Characters who seem to be the same

Have you ever noticed that some characters from different games, movies, etc. seem to be so simmilar that they could just be the same character in different circumstances, sometimes even having the same things happen to them. Not like Archtypes, more specific things like a love interest trapped in a crystal who's relationship with the main character becomes on edge for example.

I'm going to use the Cynder and Krystal example.

Cynder is from the Spyro series and if I have to tell you where Krystal is from you're probably on the wrong site.

Both of them are the love interest of the main character;

Both of them were saved from a Crystal;

Both of them only became love interests shortly before they were saved from said crystal;

Both of them were villains at some stage;

Both of them left the main character at some stage;

Both of them have nouns for names, (Although Krystal is a funny-pictures-cat-sees-what-you-did.jpg moment)

Batman and Darkwing Duck

Both are nighttime vigilantes.

Both wear masks.

Both have a cape.

Both have secret identities.

Both use grappling hooks and other similar gadgets.

Both have lots of money and a secret lair.

Both have sidekicks (Robin and Launchpad McQuack)

Both have many enemies.

Both are terrors that flap in the night.

Both of them were villains at some stage;

Wait. When was Krystal ever a villain?

Also, Dante from Devil May Cry and Prosecutor Gavin in Apollo Justice. They wear the same looking coat (Gavin's is darker though) and talk much the same way with the same attitude. As TVtropes put it, Gavin is just Dante if he took up law rather than demon hunting. Seeing as both characters are from Capcom this may very well be intentional.

When Krystal joins StarWolf, that effectively makes her a villain, remembering that there is a difference between evil and villainy.
