as is the new sniper rifle.

The new sniper rifle is not useless!!! Not one bit!!! The most horrible thing I find about sniping is that when I headshot people, they don't die unless I sit for that meter to charge up, now I can pop heads off like no tommarow! Well... maybe I can't but I know of many people who will. It'l be like feeding frenzy (boring game btw), kill snipers, then when it charges fast enough move up to heavy's n' crap.

DZ, do you not have autoreload on? After you rocketjump, you generally have enough time to reload midair, unless you fire rockets down on people while in the air.

The Market Gardener is just a lulzweapon. Pro Soldiers will be terrifying with this, everyone else will suck. The Discipliary Action I want just to chase allies all day long and beat them. Can you say Soldier+Heavy teamwork? The Goombaboots seem fun if you can land on people, and the new RL is at least a good training weapon for new soldiers. Reserve shooter is for Soldiers who are good at picking off people they launch into the air... and for gunning down enemy jumpers/Scoots.

I do have autoreload on. But, say I'm jumping up the the battlements on 2fort. I'll be on the battlements taking fire before the reload finishes, thus stuck with only two rockets.

If you're rocket jumping to rain down rockets on someone, you might be able to get a reload off before you lose the height advantage, but rocket jumping to get somewhere will leave you one down if you have to fire immediately.

The idea of rewarding headshots is nice, but all you have to do is miss once to lose it. Even the best miss from time to time.

Well, 2fort is a bad map for the Black Box, I'll admit. It shines best when you have a lot of space you can cover to give you time to reload.

Valve added a hidden page for a new flare gun, the Detonator.

There were no specs on the page, but a flare gun of the same name has been in the beta: It is like the normal flaregun, save fore dealing minicrits on burning enemies instead of crits, and alt-fire will cause a flare to explode, causing explosive damage and lighting those in the radius on fire. The pryo can also use it to flare jump, though explosive self-damage from it is increased by 20% so it's a risky move. I don't know if that increase also applies to airblasted soldier/demo weapons.

I don't know if any of you noticed, but there was initially a typo on day 1's page. It said "Sniper Rilfe." It has been fixed, but people are know wanting the new rifle named the "Rilfe." Someone e-mailed Robin Waker and inquired what a "rilfe" was, to which Robin responded "A word that will be on someone's tombstone in about 30 seconds."

MY THEORYCRAFTING FAGGOTRY ON THE NEW MEDIC STUFF:

Quick-Fix: This is the Medigun to use in a tight spot. No medic, so you go medic, and everyone needs fast heals? Use this. Attatch yourself to the nearest Scout and hit the front lines ASAP. Switch it out for the Ubergun or the Kritzkreig when the situation equals out. Might be good against improvised sentry nests if the Uberheal is any good, I'll have to see.

The Solemn Vow is a utility. Use it if you're bad with the Ubersaw, don't need the HP Buff from the Crossbow+Amputator, don't die often to warrant the VitaSaw, and hate the Bonesaws taunt.

The Overdose looks awesome. Really, I may never unequip this just for the speed buff. The lesser damage is nothing unless you main Battlemedic, which you shouldn't, and they use the Blutsauger anyway.

Now I wait to see how long Archimedes takes to get added as a misc item that sits on medic's shoulder forever.

Well, I can honestly say I LOVE the soda popper, and I crafted but have yet to get used to the Detonator. I'm liking it so far, though.
