StarFoxfan-FUR_ever
I agree that this is a great idea. However DZ, you said you were going to get rid of all pre-2010 files? I'm a little confused what you mean by that. As "WXfox4God" just said, are you getting rid of the music files and photos and what-not? Or are you simply re-uploading them once the site is reorganized and starts working properly?
DZComposer
No. I said posts, IE front page articles. The music and voice acting files are still there. I was planning on getting that stuff back on the site proper today, but that may not happen. I ran into some complications with the gallery system (you may have noticed the database errors). You should still be able to listen to the music at http://jukebox.starfox-online.net In the end, jukebox may become obsolete (ip.content has built-in media handlers), but for now, you can get the music there. DZComposer
I made some significant progress on the main site. I am going with a 3-column layout. Primary navigation is on the left side, like before, and will be in a similar order when finished. Content goes in the middle. Extra nav and other things like top posts or whatever will go on the right. I am going for a clean look, leaning towards utilitarian, but not totally bland. Too many sites are "fluffy" and have wacky layouts and moving shit. I like straightforward things. If you have any suggestions for the look-and-feel, now is the time. IP.Content ended up being more of a framework than a full CMS, meaning I have to write a lot of stuff manually, but it is well-featured and I think in the end the site will be better-off with the integrated feel. I have the Star Fox Game game pages back up now. Tomorrow I will focus on getting the media files going. IP.Content supports media databases. I think this will make things better, as it will be searchable. But, we have over 1000 media files. That means lots of data entry. Whee...
