experiencing a fantasy world based on Starfox with others. Who knows, maybe this game will even make some people pick up a Player's handbook. And no, I am not going to try to sell this or anything. It is completly free to everyone. TakeWalker
I'll tell you why not: there's not a big enough demand for one. But of course, that's never stopped anyone before, so by all means, make one. If you're going to do ship combat, I suggest taking a look at Dragonstar, aka, "D&D in space", not to mention other classic sci-fi systems like GURPS, Star Wars, and I really don't know any others. There are plenty.
