Star Fox: Downfall

I'm going to start a short story based on SF (obviously) I am not a publish-grade, perfect-imagery writer, but I am average, and have a good creative way to writing. When I start posting chapters/sections, i hope you enjoy the story. I will write as it comes to me, if i get a writers block, i will end it dramatically and leave you hanging on the edge of your seat, waiting for the next chapter/section. This is how I imagine the team after all of these events, and might give certain chapters to ONE character's view on an event.

Section 1: The beginning

(I chose to start from this event after SF Command (DS). It might give a little spoiler as to the game, but not dramatically.)

Why did he leave? Why would he leave?

These questions replayed in his mind as he drifted towards his next destination. Since "He" left, missions started to fail. Tensions in the team grew to be unbearable. The Great Fox slowly fell apart, which did not help the success of missions. Never again would fox and falcon meet again.

"Now I'm here, laying in a hospital bed for another week," said Fox, "I can't even remember why he left. He was too late anyway, I suppose it was for the best...."

After being shot down, Fox fell into a coma, where he battled for life. The medical supplies were low on the ship, as was everything else from fuel to food. Fox felt as though he was falling apart. Nobody else wanted to believe that their leader was no longer "worthy" of leadership, but faith was also running low. They all were stranded outside of any planet with only enough power for life support systems and for one more Arwing flight.

Fox began to feel a sharp pain in his chest. The power shorted out, and all systems were down. The pain grew and he started to believe he was going to die. Before he blacked out, he saw Falco.

Fox awoke to see the ship shaking violently. At first he thought he was in an earthquake, but as his mind cleared he realized he was in the Great Fox with no power going through the atmosphere of a planet. No power means no brakes, which leads to a violent, fiery death.....

It was total blackness. Fox groaned in pain.

"Stand up, son."

Fox quickly looked up to see the face of his father.

"Dad? Does this meen that I'm dead?" Fox questioned

His father frowned,"You're close to it, you shouldn't die yet."

"How.... What happened?" Fox demanded

"You fell into the atmosphere of a planet. It's a wonder that you're not here forever now, you're lucky to be.... partially alive"

In the living world....

"Fox! Fox! please don't die! Fox, wake up!" cried Slippy,"It's my fault! i should have made the ship stronger! It's all my fault that he's dead!"

"No it's not Slippy, he's still alive, I can feel it. We need to get him medical attention and fast!" Krystal exclaimed

"But.... What are the chances that he was already hurt when we crashed? Maybe if he wasn't hurt he could have stopped us from crashing! What if..." Slippy continued.

"Slippy, stop talking and listen for a moment! We need to scavenge what we can from the Great Fox, we can definitely form a shelter from all of the wreckage. Hopefully we can find some food and weapons, just in case. After shelter, our top priority is finding medical supplies for Fox. We should search the cargo area first, or at least what's left of it. All-in-all, there isn't much left of the ship at all, so we should be able to search the entire ship within a day. Let's get to work!" described Krystal

They worked tirelessly, without leaving a piece of shrapnel unturned. Starting where the engines used to be, working their way up to the bridge, which was the last completely intact piece of the ship.

"Slippy! The emergency comm. system is intact, We can get help!"

Fox awoke suddenly. Aside from the pain in his head, he felt fine. He took a look around the find that he was not in a forest, but had trees scattered. Not dry, but slightly humid. It was clearly night, with no light but from the embers of a small fire. He looked at his camp to see Slippy and Krystal asleep. He tried to sit up, but was rewarded with a sharp pain in his back. His vision clouded with a red mist as he tumbled back into unconsciousness. The trees and everything else seemed to shake and shimmer into blackness. He struggled to hold on, but the pain was so intense that he screamed. Krystal and Slippy quickly came to his side and were talking, but Fox couldn't hear anything. He could only see blurry blobs and everything was heavily tinted red. The pain increased slightly, which was just enough to tip the scale towards unconsciousness. Everything turned black.

When he next awoke, he could taste blood in his mouth. Fox looked around to discover that neither Krystal nor Slippy were there. He found a small cup of water next to his head, which he quickly drank gratefully. The water alone restored a fair amount of his strength, but he needed more. He tried to move but found that he was strapped down by the wrists. 'Maybe this was some way of saying that I shouldn't move' Fox contemplated. With nothing to do but lie in wait of Krystal, Slippy, or anyone else, Fox began to think about his family. His mind was clouded and it was difficult to think straight, but he managed to hold on to one straight thought. Darius. Fox's half-brother. He faintly remembered how they met. Their skills were evenly matched, or close to it. No matter the situation, they would always fail to get the better of each other.
