Well, if there's something about the season finale I didn't like, it's how Twilight handled the whole evil Cadence thing. Her exposition made her look like the nicest pony ever but that all seemed to drop when Chrysalis!Cadence showed up and started acting like a bitch. It's as if she forgot about Cadence. I think Twilight should've suspected that the Cadence that appeared wasn't the real Cadence. If anything, that would've made her banishment to the caves more sense since, well, she knows too much. That's my only complaint to an otherwise awesome season finale (except for the ear worms that are This Day Aria and BBBFF.

Evil Cadence : "... F***! My cover has been blown. CHANGELINGS!!"

And then shit happened. And it was awesome.

So far we've seen four, though one of them hasn't been royalty. I think the royalty is actually hereditary since Blueblood is a prince, despite not being an alicorn, just simply Celestia/Luna's great-great-great-great-great-great-so on and so fourth- nephew, and I imagine the same is true with Cadence as she's Celestia's neice, and I doubt she's Luna's daughter.

And Pluto was an alicorn and shown to be treated normal.

All pony is best pony.

My best pony goes by a episode by episode, situation by situation, scene by scene basis. This also includes background ponies, as, excluding Sapphire Shores, Silver Spoon, Diamond Tiara, Jetset, and Uppercrust, I love 'em all equally.

I prefer Twilight Sparkle if only for her status as a red mage and her OCD tendencies. Rarity's overreaction is priceless. Pinkie... It's hard to hate her. Her first outing dropped her to #6 and she went back there at the end of Bridle Gossip (Do NOT force her to shut up) but when she weaponized her avalanche of words, I was actually impressed. Her random bouts are eyebrow-raisingly interresting at the very least.

O' Donnel, I'm not that afraid to say that I need to put Applejack at the bottom of the mane 6 list. I have a hard time remembering interesting things about her.

Villain wise, Discord is on top due to effectiveness. He could've conquered Equestria had he not been so overconfident. I would've cut Celestia's contact to Twilight by playing to Spike's greed (that's how dragons become adults according to secret of my excess) and lured out Luna and have her become Nightmare Moon again (if what I heard about Discord being aware of his time as a statue is true.) Chrysalis is second because she managed to infiltrate a guarded city and almost had Twilight get rid of the real Cadence with mind games again.

Don't forget that Chrysalis could also of ruled all of Equestria if she hadn't of made two mistakes due to confidence. The first was she had the capability of porting Cadence away again, but chose not to. And second, she excused all of her changeling guards, who could of kept Cadence from Shining Armour. If she hadn't of done either of these, she was more powerful than Celestia at that point, so it's not like anyone could of challenged her, except maybe for a Twilight that completely lost control (and even then we don't know if Twilight would be more powerful than Celestia in that state).

And Chrysalis is my favourite villain simply because she actually is a villain. Discord isn't particularly villainous, he's just Equestria's largest, most powerful troll out to have a good time, and you can either have fun with him, or not. Either way, he's gonna have fun.

Secondly, I had a rather interesting conversation with a friend of mine.

Namely, a while ago I got into a conversation with them about whether the kainde amedha, the creatures from the Aliens and Aliens vs. Predator series, could be considered evil. Most people say yes because they violently kill people. However, people that think too hard about such things point out that they aren't doing it out of malice or cruelty, but simply survival. It may be violent, but that's how their species reproduce, thrive, and survive.

Same could be said of the changelings. Granted the Canterlot fiasco was still evil because it was born out of pride and malice, but the species as a whole couldn't really be considered evil. If they take the form of somepony someone loves, and deceives them to feed off of it, could that really be considered "evil." Granted the changeling probably would enjoy doing it, but bottom line is it's still a matter of survival, do or die.
