Enemy mothership approaching!

I got SF64 on the Wii *ages* ago, at least a couple years. Being a Nintendo fanboy at the time, I had virtually no shooter experience, and couldn't even beat it (if I had known just how much easier Macbeth was than Titania then maybe... anyways...). I remembered it about a couple weeks ago, and dominated it, getting every medal. The only ones that really gave me trouble medal-wise were Sectors Y and Z. I did some research on the other games, and I'm thinking of getting an SNES and the original off of eBay, and I'm definitely getting the 3DS remake of 64 when it releases (got the console yesterday). I love the game for its memorable quotes (though whether they were meant to be memorable is questionable), spontaneous level design, a high score system exponentially increasing replay value, multiple ways to do things (I personally prefer somersaults over u-turns when being chased, even outside of all-range mode), branching levels and world map, and being one of the few series out there that the story is obviously built around the gameplay, and not vice-versa.

Welcome to SF-O! Have fun, and get ready to see many different personalities and people. :D

I may have been here barely over 2 weeks, but I know everything that goes on around here.

Yes, Zim, I am lying.

All joking aside. Welcome.

Welcome aboard. None of the levels are that difficult once you memorize the levels.

Hey, welcome man. SF64 was probably the best of the starfox games. I remember doing the wrong side of venom and constantly being blown up, but after quite a few trys I beat it.....I was like...6...7....or 8 maybe? It was a VERY long time ago.

By wrong, do you mean the one with the Andross android, or the one that was wrong for a 6 year old to be able to beat with standard lasers?

Welcome to SFO! Enjoy your stay.

But I will warn you, I don't consider someone a true fan until they play Star Fox Adventures. In fact, I don't consider them a true video game fan until they do that.

J/k of course, but that is (unbiased) one of the best games ever made. ^^
