Come out of the stables? THAT IS THE MOST GENIUS THING I'VE EVER HEARD.

Why thank you, I had to sit and think up a suitable phrase! :3

Bunch of stuff I thought up that I reckoned I should write down

If D&D classes were MLP character;

Barbarian = Gilda

Bard = Octavia

Cleric = Nurse Redheart

Druid = FlutterShy

Fighter = AppleJack

Paladin = Rarity

Rogue = Nyx

Sorcerer = Trixie

Wizard = Twilight

Random Memes assotiated with characters

FlutterShy = *Takes deep breath* yay...

RainbowDash = 20% cooler in 10 seconds flat

Rarity = *Slips into bed making awkward noises*

Twilight = *Squeegee noise*

Pinky Pie = And that's how Equestra was made

AppleJack = Apples

Luna = in Socks

Celestia = Too the MOON

Derpy = Muffins

Applebloom = Exclamation Point, Question Mark, Exclamation Point, Question Mark

If TF2 Classes were MLP Characters

Rarity would Obviously be the Heavy.

Rainbow Dash = Scout

Twilight = Engineer

Fluttershy = Medic

Pinkie Pie = Spy

Applejack = Sniper

Spike = Solider

I would think applejack as the heavey. cause she is Bold, and tough.

The FiM character to TF2 class idea is generally accepted as this:

Twilight - Sniper

Rarity - Spy

Apple Jack - Engineer

Rainbow Dash - Scout

Fluttershy - Medic

Pinkie - Pyro

Spike - Soldier

Big Macintosh - Heavy

Zecora - Demoman

I thought once that I knew what "epic" meant.

I know now I was wrong.

At first it was bad, adding different music to the intro.

BUT NEXT WAS JUST KICKASS!!!!!!

I'm making a PMV using flash. Using this song because the Brony Legion needs more love.

Season 2

Will

Be

Awesome

Also, someone needs to make some fan art with a pony Christopher Walken declaring that "It Needs More Pony".

I reckon season 2 will ruin it all.

Not only are they gonna make it more boyish, there is so much MLP fandom that you couldn't possibly not cause harm to it and get fans angry because Ditzy Doo is a purple peguses who doesn't deliver mail or something.

Anyway, it'll be fun to see how this craze handles the test of time. I should get around to writing that poem, it's called "The last Brony" and I guess you can tell what it's about.

I bet it'll be even better than Season 1. :P

Because most shows seem to be the best around the 2-3 seasons.

Well think about it; MLP was originally targeted at girls right? That means that people who like MLP like girly stuff. But because, due to some twisted act of the gods, many many fans are male, Season 2 will be made for boys. Which means, more male characters, more violence, more robots, more aliens, and more pirates.

You're... you're not being serious right? :/

That's not going to happen. Besides maybe the more male characters part.

It all depends on the mental stability of the producers.

One of my friends mentioned something about there being a main villain, as in one that lasts longer than 1 episode.

Hey, I wonder if MLP will be the new Startreck, even after several decades people will still be major fans.

That could be nice, but I'm sure it won't be an alien, pirate, or ninja. :P

Aliens - ok, that's a stretch

Pirates - it's in approximately the right era so you never know

Ninja - That would be cool

It'll probably be someone like Gilda or Trixie. Heck, they should just skip the character development process and make it Trixie.

Well think about it; MLP was originally targeted at girls right? That means that people who like MLP like girly stuff.

Not at all, really. You're saying they like girly stuff, and yes; they like MLP. But that's using a single instance to decide their entire behavior and assuming one quality about that instance is the reason. Look at Vydrach. He collects guns and knives and likes AVP. You gonna say he likes girly stuff and leave it at that? For the most part, MLP fans are fans of animation and writing. We stumbled upon it by some insane stroke of fortune, nothing more.

But because, due to some twisted act of the gods, many many fans are male, Season 2 will be made for boys.

No it will not >_> Lauren Faust may not be heading the show, but it wasn't just Faust that made this show good. It was the entire team, and I'm sure the people who brought us ponies are not stupid. There's really no logic behind this, IMO. Men like a show, so the developers change it completely so they'll like it? Why would they do that? They wouldn't.

Which means, more male characters, more violence, more robots, more aliens, and more pirates.

Now that's just foolish. More male characters, maybe, but that's hardly a problem. More violence? Not a chance. Even if the biggest demographic is males and they did want to pander to us with violence, they wouldn't; MLP is far too ingrained as a girls show, and there's no way they'd go against the mold so completely. And that's assuming the team was stupid enough to think the same people who love a show where pretty pastel ponies try on dresses and sing and dance and learn about friendship want to see them fighting. It's not going to happen.

That's not to say, of course, season two carries no risk of failure. Season one is a hell of a lot to live up to, and they are pandering to us, if even a little bit, by giving us nods in their promotionals and such and making Derpy canon. That's a risk in and of itself. But if the series does go south, it's not going to be for something stupid like adding violence because of gender stereotypes. This show has blasted gender stereotypes with a fucking nuke, not reinforced them.

Producers of these sorts of shows aren't particularly famous for their logic. Producers are the real killers of shows, either because they force the creators to do something stupid or because they simply pull the plug.

It's all capitalistic politics.

Also the violence seems to be happening, especially in the later episodes. The wild-west episode had a full on war scene. (Ok, maybe not full on, but it was still a massive fight)

It'll probably be violence, but REALLY toned down violence.

As for ninjas and pirates. The whole point of MLP: FiM was just really deep advertising for the toy-line. So they might have characters characters targeted at males, then make toys for it. (If I found out they were selling Mort figurines I would rush out and buy one RIGHT NOW)

Yeah, you almost had a point there until you started pulling politics into it. Politics have nothing to do with whether a show is good or not. In any case, it wouldn't be the development team doing any of that business you're rattling about. It'd be Hasbro, and if they were going to do that crap they'd have started by forcing the episodes off Youtube. In any case, nope.

And in the second episode Rarity kicked a manticore in the fucking face. Epic stuff. And in Dragonshy Rainbow Dash kicked a dragon in the mouth. Not to mention Twilight got turned to stone and in a later scene a snail was crawling on her eyeball. They've already delved deep into the toned down violence, long before bronies started having noticeable impacts, and they did so with aplomb.

The point of MLP was advertising. The point of FiM was to change the way people viewed a little girl's cartoon series. There's talent behind it, and it shows no signs of sabotaging its own show like you're suggesting.

Not Politics. I meant Capitalistic Politics as in money, corporations, and business deals. And I know everything is going to turn to shit because good things never last this long.

Anyway I'm only going by what I've heard and seen, you've probably done a hella lot more research into the subject because you're... well... You're Xort.

Eh, wordplay is my downfall I suppose. But while I agree it won't last forever, I'd definitely give it more than one season before it's run into the ground. I'm an optimist.

I don't really do research so much as I blow hot air that I like to pretend is logical :P People seem to agree with me, so I suppose that's something there.
