Kick ass.

My Battlestation with its "retro flavour" design ( it actually lost part of that flavour when my old keyboard stopped working... sob... sob... sigh... R.I.P. old noisy gray keyboard ). It's going to get a major-to-uber upgrade with a new shiny PC right this year ( in both hardware and design ).

The quality of the photos sucks. I had to take a picture with my videocamera because my photocamera is not smart enough to understand that its batteries are not empty.

The scary black box near my PC is my trusty 700 Gb Maxtor external Hard Disk.

After all the times I've been to Nova's house this is the first picture I've ever seen of him having all 4 of his monitors actually hooked up AT ONCE. Usually he just has one or maybe two.

Commodore_64_540x359.JPG

Runs Crysis 2 at max settings at 60-70 FPS!

I'll give you a serious answer if somebody can tell me what this is. (EASY MODE)

I'd recognize that computer anywhere. That's a Commodore 64....I remember playing on it when I was like 7 - during the end of it's lifespan

Correct answer!

NES and GENESIS on left, main rig on right, and that's my MIC. If you want specs, I have them.

Dell XPS M1530

-Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 @ 2.10 GhZ each.

-4 Gigabytes of RAM

-256MB Nvidia 8600GTM

-1400x900 LED backlit display on the laptop, 1400x900 LCD on the primary monitor (HDMI in)

-Windows 7 Professional

It's a decent comp, I can get 25-30 FPS on Batman: Arkham Asylum on HIGH with no antialiasing/texture filtering and no PhysX.

The NES is a nice touch. :P

I have an Intellivision too, it's not in the pic, though.

After I graduate and get into my career, I will have a setup similar-looking to Nova's. But, I don't have the money for that ATM.

I have two setups now. My DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) setup and my general-purpose PC.

Both machines are custom-built to my specific specifications. AMD Phenom, at least 3 cores, at least 4 gigs RAM. The GP-PC is almost gaming-rig level, but not by much. Portal 2 had a little framerate lag on the more complex gel test chambers.

My PC goal is this:

1. "Business" PC - MS Office, Financial shit, etc. Probably will be my current GP PC, reformatted and slightly upgraded.

2. Internet PC - Linux-based machine solely for surfing the internet.

3. Media/Gaming Rig - High-end gaming PC, Fuck Yea! Also will hold my music collection.

4. DAW - separate setup (too much extra gear with it to put on same desk).

Funny story about my DAW. When I built the thing, I got a special noise-reduction case. Everything is rubberized, there is very little metal-on-metal contact in the case. The hard-drives are secured by rubber straps rather than screws so their vibrations don't reverberate in the case.

But, I had read reviews saying that the CPU I ordered wasn't adequately cooled by the stock heatsink. So, I bought one of these. That damn thing barely fit in the case, and is so fucking loud. <_<

DAW:

GP-PC:

Pardon the mess

I wish I didn't live in an apartment so I could crank-up the subwoofer on that speaker set for my GP PC. 10" sub. Fuck Yea!

As you can tell, I'm a bit of an audiophile. No me gusta cheap speakers.

And Yes, that IS a red Swingline stapler.

EPIC WIN. I'll put up a pic of my computer setup as soon as my grandmother moves out of my room--she's been staying with us for the past month.
