Vulvokunvrii
Wow congress...wow..."Back to the Dark Ages"? More like we'd end up like Fucking Communist China. They do shit like this. Pardon my language but seriously, what the fuck?! Half the interent these days are teenagers and early adults. You'd be having the whole interent world knocking on the doorstep of big industry and government oficals saying simutaniously, "Dude, what the hell?!" ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
We should drum up as big of a crowd of internet users as we can to protest this, right on their doorstep in Washington DC. We let them send us into shithole Middle East countries like Libya to fight in bloody wars, and this is the thanks they give us? This is where we draw the line. We're not gonna take this shit anymore, especially not while they should be worrying about something important, like Libya or Afghanistan.
Vulvokunvrii
^ exactly. Solve the foreign Policys and probelms so we can be secure, and then get dwon on the domestic problems . We might be an efficent country, but even we have our limits. we cant multitask on EVERYTHING. lol?
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
We'll fight this until it's all over. Let's start spread the word across the internet to anybody who hasn't heard of it yet. Go out on other sites you're part of and spread the word.

Star Fox Runner
I think we're starting to overreact a little. Yes, this kind of thing is Bullshit, but I highly doubt it will pass, part of me would think that doing that would be unconstitutional, as it's a form of censorship. So once again, I doubt it will pass.

Xortberg
Okay, I'm sorry, but I didn't watch that. It's a twelve minute video of some 13 year old kid ranting about stuff he doesn't understand. I was willing to try and take him seriously until he said "The terrorists will probably bomb Washington D.C. the day after the law is passed!" Protip (Actually, the same tip I gave you in another topic): if you want to make a point and use someone else's work as an example to back that point up, post more than just that other person's work. Pick out the specific parts that you're trying to get across and go into detail about them. Nobody wants to watch a twelve minute video, try to figure out what you're trying to say with it and then just find out they wasted their time because they interpreted it wrongly. Shh. We're sopposed to rage and assassinate people over this. This man speaks truth! ANARCHY!
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
You automatically assumed that he had no idea what he's talking about? He certainly sounds well informed enough to me. You can't automatically assume that because he's "some 13 year old kid" that he doesn't know what he's talking about. You don't have to be in your early 60s to listen to the news on a daily basis. This kid might just be doing that. Or even reading the news online.
Xortberg
You automatically assumed that he had no idea what he's talking about? I assumed he has no idea what he's talking about when he said terrorists would attack if the bill was passed. Good job ignoring everything else I said, though, and continuing to rely on the arguments of others without actually backing yourself up.

America needs to learn run itself before it starts to try and police other countries. And efficient? We are literally the poorest country in the world. We are so deep in the hole we said "Hi" to the devil on the way past.

Sabre
Apparently there is an easy out for games in that they could include something in the terms of service about it being ok. Some big companies might not bother though.
Robert Monroe
As I said in the shoutbox, calm down people. I doubt this will pass in the first place, and if it does I doubt it will last very long. Also, if it gets passed, I seriously doubt it'll be "ZOMG BLANKET BAN ALL OF IT! NONE SHALL PASS!" There'll be concessions. I'm sure media sites will be allowed to post stuff, and reviewers'll still be able to claim fair use or some such shit. E3 coverage will still happen, I'm sure. You're all freaking out disproportionally to what's going down, considering this bill hasn't even been passed and you're acting like the end of the world. The notion that this sort of bill would even be proposed is a ludicrous notion, for games anyway.

Gene Inari
Yeah... This'll never pass. Stuff like this comes along every now and again and, as you can see, people will rage and complain over nothing. ITT: People hopping onto the rage bandwagon over a bill that will go absolutely nowhere.
