The legs look really short, but if this is your first try, so yeah. It does look pretty good.

Yup, Missed quite a few bones and realized it a bit too late so I had to keep going or else i wouldn't have been able to get the gift to him.

Not going to give details as to what for, buuuut yeah. I'm strumming up new ideas for comics. I don't like the color of her fur being that way for her as the main character; It just looks so dull, and well, yeah. I also know I didn't put much work in the overall coloring/shading aspect. Ovell~

This is all subject to change, and maybe it'd be better if her eye was open, I dunno, I dun care XD

So yeah, much love, and hope you guys like it!

You've got some pretty nice sketches, here! And your coloring, that is great. You color volumes better than I will ever be able to.

Lol, thanks! Sorry for not getting to this sooner! Life's fun and works in odd ways with how often my mind can think to come back here, heh. Thanks again though.

My friend Bri is going through some hard stuff, and it really downs me to see her upset, so I decided to do some traditional art for her, seeing as she really likes that more so than Digital art [Even though she does both, and both astoundingly better than me!] Either way, here it is. I wish for a better Scanner soon. It'd be super niiiiiiice. [i also want my inking set back. That'd help with the loss of quality. Blarg]

I also have been slowly working on a new profile picture, and character piece for a feral version of one of my characters. If you have me on FB or Skype, you'll have seen it already, but I might as well post it here too.

I have a lot more I could put up, but I won't just for the sake of not flooding my thread with only sketches. Hope you guys like these.

I'm quite impressed, Fluxy; your art seems to get better and better each day! :D. If you eventually do obtain a scanner I'd love to see a combination of your pencil and digital artwork; that would be incredible. :friends:

Thanks, guys! It's been a while since I've done traditional art, so I am glad this one turned out alright with the effort I put into it!

And yeah, I do that sorta eye style when I do digital art work; Tends to be my usual thing, heh. At least lately anyway.

So I've been doing a lot of art lately, and did a secret santa. Sadly, due to issues, I had to rush the final product really fast for it to be on time. It really made me sad because I found a few cool things I coulda done to make it even better [For those who don't understand non-pony; I know how to make it 20% cooler].

So this is the traditional idea sketch, which I ended up having to scan.

And the very rushed final image.

I still have much more art to do, sadly, cause it is really tiring me out with how much I am actually doing. I think I am gonna take a small hiatus at the begining of the new year.

So merry chrsitmas to all those who celebrate, and happy holidays who don't; Hope you had a good one, and enjoy time with your family, which I hope you have some time with!

See ya next year! [since I'm probably gonna be a bit too busy for me to focus and come here after the next day or so]

Regardless of whether it was "rushed" or not, it still looks great! Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas to you as well, and I, as well as the entire community, await your full return in the new year. :friends:

You know, Everyday I sketch, an everyday I look down at it in a slight confusion. I don't know if I am really getting better in this past month. It makes me sad, to be honest. Sorta like I wasted my childhood on, well... Video games. There are so many artists here that are much younger than me; Like sixteen and seventeen, and they already have so much more talent. I'm almost nineteen, and still am sitting where I am. It really brings me down, I have to admit. Of course I'll get better, and I'll be good one day; But at that point, I dunno. I feel I'll be still left behind and in the dust with the main stream skill level. The level that makes you not just good, but great, you know?

I mean, sure. Some people will say, "I can't even draw what you do, STFU!" but still. I've been left in the dust in almost everything I do by friends, and even with art I am. I don't wanna be just as good as my friends; I wanna be 'Great', to where my ma won't just say, "Oh, nice" and I can make those really close to me sorta, well, proud or excited to see my art. Something I could do that'd make me more so unique. I can't say I really am to many of my friends, and I'd mean a lot if I could.

I guess this could sorta be seen as something juvenile, but it's me being honest on what I want, and how I feel. I'm still working harder every day, if not, every other day, to be better with my art. I might not have my dream of being able to have a comic started before I am 20 that I can say was 'A life work' cause you can't get everything you want in life. But I'm still working to do my damnest to be the best I can be.

My new year's resolution is to be a bit more open with my feelings, take a bit more hold of my life, and make sure I give myself and my art the best chance at a great future.

Too all those that read this, thanks for listening to my rant, and I'm sorry I don't have any festive art for you. I hope that at the end of 2012, that I can succeed in making jaw dropping art. Thanks for reading.

Actually Fluxy, I've felt like that a lot too. You just have to trust that you'll get better, because you really don't know what the future holds for you. It may be that you'll be a great artist some day, but these things take a lot of time and practice. Sometimes I've wondered if I'll ever get past the point where I am right now in art, and I've thought, "What if I never get any better than this?"

But, that's rather off putting to think about. So I do my best to shrug it off, and be thankful at how far I've come over the years.

So, more WIPs from me as it has been a while since I posted anything and I feel I should post my Tablet works since I am far too lazy to scan my traditional sketches.

Be gentle, the anatomy is off, and it is side view again, but oh well. I plan on tweaking it anyways.

Mieratruewip-1.jpg

It's an art trade with my pal Miera. She gave me her end long ago and I've put it off for far too long. Her Fursona and her Boyfriend's fursona. Still needs tweaking before I do the final product, but I felt this was good enough to pass as a post-able WIP.

Also, I've been brain storming some ideas for something I wanna -sorta- bring back up again. I won't say it, just to not make it seem like I say something, and not go through with it, but I hope this to bring me into more postings and just, more art in my life. So yeah, If I go through with it, It'd be within the next two weeks or so. I'll make sure to keep all ya updated!

^ Great job, Fluxy; I love how you never stick with one distinct pose and, regardless of how you think your anatomy is, you always mix things up. Personally I like the picture above; from the expressions alone you can sense a sort of camaraderie between the two subjects.

In short talk, I LIEK IT!

Oh my gosh that is awesome! I absolutely love that expression, not to mention the look of confidence and overall fluffy look. That stuffed bear, while potentially creepy, comes off fairly adorable as well. Nice work! ^_^

Realism. I've deemed that I'm not the most patient with this, and you know what, I just can't see myself working on this picture much longer. All done with a simple Mechanical Pencil. Woulda been much easier for me to do with charcoal, and probably'd look better, but yeah. Not all the best details are shown through my shitty web cam.

Shading has always been my mortal enemy; the little I do actually draw never looks right with shading added IMO. Needless to say, you've done a great job; the blending is remarkable! :)

Thanks Crazy and Cat! [ZOMG U FINIALLY COMMENT ON MY SECTZIONSFJ EKJ GFLDIJ ]

Either way, I worked on my realism sphere, and am hoping it is at least a C- now. Since I'm unable to go back to the studio, I can't see it and adjust it correctly, so I worked it to my best ability.

It's not great by any means, but I don't care, I have three other projects to work on before Friday.

What does make me sad though, is I tried to draw a fox or just, anything like I used to be able to, and I couldn't. It's making me slightly depressed, to be honest. I mean, it's great I'm learning a good foundation, but now I'm not able to really draw the things I really like. Just me stuff though.
