sniper
so what are your favorite MMOs? Mine are: battlefield heroes runescape (yup, I still play it ) lord of the rings online (just started it, but it's pretty slow so far) Savage 2: a tortured soul (haven't played this one too much yet, but it's pretty cool so far) TF2
LoneWolf
MMO as in RPG or as in online game in general?

Xortberg
Despite the fact that I used to (and, to be quite honest, still do) incessantly make fun of WoW, I play it and have quite a bit of fun with it. Also, TF2.
Sluggsnipa
Whirled. Nuff said, but I might wanna get a trial of WoW. EDIT: I play Halo Custom Edition. But I lost my disc :(
DoctorAllosaurus
I don't think I've ever played any PC game online. I do have Halo: CE, but I haven't even touched the multiplayer yet.
Sabre
Define MMO? I wouldn't class TF2 as a MMO, but then people say Global Agenda isnt a MMO.
sniper
I suppose we should count this as any game that doesn't have a single player (aka you are always playing with many people no matter what)
Xortberg
Define MMO? I wouldn't class TF2 as a MMO, but then people say Global Agenda isnt a MMO. Massively Mulitplayer Online TF2 fits the bill pretty well.
sniper
Yup I would say tf2 fits pretty well cause it's all online all the time (offline practice doesn't really count). I think sabre was just thinking rpg type games.

Xortberg
Eeeew, CoD games I kinda like Black Ops, but only kinda. I played a round of 1v1 with a friend and it was rather fun.
sniper
I wouldn't count CoD as MMOG's... they have a single player and aren't online 100% of the time, but I liked black ops a ton! I thought it was a great game! (I'm not gonna get shot am I? lol)

I thought it was a great game! (I'm not gonna get shot am I? lol) This is why you have to define your terms. Black Ops Multiplayer (on PC) is a seperate exe and install. It shares the same art, but control and graphics settings aren't shared, and when one is installed the other only uses a few mb extra, so I think the maps are installed reguardless. However, to ban Blops, you also have to ban TF2, as that is the same. Instanced multiplayer. CoD at least have a leveling system which TF2 doesn't (or didn't last time I played, but that said it could be a train simulator by this point) TF2 came with HL2 and Portal, both SP, even if you break it out on it's own it has bot matches. Global Agenda, Guild Wars, Star Trek Online and many others are not considered by many to be MMOs because they are mostly instences. Hell, the 100% online requirement technically makes Comand and Conquer 4 and Assassins Creed 2 MMOs due to there DRM system. Kind of crazy. ThePointingMan
Team Fortress 2 and Crysis. For MMORPG's, I used to love runescape, but I hate it just because you can't run forever and I get bored of click walking. Yesterday I tried Mortal Online for the first time, that games pretty cool, it's a first person MMORPG where rather then clicking on something and then watching it fight you have to actually attack block ect in "Real time." You start out hardly being able to do anything, but your skills level up as you do things, so the more you run the faster/ longer you'll be able to run ect. There's no pre made quests in it because it's supposed to be very realistic, you join a guild full of people (no NPC's) and do things with them, rather then an NPC telling you to go out and kill ten slime borgs and bring back their tumor filled hearts for research. It's still really new so there's a lot of glitches ect. Currently imma leave tf2 as my favorite MMO, and Mortal online as my fav MMORPG

Xortberg
DFO's pretty rad. I only played till a little bit after my Priest's first class change where I went Exorcist, and I had a blast with all the earlygame content.
Sabre
Anyone looking forward to firefall? http://www.giantbomb.com/a-cinematic-look-at-firefall/17-3181/ (Im posting the cg trailer because the gameplay trailer looks so early it's barely worth showing.) I was also looking forward to the agency, but it seems to be vaporware.
