well, this information is just in:

Evidentally, Peppy is, in fact, General now. The female frog, is, for sure, Slippy's girlfiend...and that's about it.

Either Pepper died/retired from his dictatorship....or General Pepper isn't dictator, and he got bumped to some higher position in the Conerian military.

Hopefully we can find out some more information on the Fox and Krystal screen later....

Ooh, that's actually an interesting read, if you can make it out.

From what I gather, it seems that Star Fox has...broken up?! Everybody's on their own (which may explain the Krystal pic), but there's a new threat besides/from Venom (can't make that out) and has already taken one of the colonies, so the team must reunite in order to fight back the new menace.

...Surprisingly deep from a Star Fox storyline. Still shows that they love pushing time forward too much, though.

It's alot more similar to SF2 then, right? In SF2 weren't Miyu and Fay part of some sort of Star Fox team themself that was broken up? I don't know what I'm talking about, it's just cool.

I know nothing about SF2, other than it was pretty cool.

On a second read, it mentions that...

Fox is the only one who keeps fighting (he's seen with ROB, so maybe a Great Fox wannabe?)

Falco's flying his own missions, so it's possible he's rejoined Katt's gang.

Slippy's got a girlfriend (I think her name is Todo), so he may or may not be fighting.

And (here's the kicker) Krystal left Fox and no one knows where she is. Of course, we saw her in the Demo, so we know she shows up, but...

So, despite the cartoony style, it seems the story's a little darker than before. Nice.

How did you get that much? I could barely understand it...And how could Krystal leave Fox? They were never together! Ah, so confused!

Well I'm not crazy about the team totally breaking up, as well as the big time gap...although I didn't see any specific number of years. Man, I gotta play this game. I hope all this dark stuff is resolved...

Hmm... This new info makes it seem like this game is a dark time for the series.

Recap:

Appearently, the team has split up. (this explains the different ships)

Peppy is now a high-ranking General in the CDF, though nothing is flat-out saying he replaced Pepper, I'd say it is highly likely

Krystal appearently left

Slippy left with his new girl

Falco went on his own again

Star Wolf now has bounties on their heads. Them being wanted is nothing new. The documents for SFAS mentioned that.

The villian is some kind of weird frog thing

Supports DS Rumble Pack (does that exsist stateside yet? I knew of a GBA one but not a DS one)

Supports WFC

My SPECULATION:

It seems as though you start out as Fox and meet up with your old pals (and some new ones) as the game progresses.

I've also got a feeling t hat some bad things are going to happen to some of the characters.

Sadly, I have a feeling that this game is either ending the Star Fox series or sets up a Wii SF game, should one exsist, to end the series.

Hopefully, we'll get some English-Language info this week.

"The member discovered respectively new life, there is no the team gathering." = the team's split up to start a new life.

" Among such, newer enemy than planetary [benomu] appears, immediately occupies the civilization city of [rairatsuto] type. In order to fight with the enemy of this puzzle, fox Macleod of the protagonist one person was to stand up ......." = A new enemy's arisen and is quickly taking over the Lylat system. As for now, Fox is the only one to stand up against (indicating that the others have either been captured and require rescuing, or have lost the will to fight and need recruiting).

Fox: "Furthermore [Fox] even now, one person it continues to fight."

= Even though the others have left, Fox continues to fight (makes sense, he was the only one playable in the demo).

Krystal: "[Krystal] which swears the fox and future [can see the future?] has become the whereabouts unclear." = Sounds like she's left, alright.

Peppy: "[pepihea] getting off the fighter plane, devotes to General job." = Obvious.

Slippy: "Preferring [suritsupi] [todo] the life of the sweetheart." = He's left to cockpit to start a family (the girlfriend's not Todo, it's an Engrished Toad).

Falco: "[huaruko] [ranbarudei] has flown about space every place." = He's a wanderer, and since the screens show him flying with another ship, he's probably joined another gang. That ship looks a lot like the Sky Bunny or Cat's Paw...

EDIT: Another thing...

"Vibration pack correspondence and [nintendo] Wi-Fi connection correspondence" = Wifi re-confirmed, and a new Rumble Pack.

Wow, DZ, I didn't want to say anything earlier (for fear of my ideas being viewed as anti-Star Fox), but I had the same exact ideas running through my head when I was reading all this information...

Also, some text alludes to the fact that the relationship between Fox and Krystal may not be going well..

If this truly is the end of the Star Fox series, the let it go out with a boisterous bang!

No, not the end. What happens is this enemy attacks, Fox gets the gang back together, they kill the dude. Also I heard a rumor of a Star Fox Wii already in production.

Mr Miyamoto talked about doing one but he's not doing it at present. He's still got other commitments.

The DS rumble pack was released with Metroid Prime: Pinball....it's basically a GBA cartridge with a motor inside it...the DS recognizes it as a expansion or something similar.

If you don't feel like buying the rumble pack, you can head on over to Nintendo's store at www.nintendo.com and buy one.

edit: I'm hoping Star Fox Command will come with the rumble pack...it is a much more fitting game for such an accessories (come on, look at SF64). In my opinion, it should have been the game to first showcase the rumble pack...

Would have been good since SF64 was the first game to feature a rumble device.

Well from my speculation the whole article is a bit hard to read, its like reading something while drunk you can make out some parts but not all of em.

Neat! A deep storyline!

I wouldn't think it'd be the end. It's been alive too long to just give it up now. Besides, these are teasers: they don't reveal the FULL story, just the basic stuff we'll probably get in a beginning cutscene.

There just giving us a small preview.

I got a friend from a music forum to translate the caption talking about Krystal and Fox:

He said that it essentially says "Krystal, who promised to spend her life with Fox, has left and no one knows where she is."

It's not a direct translation, it is taken in context. Just that caption says: "It is not know where Krystal, who promised to spend her life with Fox, is."

sheesh, I hope nintendo won´t think on killing this great story, I have been a fan of starfox since the SNES, they can´t finish it....

well the game is like some sort of strategy+ plus space fighting thingy, seems very interesting, but I have my doubts about the flying controls ^_^

The problem with the series is that the characters are aging fast, mainly thanks to the story guys ar Rare who decided that 8 years should be the time gap between SF64 and SFAD.

Plus, in Lylat, once you hit 40, you're an old fart.

I think they may end the story soon. Of course that doesn't mean they can't go back in time for future games and make prequels.

I agree with the time gaps. I mean, one game Fox is roughly my age, and now he's approaching his thirties! I'd rather they be ageless like Mario, or they just stay one age. Story wise, I'm not much for prequels, I'd rather keep moving forward. I'm really having trouble believing they'd end the series just because the characters are getting older and the story's different, but this could still be a turning point.

yeah, it just depends on what Nintendo wants to do with the series...perhaps they really do feel they should wrap this game up? I hope not, but things have been looking grim for Star Fox ever since Star Fox Adventures waned in popularity.

If the series ends, I figure it'll end in one of two ways: the death of Fox, or and official disbanding of the Star Fox team.

I prefer it to not be the death of Fox...though that would be a near perfect way to wrap up the series, in my opion. Not that I'd like it or anything...

I don't recall Adventures being unpopular...but I seriously doubt they'll end the series. It's just...not something I imagine Nintendo doing. I mean, where does this sudenly come up? I don't want this to become a wide spread rumor...

Death of Fox or disbanding of the team...again, I really don't see such things happening. I know this story is supposedly dark, but even so...

Yet they continue advancing the story. At this rate, everybody's going to have to retire or die of old age. And Star Fox just isn't the same without Fox, Falco, Slippy, and (now to a lesser extent) Peppy. It's like F-Zero without Captain Falcon.
