That's enough dickery, everyone. Plz and kthx. There's quite a bit of over reacting going on in here, and if you don't knock it off. Well, you know what will happen.

:lock:

Then someone might just make another topic about this.

Yes I like Star Fox, but I am not so attached to it that I have to name call people, and make my self superior just so I can validate my own self interest in it. And it was meant as a joke, but as you just so happened to keenly demonstrate my point deploy. You jumped my throat just because i questioned your choice in entertainment, thus proving how quick to argue MLP fans are. I am not giong to judge you. My god! How dare I question MLP! Is it really worth fighting, arguing, and bickering about? Its a god damn TV show, seriously. If me poking fun is going to get you that upset to write a response to "put me in check," or what have you, its time to rethink an obsession...

But with all that said and done, if I have upset your delicate equilibrium, I apologize.

 just have to poin this out thoguh.....

:troll: i knew it was a joke! i got somthin right!!!! whooo hoooo :) happyface

What kkstarfox also misses is that it isn't just a TV show. It by now is an entire sprawling fandom covering all medias, genres, and moods. Hence the original topic at hand, that being whether or not it deserves it. Coming in and going HURR GURL SHOW in such a thread inside the counterpoint is grounds for ridicule because the statement shows a vast lack of research.

Or in Sabre's case, going "HURR IT'S A MEME."

IMO, it's the internet equivalent of a Zombie Apocalypse.

Ok after reading the past few responses I sense alot of hostility here. Guys lets just stop the arguing and the drama please, I mean it (In my opinion) kills the fun right here of talking about MLPFiM and I REALLY don't wanna see that. So lets just ignore these past mistakes here learn from them if we can find any lessons to learn and continue hiw we were before the arguements ok.

Lol. All this back-and-forth is making me want watch the show again.

I like it. I only ever saw around three or four episodes because it wasn't exactly my cup of tea but I could appreciate it being well above average for kid's television series nowadays. Actually, seems to me that we're in kind of a renaissance of children's TV - Regular Show, Adventure Time, and before that, Flapjack and Spongebob. Good stuff, funny stuff, good and funny enough for a grown man to watch. The fact that MLP:FiM has managed to stay away from being a soulless corporate franchise-hawking piece of shit makes me want to give the creators a medal.

I'll go watch some more episodes right now, in fact. Skipping the opening song, of course - it's so gay.

I love the opening song. They didn't have much to work with, but good ol' Daniel Ingram squeezed some quality out of it.

(I secretly like it too but I'm afraid of losing my mancard and appearing to be a woman with a penis to strangers on the internet, shhh)

The way to say you like it well, or at least the way I do, is say that it is the worst part of the show (which it really is, imo. Still awesome, though), and that it's an acquired taste.

Also, while I disagree that "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack," "Spongebob," and "Regular Show" are quality T.V., but I respect your opinion to think so.

What? WHAT? RAGE RANT SPLUTTER RARGH

Seriously though, thanks. I guess the appeal those shows have (had) on me is the non-sequitur, surreal humour that pops out now and then. While neither of them are Lewis Carrol-way weird, they still make me laugh in spots, and the unappealing art style sometimes used is funny to me. It's like the picture itself is the punchline. On the other hand, MLP:FiM (nominally) plays it straight, but is appealing to me because of the sleek artwork and animation. And ponies are funny when they get worked up I guess, idk.
