From what you're saying, a person could be a furry by being big fan of Fox McCloud and Falco Lambardi(alone). (More of a Pokefur though, but to me, despite other expainations on the 'net, Furrys and Pokefurs are pretty much in the same "category", but i dont want to get in a full-blown arguement about it so yeah.)
