fox1235
I found this wikipedia article about these "domesticated" foxes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domesticated_Silver_Fox Even though it would be pretty cool to own a pet fox I bet these ones are really that tamed yet and still have there predetor instincts. It took thousands of years to domesticate the average dog, this project is 50 years old and was originally started by the USSR.

ThePointingMan
Feel free to trust it here, They've said this in the National geographic, and a while back we actually had a topic about this before, I'm not sure weather they had succeeded yet in that one though. Also it's I'm fairly certain it's legal in the U.S. but you need a special license. I could be wrong of course, but fairly certain where I live it's legal (Canada). Nope, though some states have laws against "exotic pets", others will allow the purchase of anything you want, including foxes (not that I encourage it). Really, domestication of foxes doesn't make much sense IMO, just leave nature alone; we've already got domesticated dogs!

El Zorro de la Estrella
Nah, you can't keep a wild adult Fox, and I WOULD NOT feel right AT ALL about taking a kit. That is just WRONG. Also, Fennecs are only found in the wild in the Sahara Desert. BUT, there are specialized breeders all over. I gots lists! Also: Hell yes, Long Live Minnesota! El Zorro de la Estrella
It's stupid that a lot of places make hedgehogs illegal? Why, do they think they'll run at Sonic speeds and destroy everything? lol Most likely due to the fact they'd be an invasive species and disrupt the local ecosystem of the state/country. Animals that are invasive species can DESTROY ecosystems. Case in point: Rabbits in Australia. They're EVERYWHERE and have no natural preadtors there. Thus they are eating all the food and causing local species to die/go extinct. Also, they DESTROY crops.
