Sabre
Checking some old posts I noticed a fair few users who either have deleted accounts, or only posted a couple of times then left. What happened to the old members who got (I assume) perma banned, and where do the single didgit posters go?
sniper
I was wondering the same thing. I came back and a bunch of people are gone :(
Fluxy
I, personally, have been having many life issues around me out here, as well as second set of finals, so my time has been cut up for a while. But I am slowly coming back, Lol. Just have to get all caught up first.

"User"
To? What I meant was is that this happens on every message board. People sign up, may or may not have a sustained interest and then may leave as a result. It's a forum cycle. As to where they go, who knows? Geo Stelar
If I remember correctly, a few (I don't know exactly how many) years back, when Starfox online forums changed from .com to .net, many of the old members suddenly disappeared or never came back. Only a number of them stayed until now. From the past year, many new members also came and go. Butsome of them really stood out in our memories. I don't want to make a list, but I'm sure some of you there know who. Ohand yeah, I am one of the few who registered one month then became active only after 4 months later (I registered Nov.2009 and became active at apr.2010)
DoctorAllosaurus
There's plenty of reasons, some feel as if they don't fit in, some just don't have time anymore, some ragequit... I could go on and on. I used to come and go as I please mostly because I got sick of all the drama, but now I think its safe to say I'm here on a much more permanent basis. Icy
Drama, to me, is non-existent. I just ignore it. ^^ Real life drama, I have none. I don't let real life get in the way of Internet life. (As well as Internet life getting in the way of real life) If something's keeping me busy, I don't make a huge topic with ''drama'' to say I won't be here for maybe years, then come back a day later when it's all back to normal. I registered in early 2009. There was a time that my Internet was out for about 6 months and I didn't visit, obviously. But I've been fairly active ever since I signed up. That was 2 years ago. ^^ People in the last year have left usually due to something personal (which I personally find…rather odd) and either deleted their accounts or just left them and never came back. A lot of them have also left because of the ''drama'' here. (Again, I personally find it rather odd, but I don't mean anything offensive here.) And then there are people who were banned. Not as many but there have been a good few. People with 1-100 posts? They sign up, go on a posting kick (like all new members do on any forum) and then get busy for a few days and can't visit. After they're not busy, they've just…forgotten about the forum. I do that all the time on forums I join. Lately, though, I only join and post if I intend to stay. As to where both types of members go? They don't ''go'', they just forget. People can still be active at the Arwing Landing forums and never remember they used to be active at SFO. It's just a human…thing. They are still doing the things they did, and going to the forums and sites they went to when they signed up, but just without the SFO forums. Because they've forgotten. …Then one day they may do something, read something, or find something that reminds them of SFO, and they come back for another brief period. Or they may stay for a long time. Hard to explain, because there really isn't an explanation. ;)
sjrathbun812
Well, I'm certainly not one of those people. I go here practically every day. Mostly because I have nothing else to do and I just like hanging out here. You can be sure that I probably won't leave this place for a very long time. And I'm happy to add to the Starfox fans here. I actually really like this forum. It has good rules, not many people cuss and when they do it isn't 24-7, and almost everybody here is friendly. :)
LoneWolf
I really don't know, but I do know one thing. I'M HERE TO STAY! But I sure do miss users like DRL (HYPER!), FoXXX, and of course, Mr. Krystal, but he actually gave a reason for leaving.
Steve
I'm mostly to be "Blamed" for those accounts disappearing, I have done a lot of userlist clean up. I normally delete accounts every 6 months or so. People that haven't visited the forum for over 2 years will most likely stay inactive, so I delete those accounts, unless they were really active members. As for the one post folks....well, if I notice they just came here to post once, then left, and are still inactive (as for 3 months or so) I delete said accounts as well. People perma banned still remain perma banned. So basically: 0 post dudes get deleted by inactivity after a range of 1 month. 1 post dudes get deleted by inactivity after a range of 3 months. 1-100 post dudes get deleted by inactivity after 1.5 year or so. Everyone else gets a bigger gap, of course, and I have even sent reminders of this place to people that used to be really active here.
Scott7
Drl Moved over to another site, still posts in his blog every now and then. Though in Steam he told me he left because he was going through some hard times and he got alot more negative responses then positive.Frankly i still think that's why many left... I will say one thing though, despite how strange he was, I still miss FoXXX :(

Though in Steam he told me he left because he was going through some hard times and he got alot more negative responses then positive.Frankly i still think that's why many left... See, with respect to all of that, I still have the belief that although we at SF-O can sympathize with a lot of what members are going through there comes a time when you just have to quit QQing on a message board about RL matters and being overly repetitive about it. It got very annoying quite quickly when most of what members were posting about were how bad their lives were. I sympathize with many of my RL friends and deeply care about their hardships but really...it strikes a nerve with me when it seems to be all they ever talk about. SF-O's primarily function is Star Fox related matters and maybe some on the side stuff - not for personal drama. I will say one thing though, despite how strange he was, I still miss FoXXX I still talk with the guy occasionally and while I know the reasons he left, to me they just seem...counterproductive to his RL situation. :/

DarthDelgado
I left for a couple of months, because I wasn't having good conversations anymore. I came back because I was bored. :)
Gene Inari
Considering I'm from 2006 and only have a few hundred posts, I've done a lot of coming and going from this place. The main reason I kept dropping off the radar was the overall lack of activity, which has obviously changed since the last time I was around.
