Bio: Celeste was born with no knowledge of her parents at all. Bio: Shadow was a very troubled and very emotional child, because due to her unusual eye pattern, the children at her educational facility gave her the nick name "Devilosa". Not only the children, but the teachers had started to use that nickname for Shadow and, soon enough, Shadow dropped out at age 13. Shadow's parents were, unfortunately, embarrassed about their daughter and most of the time, refused to take her out in public. Soon enough, her parents packed Shadow's personal belongings and forced her out of her own home, while her sister, Alex, tried to go with her. But Alex was forced to stay with her parents. Soon, Alex ran away during the night to look for Shadow, but was kidnapped and taken, and has not been seen for 3-4 years. Shadow currently roams the street and steals food, clothing, money, or anything else needed for survival.

After passing two grades above the normal classes that young adults her age should pass at, she got a job at a cafe in Corneria. Salem, at age 17, quit her job and headed out on her own.

Yeah, I remember seing a character who was 6'3, and supposedly wielded a fifty pound sword, yet he only weighed 160lbs; Which isn't even enough for muscle to be on a 6'3 guy, Lol. Not on this thread, obviously, but yeah; A little bit of realism goes a long way. BMI's are also pretty helpful.

Oh, this has nothing to do with your art! In your statistics section where you mention her height, You list 4'7", also seen as four feet, seven inches. That is incredibly high [And unrealistic] for a five year old! We were simply saying that unless it is like, something fantasy made possible, that you might wanna reconsider shortening her by quite a bit.

Anyway, read the profiles, seems pretty good! I like the variation, yet I feel obliged to ask, how do you portray telepathy in characters? Like I know what it can do, but what are the limits and drawbacks you incorporate?

ah, well first of all, i use a distinction of age for some of the abilities and also their species and background as well. what i mean is, characters that are of mid adulthood are stronger and may even have stronger abilities then that of someone who is a mere child. and someone who is a full-fledged adult is stronger than that of someone who is in their mid-adulthood and so on. their race also depends because a human adult will most likely not be as strong as an elven adult, due to their stamina. and everyone has to have limitations to their stamina and or abilities as an individual WITH them, do they not? If they don't, then "god-modding" does apply to that certain character. I mean, I do like the idea of telepathy in characters, but some of them in the future will most likely NOT have that abbility at hand. they may have some other abilities to substitute it's loss. So every character is different in their own way

well if you push yourself too hard on something, there is bound to be quite a nasty consequence, such as being, in this case, mentally exhausted, maybe even physically, leading to automatically being vulnerable to any sort of danger. Also, it would take a while to be able to use any of your other abilities, due to lack of stamina to use towards them. So you would be vulnerable to anything pretty much.

That kinda seems a little tame for engaging in mind warfare. I would run it like, if you overtax your self your brain begins to melt and you have the potential to forget how to breath or produce insulin or forget how to have your heart beat.

Which, in turn, seems entirely too extreme. After all, your muscles don't start to rot if you arm-wrestle a bodybuilder. You just get hella tired. The same would logically apply to trying to push past psychic defenses.

My muscles dont rot when i arm wrestle because my muscles are made for muscling. The brain isnt made for muscling, its made for braining. When the brain is overtaxed, the brain has catostrophicly bad things happen. Arms dont control your lungs nor your heart.... that came out wrong.
