Fox P McCloud
Scared you didn't I? Well, it part it is true, Nintendo is definitely not releasing "Star Fox DS". What? WHy would they cancel the game? They didn't, they simply changed the name: The game is now called "Star Fox Command". Quite fitting, actually, considering that this game will feature certain RTS elements in it, and you can "command" your crew to zoom off to certain areas. Also, Nintendo confirmed that Star Fox Command will be produced by "Q Games", thus keeping with the Star Fox tradition of "the same company can't work on a Star Fox game twice". The good news about this, however, is that Q Games is composed of many Argonaut employees, who, as many of us know, are the creators of the very original and loved, Star Fox. Lastly, Nintendo confirmed the release date of August 28th, 2006. While this date could still get pushed back, it leaves us all with a little more security that that date probably will be the final release. EvolutionSFox
LOL, YOU SCARED ME TO DEATH! But that's awesome! You can actually command your wingmen? That's an excellent addition to this game, which already looks very awesome! Star Fox Command is very catchy, a tad dull, but more catchy. I can't wait until August 28! *dies of impatientness*
Sol-Ratcht Saporro
^I don't believe that was the release date. I think it was something like September 25th. But, I was not scared! HAH! I was terrified...... None-the less, the name change is cute! .....what?

Mr. Krystal
I resent you toying with my emotions, Fox P. McCloud. Nice new info, where'd you hear all this?
Blaz3
I swear, I almost had a heart attack and was ready to cry when I saw this topic. Command, nice name, hope it has a decent storyline and the characters aren't as bad as they were in assault. Thanks for the news by the way, after you scared the *something* out of me. EDIT: Oh and thinking about it, wouldn't it be great if you got voice commands? I mean DS does have a mic, and it works pretty damn well with Nintendogs so why not with Star Fox Command? Wouldn't it be cool telling fellow crew members what to do? like, all you need to do is say, "take the left!" and somebody will head down the left side to clear enemies over there, I think it would work best if you said a command, then the DS interprets it and Fox tells the team what to do, the voice commands just activate his commands, Anybody? Fox P McCloud
This information can be found at www.nintendo.com I hope they change a few more names, for example, each of the ships has a name, Fox's is "firefox", in my opinion, this just doesn't fit or work. "Arwing" fits perfectly, and that's the only name I'll accept. also "Sky Bunny" sounds just plain cheesey...
Inuyasha
Names are never too good at first. Halo was originally named "Blam." XD At least, that was the "codename." -Inuyasha
Four-eyed Vulpine
Heheh, you let me know about this before I saw this topic, then I see the title and am like, "I wonder how many people have cried/passed out/committed suicide." Good stuff.

Titles like "FireFox" just seem to be personal names for each individual Arwing, as there are probably differences among them. Being cheesey is a part of StarFox. Embrace it! Inuyasha
Console codenames are usually much better than the final name. It's usually the opposite for games, though. XBox 360 was originally "Xenon," if I remember correctly. Much cooler if you ask me. -Inuyasha
Blaz3
^ Yeah, that does sound cooler. Oh and I know that DS was originally called the Nitro (I like DS better) uuhh oh! Halo was originally called something like Blam, Gamecube was originally the Dolphin (Eeeeewww) the Nintendo 64 went through a lot of names, Project reality, turbo 64 and then finally nintendo 64. And yeah, I think that's about all I can remember at the moment.
