Fluxy
: "Family or Friends", the prequel. Here it is, guys. The start of the next story. I have linked "Family or Friends" for all who have not read it. How I have wrote this one is that I don't believe you will need to read the prequel, but it will enlighten you on many things that will go on, as well as to the characters. Many seemingly small details will be touched in this story, so reading the previous will make the ride much more enjoyable. I also understand as we moved the site, some of my chapters were altered and hard to read. If this is the case for you, PM me, and I'll message you a way to get a PDF of the whole story in a readable way. =] Without further adieu, let us continue on, with, "Future of Past". Prologue: Time Warping DATA ENTRY SEVEN -Well, this… This looks like the final entry I can make into my little journal. It’s a shame really that Karsh gave me this, a three hundred paged notebook, and I only end up using a good five pages of it. Not that he shouldn’t have seen it coming. Even I realize I don’t pay attention too well, especially when all the focus I can muster is on just about everything else. Even right now Karsh is yelling at me to write faster and get stress out faster. Isn’t that a little… Darn… Can’t remember what that word was. It began with a ‘C’ I know that…. Either way, I’m kinda sad about doing this, ya know? I mean, once I’m back to my childhood years, I’ll never get to see certain people anymore. Karsh, Uncle Cliff, or even Christine. I mean, I’ll get to see how my parents were when they were young and just about my age right now, which I really wanna see, but then, it’ll erase everything that ever happened. All this war I had to see, my childhood I never got, and these great close friends I have. It makes no sense to me, actually, as I started thinking; What happens to, ‘me’ when I save myself from a bad childhood? When I destroy the starting of the psychic organizations, and make my future all the different in that time, will I fade away? I know I am me, and my gene’s that wouldn’t have been formed are me, but… Sorry, I am being yelled at to stop, and now I have a headache from round about questioning. To anyone who reads this; please note that I am strongly aware that this means this still exists, and I wish not to think about that. Time to, I know it sounds cheesy, save the world.- END DATA ENTRY SEVEN -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- It was only a good few minutes the vixen had to write down notes in her journal, feelings, to be precise, till she was commanded upward to attention position along with a yellow male lynx and a female silver wolf at her side. The tension was palpable as the dusky night sky lay over the remains of the crew. All of them were scarred and scratched up for whatever reason of war; as at this point, there were too many to be counted. A male tiger stood there in front of them as his fur was the only clean one set around, allowing his fur to wave a little with the wind in a rather commanding tone. He nodded to the crew and started talking to them about their accomplishments, and fallen comrades. It was obvious the effect he was having on the vixen and wolf, as they started tearing. The only ‘strong’ one left by the end of the pep talk was the lynx, as he rubbed the vixen’s back, as well as the wolf’s. No one was ready to say goodbye, and give up their life, but ever since the start, each and every one of the ten starting members knew the overall goal, and outcome, with this mission; Death. Even if they were to succeed, it was at least the general consensus that ‘they’ would die, and their past selves would have a better, and more brighter future due to it. Life could only be done in greatness, with this sacrifice. No matter how happy they would make themselves, they would no longer live that life, or experience what they would have. At least, and again, that was the general consensus. “Come now, we have no more time to spare,†The tiger said, as it was just about time for their opening strike, “And we need to get moving. Cutie, I’m sorry for hurting you yesterday…†The tiger added, walking over to the vixen as he held himself lower to her. “Just… Don’t get hurt at all, okay? I don’t want to think of the pain the poor bastard’ll be in afterwards.†The crew lightly chuckled at the leaders comments, small grins on their face as they all looked up, and northward to the Psychic Development Organization. The EMP had been set, the time and wind setting was right, and everyone was in position and ready. They all split within moments, as time was soon to be re-written, and more conflicts were soon to be had. All that was there in that spot now was the vixen’s journal, along with a simple photo of a dark red vixen holding a small kit in her hands; a smile on her face. --- And there we have it, the prologue. Gonna be more active on this; I swear it. lol PS: If someone could inform me of a way to make indents for new paragraphs on this site, that would be great. I can't tab or use spaces anymore apparently. Lol

Prince Elite
well it captured my attention Nick, which isn't easy to do. Anyway, it's promising, but "contentious?" I think you mean Consensus. Contentious means 'likely to cause argument."
Fluxy
Annnd changed. Thanks for the correction, Elite. Just more proof I need to work on my basic spelling, and not rely on spell corrector all the time. LOL

Fluxy
And now, I am happy to finally say, that this story is finished. All the chapters are on this very laptop, and a Chapter will come out every Saturday morning from now on, and I mean this. No, I will not give all the chapters at once, because that would be a horrible editing decision on my end, especially since I plan to screen them for the third time the morning before posting day. Hope you guys still stayed in interest, both Chapters one and Two will be posted on Saturday.

Fluxy
Well, I feel like a derp. I personally just found a huge mistake in Chapter 2, so I can't post that one, buuuuuuuuuuuuut, I have chapter One for all of you, so do enjoy. Chapter One: It Begins "Ma'am... Ma'am, Please, calm yourself for just a-" "Back in my day, I didn't have to wait to talk to someone intelectual!" The keyboards typing furiously all around eminated a sound that was just torchur to Gearhart's ears as he talked to the very old and irritating bystandard. It had been two years since Gearhart had recovered from the deadly encounter with Star Wolf and his Lure. "Ma'am I am trying to get your return validated, please listen and-" "Back in my day, we didn't have to blah blah blah, and anouther thing, rage, rant, blah..." It simply kept going as Gearhart couldn't even bear to try and manage figuring out what she was trying to say anymore. Yet, with a roll of his eyes, Gearhart hung up on the old, unscroupulous, lady, fully knowing he was more than likely going to end up getting a hit on his customer service report. Just a few more hours, then I get to go home for the weekend... Just that much longer... the poor wolf thought to himself as he looked down with a sigh, using his right hand to rub his head. Looking over to behind his computer screen at his desk, Gearhart took a bottle of pills from behind it, and carefully pressed down on the lid as he spun it off. -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- Up in space, a good long while away into the air, the Great Fox was majestically roaming through the empty areas, having a small break from missing for the moment. Fox McCloud, the leader of this ship, was slaving over paperwork at the moment, still needing to find a mechanic after the loss of his best friend, Slippy, from the incident and mission two years ago. "Gah... We need someone able to fix up the Arwings better than me and Falco, but there is no one who can replace Slippy! Even the head of that pioloting academy doesn't have one kid that could do near him." The tired vulpine sighed, his ears droping behind him as he sunk into his chair and strected his neck. It was then that a beeping sound went off in his room; Not one of alarm. Hitting the blue button on his command desk, Fox looked up at the speaker as he sighed. "Yes, Rob?" "Fox, the rest of your team: Krystal, Falco, Cliff, Nel, Fayt and Liam are all requesting you to land. They wish to have some roaming around time." A mechanical voice spoke over the intercom, making the fox even more stressed. "Alright, alright, set course for Corneria City. I'm tired of all the complaining anyways." He snarled out, not wanting to really waste the energy cells it took to go through all the gravitational feilds, but they did need to stock the Great Fox up with more materials and they had no missions at the moment. "Understood. Rob64, out." -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- Nel, smiling with a flickering tail, was in the documentation room looking at files with Liam, who was currently hugging her from behind in a cudling fashion. It had been one year since the two started dating and things had started getting really serious between the two. "Liam, stop, that tickles! I'm trying to read!" The vixen said with a giggle, having files open in her hands that were relating to Gearhart. Looking to them himself now, Liam sighed and rolled his eyes. "Come on, it's been two years since he had to leave. You haven't talked to him sense a year ago. Why do you always read up on him?" Liam, who was Gearhart's best friend, said looking almost a little down now, and jealous obviously. But that comment made Nel look back at him with a raised brow. "Excuse me, but you were his best friend. You even saved him two years ago, and stopped talking to him a year ago yourself!" She said, getting a little flustered and offended. "I'm just seeing what he has been doing..." "Alright, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Liam apologized to the vixen, he himself sighing as he let go of her and went over near the door, sitting on the chair next to it as he looked to her. "What has that wolf been doing nowadays?" And at that, Nel sighed, her ears going down. "He's been basically being a telemarketer and working retail, getting near fifty-to-sixtey hours a week; sometimes working everyday of a month..." She spoke, frowning as she put that file away, and just sitting on the ground where she was standing at the time. "If it weren't for his damn left arm and his head, he would still be here working with us, rather than being people's slave over the phone." Liam took this moment to stand up and stretch his back, going over to Nel after and bending down to give her a kiss. "Would you like to go take a nap with me or something babe?" "No... I still have stuff I wanna look up. I'll be there soon though." Nel said in response, giving him a smile, although it was a little half heartedly. The other fox sighed. "Alright, see ya soon babe." And with that, Liam was off, leaving Nel alone. The vixen quickly got up and went back to Gearhart's files, fidgetting out her military phone as she sighed and started to think. Breezing through the files text though, an idea crossed her mind as she smiled, dialing a number as her tail started flicker again as she seemed rather happy. "Hello? Officer Bryant? I think I know someone to be Officer Thompson's new partner.... No, he doesn't shoot well, but I've seen him take a few bullets and still move.... Trust me, just give him an opportunity. He'll even learn the material needed within a day, I swear it.... You'll let him?! Okay, perfect! You can't let him know I did this though..." And after that she started blushing as her ears and muzzle perked up. "No! I am dating Liam, you know that! Just... Just go do this already!" She said, hanging up her cell phone with a flustered blush. Nel set down the files back in their original spot, smiling as she left the room, a happy tune to her step. --- A nice light reading for a nice light start. Please stick with me here. Thanks again for everyone who is reading!
CrypticQuery
Wow, I didn't expect this topic to come back from the depths of other threads! So far I'm just as into this story as the first one, though directly under "Officer Bryant", the word opportunity is misspelled.

Fluxy
Okay, so I am really getting pissed off right now. I am running into the issue my last fan fiction hit when it got the site changing. I wrote everything after chapter one in a different word document setting, and now it won't post right, so I need to go by every chapter and manually edit it... I do not want to do that right now with what has been going on in my life, not to mention I totally blanked on posting yesterday. Ugh... Either way, I do have some of it edited clean, so rather than a chapter this week, act like this is a preview to next weeks chapter. Again guys, I am very sorry about this and feel really bad about it. Chapter 2 Preview The ringing sensation that entered his ears was loud and, almost, deafening to the poor wolf as he sighed. Gearhart leaned up from his bed, looking to the clean room he had before him; he more than likely had the cleanest apartment out of all the other residents in his complex. Gearhart, of course, didn't truly care that he had a clean place. No one ever visited him and he was hardly there for most of his life. Finally rubbing his eyes with a light groan now, the wolf looked to his alarm clock, which had a picture of himself and Nel taped to it, and hit the 'Snooze' button to turn it off for the time being. It's been too long... I miss her... Gearhart soon stood as he picked up the picture of the vixen and himself one year prior. His muzzle held a smile; something it rarely ever did in these times as he sighed, setting the wonderful memory down as he went to the restroom to shower. As soon as the wolf went into the shower, the phone started ringing; and ringing; and ringing. "Gearhart? This is officer Thompson of the Cornerian On-Foot Police Force." The answering machine started recording the man on the other end; the shower running on as the message kept going. "Well, I'll keep this short, but you have been selected from your entered resume as a possible officer under me. Of course you will have to go through training and all, but if you could meet me for lunch as to have a sorta interview, I am sure we can get you in! Just meet me in the restaurant over in the huge hotel at the corner of fifth and thirty-six. See you at o'Twelve Hundred." The water soon turned off as the wolf, blinded by the water in his eyes, as he rubbed them vigorously, went to get the towel as he started drying off and heading back into the main room. His ears perked up as the bleeping red light on his answering machine went off. "Oh... I wonder who called me." --- So again, I am really sorry guys. CrypticQuery
Are you kidding me? Don't even bother being sorry, Fluxy. Many of us don't even have the dedication it takes to put one of these stories together, edit, and then post it. Stop being so hard on yourself! :P
