Fluxy
Sooooo, yeah. More work left, sure enough. ;_; I just want a fricken C. Hell, Even a C-. I got a lot left out of this project to do, but this is how it looks so far. I should be able to finish it to the extent I can within the next few hours. I hope at least. I already tarnished the paper to the point where I'm not sure if I can get to fun with the details. Gah the stress this class causes though! CrypticQuery
Haha! That's pretty awesome; I love the "dirtiness" of the paper, it shows true art dedication! :)

Fluxy
Thanks, Everyone. I finished more of it, but can't gt the cast shadow of the whole project done just yet; I'm waiting to be able to go to the studio to finish it [Or that is what I say, so if I decide to free hand it I somehow feel better about myself]. So now my project is yet anouther drapery; only that this one is prepped at my house so it's in a much more controlled environment *Kicks the dog out of my room*. Then I have to finish my sketch of the human torso before next Friday, so it's gonna be a long week. Not as bad as previous ones, thankfully, so I know I'll have much more free time. Nothin exciting gonna be posted up this week though... I think at least.

Fluxy
Welp, Got a lotta shit handed to me this week for my classes. It's really stressing me out, and I just wanted to sketch something I felt good and confident[ish] with. It's been so long since I used my tablet, and this is much worse than that I know I can do, but this was a simple sketching for a certain lady of mine that I care very much about. *Shrugs and hides*
CrypticQuery
First of all, that fruit bowl thing quite literally blows my mind. I can't fathom how much detail is evident in the drawing, let alone pay attention to the immense amounts of shading and detail! And I do like the newest picture above; your drawing of female anthros is getting better. :)

It was for a project on gaining perspective and using abstract objects to creat art; So to speak. And thanks! I haven't drawn anything animal related in like, literally months. Sarita
*smack* Fluxy, stop being so hard on yourself. From one art major to another, Art is HARD. Your shaded sphere is actually better than some of the stuff I've done, and I can't shade cloth for crap.

Fluxy
Time for another addition of "Flux Draws Realism" [WARNING: Contains fake nudity.] So, little backstory as to this class assignment. I actually had to do the whole rendering in class with only a good two hours work[AKA: I had to add all the Midtones, Form & Cast Shadows, and highlights]. It messed up my sketch because of the rushing so that's why my proportions are off by some. It's -alright- but I'm definitely not 100% pleased with it. What I -am- happy about, is that before this school, I'd have never been able to do anything like this. That, I am happy about. *MFW THAT ISN'T BACKSTORY AT ALL* Really, I couldn't get to San Francisco all week so I had to end up only working on it on the last day I was allowed to before mid term review and so that's why it's not stellar. I spent too long on the sketch in the week before it, sooooo... Yeah! [Also, yes, I got called in for review before I could even detail the crotch; I thankfully didn't get too marked down for it.] Tomorrow in class I'll have to be starting judgment calls and stuffs for my Still Life project. It's looking to be the hardest assignment in the class, but it's just tedious sounding, really. After that, only the portrait project, and I'm done with my first Semester of college! Eeeee!~

CrypticQuery
Haha! I'm glad you're beginning to master the wonders of anatomy; each of your new drawings above look absolutely fantastic, especially in the shading department. I am also quite sure that your recent work is motiviation to keep going, besides your determination already. :friends:
Sarita
Does your college separate Drawing in to two distinct sections like mine does? I'm about to finish Drawing II, which is figure drawing. Holy crap I love it, and it has helped SO MUCH with my paintings and drawings. Hurry up and get to figure drawing. ALL THE NAKED PEOPLE.

Holy crap I love it, and it has helped SO MUCH with my paintings and drawings. Hurry up and get to figure drawing. ALL THE NAKED PEOPLE. It sorta does, but it doesn't call it Drawing II. But yeah, I can only afford so many units at a time, so it's next semester that I actually start learning figure drawing and poses and NAKED PEOPLES!!! I really am excited for it myself! This semester's almost over; like, 6-7weeks left, then it's summer break, THEN NEW AND FUNNER/MORE INTERESTING CLASSES!! ...But yeah, till then, it's just more 'self study' on it with trial and error, and little studying here or there, till I get more training on actual anatomy! I've been looking forward to it ever since I started hating my realism class :

Fluxy
Wow Fluxy! Those look really cool! That's what I aim to do someday. Hehe, thanks! I'm definitely not good by any means, but I will be some time, and it'll be grand! --- Working on a little WIP project while in a call with my lovely. Didn't get too far. Was busy drawing random kitty faces or explaining something to her about perspective/anatomy/how I do shit x3 There are a ton of flaws, but I'm gonna go back and fix up some that I know of and can actually illustrate correctly. This is also a much smaller made part of the actual image size. Dunno when the final result will be, but I had fun explaining how I do things :

CrypticQuery
That's an interesting facial-structure from what I gather, what exactly is the species? :P
Fluxy
...Cat ;_; I don't like drawing cat's, so I went more weeaboo in my facial design. Anything else was looking bad at the time. That still has a lot less though than It's going to have.
sroberson
I feel like the confusion over what species it was, was because of the lack of depth that is expressed on the face. I personally knew you were aiming for a cat, but I could see the confusion. The same lines that were used to express facial features in one of the previous sketches you submitted aren't as apparent in the cat's face.
