Star Fox Runner
Seeing how the titles for the 3DS that I want aren't coming out until summer, I've been taking a look at PilotWings Resort. I've never played this series, (Though I did pick up PilotWings 64 to try it out yesterday.) but it looks like it could be an interesting game, and a good way to break in the 3DS on launch day. Anybody else getting this?
Sabre
No. Pilot wings was a game of it's time. A great Snes game, but even on N64 it felt dated. When you get good you can make the instructor react in weird ways by getting a perfect score. Also the cheats for the combat levels were popular, as was the secret penguin level and the hillarious black outline when you slam a skydiver into the ground. If you have a SNES emulator it's worth giving a go and sampling some awesome Mode 7, I seriously dount it can hold up today unless they make it super casual. Guest Mr. Nintendo
Pilotwings Resort? More like a abanded mini-game from Wii Sports Resort!! I'm not getting this, Pilotwings 64 is good enough for me.
DoctorAllosaurus
I'm pretty terrible at the original Pilotwings, but I might check this out when it gets really cheap. I just hope its not one of those games that makes me throw up.
DZComposer
Pilotwings was a good game in it's time. If they can keep the formula working, I could care less if they turned it into a Mii game. If they made it a super-easy shovelware game, then I have a problem with it. I don't dislike the Miis. I think avatars like that have some neat uses. I just think Nintendo has gotten a little too casual with them at times.
Star Fox Runner
Well, Eurogamer gave it a pretty good review. And that's pushing me further toward buying it. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-03-02-pilotwings-resort-review I'm not really expecting it to be a game I'll play constantly for years and years, but as a good way to ease me into the 3DS, and maybe use it as a time waster like I do with BrainAge's sudoku puzzles on certain days.
