psy_commando
I voted two. My first is French, my second is English, and I know bits and pieces of Japanese but I cant write a sentence in it or speak it. And yeah, French is really hard to write. I got better grades in English than in French at school. But what I completely hate about French is all the stupid pointless grammatical rules, and the tons of useless verb tenses. What I like, it's a regionalism however, is swearing in French Canadian( Quebecker ). You can replace almost any elements of a sentence with a swear, and can add to the sentence infinitely. It can result in pretty epic swearing. It's still pretty fun to know another language, I remember talking with other bilingual people, and we were talking each in a different language, yet we always understood each others. That was pretty weird.:?
Zzz
The weirdest, yet coolest thing I've seen was this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf. Since I live near that City I went there that day to see wtf was going on, because I love different cultures meeting each other And then I saw a group of dutchmen meeting englishmen. And they were talking in French. ( I could tell their nationality by the colors they were wearing and all that funny stuff they had like banners and hats)

Vy'drach
That's coz both Italian and Spanish are "Romance languages". I think it's more the fact that they both have their roots in Latin. They're branches of the same language tree, so they share roots.

I think I met at most one or two persons that knew about the game, lol :)

Exactly, that's part of the definition of Romance languages.

Fira-Astrali
English is my first, then French. However with the amount of effort i've put in to it I actually think my Norwegian is better. I live in a 100% anglophone zone in Canada, and Norwegian is much more of a necessity in my life ^^; I love languages tho, i personally think being able to express yourself in other languages broadens your range of thought, because you can express yourself so differently depending on what language you're speaking. I have an extremely long list of languages i want to learn to speak.

Tailsz
My first language is English. Since my family is Italian, I learned Italian a lot over the years + I took a class for it recently. (I laugh at the conversations one of my aunts and grandmother have at the dinner table during family gatherings. XD Sooo funny.) I can read and understand French but I can't speak it very well. I do consider it a 3rd langauge regardless. (I fail at French pronunciation... XD) (I have less problems speaking Italian and (partly) French than I do English... Funny. XD)

TGearfur
Only English, I'm too stupid to learn another language what with my terrible memory and all. I find it hard to believe that the people that voted for 3 or more languages truly can Speak those languages, and understand people who do. Yarah
I speak two languages. My mother tongue is Dutch and I can speak English (Though to be honest, I'm better at typing it) I'm learning German, French and Latin at school, and next year I will also learn Ancient Greek. But my German is horrible and I can't make proper sentences in French yet. Same goes for Latin. And I'm getting a Russian self-study book for my birthday.
