Is this just a pathetic fantasy we men have?

You don't have to be so blunt about it. Yes I do put thought into them, unlike YOU trying to put thought into not coming off as a dick. Oh, wait, you don't try at all. You're cynical enough to make Milky look like SpongeBob.

As a man, i openly take what little offense i can to being called a "lusty little halfwit"

Im sure after a few thousand years of evolution i deserve to be called a Lusty normal sized halfwit.

But sarcasm aside, i dont see the problem here. We are talking about adult fantasies, FANTASIES, as in things that dont really exist. Dressing up women sexy is simply a way to Consult with Dr. Hans. A society with no form of release besides marriage is a doomed one if you ask me. And having fantasies is nothign to be ashamed off. Its your bodies way of telling you to leave the house and procreate.

"I'd totally fight crime in a loincloth. In fact everyone should."-Milky

Id join you, but id probably scare the criminals to death before any crime could be fought.

*looks back at Chel as an example*

Back then she must've been rebelling against social norms.

Uhh . . . Do we HAVE to think like you? Do we HAVE to say things that boost your "I'm better than you because I think this depiction of Haloween costumes traditional garb is so demeaning and bashing history" ego boner? Last time I checked, this is Counter-Point: Where we still have an opinion. So what if Robert's a little blunt. He's right on every point. YOU DO NEED TO GET OVER YOUR MAN-HATE GUILT BULLCRAP.

Come on guys knock it off. Even if this is the Counter Point some of you are pushing the limits on what is considered an acceptable degree of abrasiveness. In addition pictures like that don't really help the situation, regardless of who is right. :|

Wonderful nonsequitor post here. You're putting thought into your topics is unrelated to my bluntness or my "cynicism" (seriously, I'm cyncial? I hate to think of your opinion on Sabre then). A more appropriate analogy would be my bluntness VS your tendency to get buttfrustrated, and honestly I'll gladly stop wielding my arguments like the Mjolnr if you'd actually make something worth discussing over instead of bawwwwing over things like this. I can not abide bullshit "gender-guilt" coming from people who don't take the time to look at a problem from multiple sides and instead just go WHY US MEN SO PIG DISGUSTING. As a man who is every bit proud to be a man, I find that shit both irritating and offensive.

Furthermore, you haven't addressed any of my points. You just pointed your finger at me and said U SO MEEEEEEN.

Or she's a cartoon character meant for a children's animated film. Done long before her, will be done long after her. And the male leads weren't any better in the grand scheme of things.

And ZM, its bad form to use image macros in the Counter-Point. Try to avoid it.

We're sorry if some of us are being blunt, but we're all entitled to an opinion, right? Should we have to change our opinion to satisfy the easily offended?

I'll try, that last one was a little too much

No, you shouldn't have to change your opinion but maybe the way it's presented at times as a preemptive move to avoid potential future conflict in a topic - especially if you already have a good idea on the background of the person you're debating with. Personally, I'll adjust my debating style slightly depending on who I'm debating with if it avoids unneeded drama - within reason. Also, taking into account past history of members when it comes to drama/conflicts/retorts etc is important as well. In the end, I'm just trying to get everyone to play nice. :)

Also, when it comes to the inappropriate use of images like Robert already pointed then yeah, stuff like that really shouldn't fly in the Counter Point

yeeeeeees, because everyone everywhere wore burlap burqas until rock and roll came along in 1969 to begin our long descent into moral degeneracy

I sorta agree. Everything in moderation, draw and look at whatever you want, just don't let it fool or otherwise consume you.

Looking at you, furry fandom.

I'm going to agree with Milky on this one. If sexy pinups are your life, then that's too much, but if you use them in moderation it's not bad. It's normal to enjoy the looks of the opposite sex, but if you're completely devoted to watching boobs, then you need a mental health couselor.

And as for my opinion, it pleases the general peoples, so why not incorporate it into your media to buff your sales? It's good business sense.

Didn't Ancient Greece and Rome have it's fair share of guilt-free nudity? Their statues seem to point to that kind of conclusion.

Some statues have nude figures, some of them have fully clothed figures, so that argument is invalid. Plus, those nude sculptures are mostly art pieces

It was a similar topic to this, but it wasn't about sexism.

From what I've seen on Google, the Picts would run into battle naked minus their tattoos.

Road to El Darado, not a bad film.

Anyway, I have to ask, does it matter?

Women wear skimpy clothes, that may or may not be realistic. Men wear skimpy clothes, same thing.

The only thing I love more than disagreeing with you is agreeing with you. Good movie, and yeah. This topic is pretty pointless IMO. I follow it for the funnies.

I suppose my post should be a bit more than just Sabre-fanboying, so...

Yeah, this whole thing just kinda poorly thought out, I think. Yes, men do have fantasies like that, so I suppose I'll have to say that in answer to the topic title, but it seems like, as a couple of very capable members have pointed out, this is just man-hate disguised as a debate topic.

*snipes at Xortberg repeatedly* That was your last warning. :P

Anyway, I found what I was looking for related to this topic, so lock it if you want. Nothing else to do with it.
