Campaign to save Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie

Hey guys. I know it's been a LONG TIME since I've posted here but I've been at university for a last few years and it's been pretty busy from beginning to end.

There's a campaign currently underway to help save a Nickelodeon film that was cancelled a few years ago. It's called Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie. Any support from Star Fox fans would be greatly appreciated.

Here's some background:

Originally, The Jungle Movie was supposed to be released as the theatrical feature of the Hey Arnold! TV series. A special one-hour episode called "The Journal" was also made to link the series to the movie. However, Nickelodeon decided to cancel the project after the show's creator, Craig Bartlett, decided to leave Nickelodeon for Cartoon Network. Nickelodeon and Paramount currently own the rights to the film and the story. Drafts of the movie were written and developed between 1998-2001 and it's rumored the script is in its 6th or 7th draft.

And that's where this Facebook campaign comes in!

Thousands of people have already joined and they're hoping to get enought support to have the movie put back into production. Again, any support for the campaign would be fantastic and spreading the word would be even better.

Thank you for your time! Catch you all very soon!

Some things are best left canceled. :troll:

Seriously, pretty much anything made after 1989 cartoon-wise is not worth anything. There are exceptions, but Hey Arnold was not one of them. The 70s and 80s were the high-point of cartoons. Since then, not many of value were produced as media conglomeration led to the drive for extreme profitability. Quality was just too expensive to make.

Of course they have to run salt in the wounds by making crap-tastic live-action movies based on those old classics. Now, I've always felt Johnny Quest could make a pretty good action movie, but I fear that the planned JQ movie will also be shit.

I just don't know any more...If it's in it's 6th or 7th draft, and not edited by the actual creator of the show, there is a good chance it will suck.

It's normal for scripts to go through a number of drafts.

If you don't believe me, read the original story for Monsters Inc.

I just watched the 1 hour long episode I had recorded on tape and as I was watching it I guess I just thought the movie came out and I had to go on a quest to find it but now that I know this sad news I feel obligated to making sure Arnold gets reunited with his long-lost parents

Watching this thing always made me want to hit my head against the wall until I bled to dead xD, I dunno, I was never a fan of Nickelodeon. But good luck.
