So this thread idea is coming back, eh? :D. There used to be a thread in the Rec Room dedicated to this, but it's always good to start anew! :D

I demand an explanation as to why you don't have Aero turned on.

Performance issues. I just like to keep my comp as fast as possible without an OverClock, which I am going to do eventually.

Dell XPS M1530

-300GB Hard Drive

-4GB RAM

-256MB GeForce 8600m GT

-Dual Core Intel T8100 @ 2.10 GhZ each

-1400x900 720p Backlit Display

-Windows 7 Professional

With an additional 1400x900 Display.

I like to run my games on max settings.

You could turn Aero off whenever you run certain programs like games by right-clicking its shortcut and disabling desktop composition. I can't imagine using Windows 7 and not using Aero :P And anyway, your hardware should be able to run everything without performance loss.

No, not really. I disable Aero for a reason. It's a noticeable performance boost. But I wish I could, all those completely useless but shiny features are cool.

I'm on a laptop, so it's difficult to overclock. Disabling useless features helps a lot.
