Well that's the problem, if I try to copy the folder, it doesn't copy at all. It gives me the results with contains alot of zeros. :-/

Yes, if you can't read, you can't copy. It's really that simple.

Read access = copy access

They're mutually inclusive.

Anyway, you haven't answered my question yet: can you open stuff in the folder directly? (i.e "C:documents and settingsHP_ArgenMy Documents<someFile>")

(i.e "C:documents and settingsHP_ArgenMy Documents<someFile>")

I can't open the My Documents folder inside HP_Ägaren but i can open the files inside HP_Ägaren, not that those files are worth anything... >_>

I know you can't open the folder itself, but have you tried to type a path to one of the files INSIDE it directly? This'd require you to remember one of the filenames, but it'd indicate something altogether VERY strange if you could.

For the record, can you open everything within HP_Argen EXCEPT the My Documents folder, or are there other inaccessible things?

Well that's another problem, the folder doesn't register any files. It keeps flashing 0 Kb and 0 Files/Folders, so there's nothing to see there. And i can't access a single folder inside HP_Ägaren either. >_>

  • 4 weeks later...

If you're still having problems, I've got another idea. A bit on the hacking side, though.

First, go here and download whichever one cooresponds to you.

Now, open up command prompt. Tpe in "shutdown -a", without the quotes, but don't press enter. Leave it up.

Now, use the process explorer you just downloaded. Tell it to kill a process called "lsass.exe."

Now, your system should try to shut down. Go back to the command prompt and press enter to abort it.

And there. You'll now be running as <unkown> user, which's spaztic. You'll either have Full Control to stuff or no access at all. Oh, and it's a bit random, so there's stuff you couldn't get to before that'll be accessible, and stuff you could get to before that you can't access.

Strange, but it could help.

Heh, that's ok. ^_^ I got it to work about two weeks after my last post here. I checked the problem out in the Windows support, the security tab was hidden apparently because i had Basic security activated. >_> But thanks for the help anyways. :)

Ah...that possibility...how DO you disable that, anyway? I've got a friend who also doesn't have Security tabs, and he'd like to play with them....for reasons... >.>

I'd still recommend downloading the process explorer. Very useful for figuring out which processes come from where and if they're at all useful.
