Microsoft buys out Skype

You all need to quit bitching its Skype for crying out loud!

I fail to see why just because it's Skype users don't have a right to complain about the potential changes that might take place under Microsoft domain.

Even though the service is free Skype is used by hundreds of millions of users and is the preferred medium for VoIP and online voice chats. Even though most users don't pay to use it's features it's valuable tool in the online world and for some people the only viable way they can talk to each other (such as long distance relationships). People have a right to be upset about this.

If I may offer my two cents, being upset is one thing, but aren't we jumping to a lot of conclusions here? Yes, Microsoft has an awful history and their current product lineup outside of the OS market is pretty much infuriating. The way I see it, we should wait to break their doors down and strangle them with their own bloated, unusable code until they've actually pushed it out into the public. Jumping the shark doesn't look too good on our part. :P

Although, I suppose in a sense the strong negative reaction from the general public could prove to be a motivating factor for M$ to not fuck this one up.

Doubt it, but it's possible.

With that said, fuck this noise so much. Sky.NET is going to suck and I am going to hate it.

Also I hope to god they don't fuck up the mobile editions even further than they already are. |:

Logic and reason go unheard once again. Thanks Internet

I'll just hope I'll still be able to use it no matter what OS I'm on (I use and own Mac, Windows, and a Linux distro). There are probably alternatives though if things don't go the way users would like them to :P
