Nope.....I tried to though. Funny thing though, when I skate with putting alot of effort I usually fall on my bum or fly off the board. But, when I don't know (Like when my stupid little cousin leaves his board on the floor and I step on it) I do alot better. Also, I can't make turns if my life depended on it let alone jump.

EDIT: I can't do either or so it's still D. :P

I'm a geek. Geeks don't do physical activities. :P

QFT

Honestly, I can't say that I've ever tried. Of all the methods of personal locomotion, it would be right up my alley, though, as I've got a superb sense of balance. Tricks and the like are not for me, however.

I can't even stay on the dang thing. Too wobbly. >_<

Bikes > cars >>>>>>> skateboards.

B. I can do like a heelflip, a kickflip, an ollie, a pop shove-it, and a casper.

I don't but all my friends do. They've pressured me to get on one and I've tried... but... I've seen videos... and skating looks very painful.

I saw my friend try to drop down off on a half pipe in real life and break his leg, it was... awkward to watch because he looked perfectly fine until he started screaming.

Sorry but Soccer > Skating for now.

Soccer can be just as bad as skating. Watching a guy's leg go from straight and normal to wobbly like a wet noodle is very, very cringe-worthy. Even moreso than watching some random skaterpunk rack himself while trying a Darkslide.

I'm not a pro skater, heck not even an ameteur skater and I can tell you it hurts. One time I tried to stop and I never knew how to lift the skateboard properly to execute a stop and I fell on my back scraped my whole upper part of my back......Ouch.

@ Takewalker: That was a good one. ^_^ Hahaha!

I've tried. I can't. The thing always rolls out from under me when I try to move on it. Good thing I use protection.

Protective pads and helmet, that is. I don't want to know what you were thinking. ^_^

Not a lot of people knows or attempt to try and skateboard... Ive seen videos where people break all sorts of bones, but most of those are at skateparks, and Im not anywhere near them *it takes about 32 minutes ride in a car to get to a mall with one, seriously!* anyway I just skate around in front of my house and the neighborhood

Everything I know about skateboarding I learned from THPS. Skateboards are fantastic inventions that allow a person to defy gravity and the laws of physics!

  • 1 month later...

I look at skateboards as a means of transportation, it's less awkward then a scooter, lighter and less awkward then a bike and can be taken on public transportation more easily.

although my favourite type of board has to be the longboard, i.e. Bombing down a thirty-five degree slope, top speed.

Killer adrenaline man!
