How Pokémon was supposed to end

First some explanations: The original pokemon Anime serie was programmed to finish after an half-year season with Ash becoming the champion of Indigo League, following the original plot of the game.

The first movie,MewtwoNoGyakushuu(the counterattack of Mewtwo)/Mewtwo VS Mew for short, was originally created to be a sort of "final" for the serie, and as it can be seen here it was different from the actual canon-version.

Then in this trailer is shown the original ending of the serie, with and adult Misty and a child that is probably Ash/Misty's daughter.Ash is not present, probably still following his destiny as a champion of the league in distand lands....leaving Misty and their daughter alone looking at the sky.

But the serie wasn't over in this manner, so it must be seen as a "non-canon original ending"

What pokemon Anime's ending will be now....only time....a lot of time will tell.

This is supposedly a teaser trailer (with some incredibly gay song) for the first Pokemon Movie.

I really liked the concept of the first movie but it was ruined by poor execution and an ending that totally destroyed and contradicted everything in this. (And yes, I think the American version is far superior to the Japanese one, well...except for the fact that they had to cut the prologue and this...not...fighting moral at the end. Well, whatever, both endings in both versions suck.)

I’ve grown out of Pokémon a long time ago. My interest faded quickly after the start of the second generation.

Guess what, the anime was supposed to end after the first movie. I guess. Or at least the first series?

What are your opinions on this?

I don't know about you...but bricks have been shat.

A Misty/Ash baby? Yeesh. So it'll have a stupid voice and nag. Nice.

Haha yeah.

Anyways, Mewtwo as the final enemy made sense. He was an artificially created pokemon, stronger and more intelligent than any other being.

Just the idea of him communicating through telepathy was kind of frightening to me.

He was perfect.

From what I hear, there's just no way to end this franchise in a BIG way properly. I mean there's supposed to be interdimensional pokemon, even GODS. It's just gettin way out of hand.

But yeah, nostalgia is pretty much the only reason why I have a soft spot for the first generation. Other than that I don't care about Pokemon..like at all, anymore.

lol! I agree with that.

As for ending the series with the first movie, I think that would have been a fitting end for the anime series, but we already know that Pokemon grew into the cash cow it is today, so obviously they wouldn't have ended it right there.

What I think they should have done at the end of the original series, was drop Ash's character, and did stories with the characters from the following games. That would have made it a bit more interesting.

^ This.

I mean come on, how many times do we need to see Ash Ketchum? Can't we get a new trainer for once for the show, Nintendo?

Oh yeah that...

The first time reading it was a pretty cool experience, but half way through it was basically saying that EVERYTHING stands for ash' sexuality and ....stuff like that.

Still interesting tho!

*looks over the trailer, then the general idea of the article*

Well it can't be nearly as bad as the Manga Pokemon Special. My stance:

*reads a little about it* Well it's no surprise, this can't be too bad. :) *learns that the main characters are named after colors* :? Yeah.....Moving on. *gets to the part where 3 Kanto Gym Leaders are changed to villains* :x This can't possibly get any worse. *has now reached the part with the Kanto Elite Four being turned into environmental extremists* Whoever wrote this was totally wasted, and/or didn't give a sh@# about the source material!!!!!     *sets a stack of the books on fire*

Prof. Oak: *whips out a Tommy gun and shoots up a poster of Hidenori Kusaka*
