Could you elaborate a bit more on what you are referring to in particular? Also, keep in mind that Assault and Adventures have an incredibility high number of plotholes, contradictions, and other things that people just "don't get."

Nope

and what about the aparoid Queen mimicking James

What about her?

and how in the world did StarWolf get out of the planets blast zone in time they even thought they were dead.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm willing to bet they used some gravity enhancing programs.

None of these are cliffhangers so much as plot holes/confusion.

Krystal never pursued her backstory again.

The Aparoid Queen is assumed to have retrieved James' personality from the memories of Peppy and Pigma.

Star Wolf escaping the planet's explosion is more "sci fi convenience" than anything. Given the time between their departure and the destruction of the planet, they could have easily left before even Star Fox did. You should be more concerned with the wrecked Wolfens in Meteo that never get an explanation.

Pigma didn't have a Wolfen in Assault, and there were multiples of them.

See

Slippy: Hey, was that...

Falco: It couldn't be...could it? Was that the Wolfen?

Slippy: So it was Wolf and his team that got destroyed?

Krystal: I'm sensing faint brain patterns. They abandoned ship!

This is never explained or mentioned again.

It's a good assumption that it was Andross that did it, given his search for magical power to resurrect himself (leading him to Sauria), and that Krystal recognized him before he pushed her into the beam that trapped her in the crystal.

I was under the impression she recognized Andross because, after speaking with the dinosaurs, they frequently mentioned a "great evil".

Then there was the part where Andross was a last-minute addition to the game, and Krystal's been an orphan since Dinosaur Planet was first concieved.

The title "Ultimate Evil" is a bit vague to elicit such an instant and clear recognition, and that's development stuff, not final story connection. Granted it's assumption mostly, but it's well within reason of being the case.

I might not put much faith in her, but I think Krystal would be able to connect the dots between "there's an evil spirit lurking in this temple" and turning around to come face-to-face with an evil spirit but that's just me.

It's still never stated in the canon that this is what happened so no, Krystal never did mention her backstory again.

AJC: But how do you "abandon ship" from a Wolfen? How did they get new Wolfens, or escape? Why doesn't Star Fox express concern over this until they meet Star Wolf again several missions later? It's not one of those things you just don't fully explain to create tension, it's a flat-out plothole.

Can you explain it or justify it being there? No? It's a plot hole.

Can i justify it being there? well sipmly wolf and his team got attacked and got out there leaving their wolfens. how they got away or what happened it somthing we will never know. Krystals planet was destroyed i don't knwo how it happened or why, or how she got away. is that a plot hole?

PLOTHOLES ARE DIFFERENT FROM CLIFFHANGERS.(No offense)

I'd suspect it,otherwise she'd be all like "OMG FAWKS WE NEEDZ 2 STAY BRO I NEED TO FIND THIS EVIL DUDE WHO KILLED MAH PARENTS" Wasn't it Andross who did it though?

The Apariod Queen took memories from Pigma (Who knew James) and she used them against Fox.

I think they just got lucky or were following the StarFox team on the way out, offscreen.Or they're dead.

Also...

SHADY'S BAAACK

Absolutely none of that is justification. Justification would be a steadfast reason that demonstrates why this event HAD to happen, and this event ONLY.

Why were there wrecked Wolfens in the asteroid belt? We don't know. Would the game have changed at all if that hadn't happened? No. So there was no reason for that to happen. But it did, and was never paid off. It was a "hole that was never filled", you might say.

Krystal is searching for her parents, and that's the only reason she's in Lylat, as we know the first time she's ever seen. It was her character motivation, her entire reason for being there. Does she ever mention it again? No. Then why does it have to be this epic, tragic backstory? It is a setup that is never paid off. Ergo, a plot hole.

I think that was the aparoid infected pigma as in the reason that starwolf bailed.

Either way it was never mentioned again, meaning there's no canonical answer, so it's a plothole.
