Friendship is Magic fangames and mods.

Given that the "Friendship is Magic... Online?!?!" topic was locked (I still refuse to call it My Little Pony, without saying the full title), I've decided to make a general FiM fangame and mod thread (as if the title didn't tell you that). Anyway, there is of course the Fighting is Magic game, and Equestria Online, but also some rather sweet pony mods for other games. Also I know there's ones people have seen that I have not, so go ahead and put 'em here in this hub.

First off, Fighting is Magic. (Ooooh, seems they've got a mention in GamePro magazine, and in Gameland, a Russian gaming magazine. Very nice. I recommend checking out those articles on the site. Unfortunately, GamePro has no idea what they're doing or talking about.)

Early pre-alpha example of gameplay. Character moves and animations will be more complex and individual.

Here's a list of some of the other mods, I do recommend the Terraria one, which I'll post a screenshot that I myself took.

Just no uploading the GMod ponies to Garrysmod.org or any of the other sites, that's supposed to stay on Equestria Daily, so respect that, please. I imagine it's to cut down on the number of non-bronies from getting them to use the models to do... unspeakable things.

And my screenshot of the ponies in Terraria,

Here's a list with most of the pony fangames on here, I personally recommend "Story of the Blanks" (saves me from doing that one separate), and Rainbow Dash Attack.

Then of course there's Equestria Online, the 3D Pony MMO.

http://www.equestriaonline.com/

Take a gander at that, if you want, I haven't lurked the forums enough to be accurate on it.

And do try and keep this civil so it doesn't get locked up like the previous thread.

*Plants drama bomb and runs

Seriously though, this will be my only post in this thread, and it's about the Gmod thing.

"Just no uploading the GMod ponies to Garrysmod.org or any of the other sites, that's supposed to stay on Equestria Daily, so respect that, please. I imagine it's to cut down on the number of non-bronies from getting them to use the models to do... unspeakable things."

1- I've already seen Gmod ponies, so to late.

2- Remember the Renamon drama a while back? You kind of sound like that.

For those who don't remember, someone made a crappy Gmod video of renamon getting drunk, followed by hyjinks. The drama came when a Renamon fan claiming to represent all the fandom claimed that it was a misuse of the character ect ect. Given that alot of the MLP meme involves out of character behaviour, I don't see why Gmod gets special treatment in terms of being unacceptible. More over, why the meme centric 'bronies' have athority over the more serious, non brony fans.

Anyway, Im off.

The GMod ponies have been out for a while, not saying these are brand new, and it's the request of the uploaders and creators for it not to be uploaded for download outside of Equestria Daily. Personally, what idiots may or may not do with the models doesn't bother me, as I rarely watch GMod videos. I was just assuming that's why the creators did not want it outside of ED.

Equestria Online may be coming, but there was an even older fan-made MMO game, albeit 2D, that is still currently in the works. I am pretty sure people may have heard about the MLP Online project if they tend to look for Pony fanart all over deviantART.

Also, anyone here following the progress behind The Fiends from Dream Valley project on YouTube? This one fan game is based on the development of a FREE-to-use, Flash-based game engine for My Little Pony platformer fan games!

It is up. The new website for the FiM TF2 mods is up, and makes them easier to go through, and also includes tutorials on making skins/models for those who are interested.

Even if you are not a FiM fan, I recommend checking out the Zecora demoman skin. The stripes on the demoman look amazing.

Speaking of Zecora demoman, have some Zecora demopan.

Oh! And before I forget, here's a thread from ponychan where someone named Sabre (not our Sabre) will skin any weapon or such in L4D2 the way you'd like it. If you've got a custom model in L4D2 as well, they'll work with that. It's good work, and I love my FlutterSPAS.

Their screenshot. And here's the thread:

There's a MLP game on GBA based on the old series. Of course, anything with MLP in/on it must be awesome, but I played it, thought it was crap.

Remember that I have a strong dislike for the older MLP's to the point that I don't refer to this generation of it as "My Little Pony," and refer to it as "Friendship is Magic" or just "FiM" instead.

This thread isn't really for official games really, either, as there's no FiM official games, except for one on the hub website which is rather bad from what I've heard.

Though if anyone else is interested in the older generations, have at it.

That was a terrible assumption, especially since most people wouldn't even think of getting into My Little Pony until Friendship Is Magic was released! However, it will take a while for Hasbro to think about releasing official video games for G4. All currently known official MLP games were released in the last generation, in other words G3, and there only three games out there. One is called My Little Pony Crystal Princess: The Runaway Rainbow, which is the one for the Game Boy Advance and is based on the movie of the same name - this was of the last Game Boy Advance games released in North America. Another was released later for the Nintendo DS, it was called My Little Pony: Pinkie Pie's Party, and an expanded port is available on the PC called My Little Pony: Pinkie Pie's Party Parade. These two titles are original games, and they may be about "Pinkie Pie", but keep in mind these are G3 games, so it's not the same Pinkie Pie you know and love. That makes all the known, official MLP games available so far.

By the way, it is interesting to note that all three games were published by THQ, and THQ recently announced they're now shifting away from making any more licensed or kids' games as part of a new direction they're taking.

There are actually a few official Flash games based on the show, actually. You can find the rest on Hasbro's own official My Little Pony website. These Flash games are not meant to be for serious gaming. They're merely there for promotional pleasures for the little kids who watch their shows. It is very similar to how Cartoon Network always had a lot of show-based games on their own websites. It is all standard marketing really.

Even though you were being sarcastic, what you said is perfectly true. People go out of there way to ponify their games just for the sake of having an MLP themed game. It's not the game-play their after, it's the atmosphere.

Speak for yourself. The old games were shit, because they were just cash grabs. Several of the MLP mods and such don't interest me at all, because they're based in games that aren't good or just don't look that interesting. I have no interest in the recent Garry's Mod video competition because I dislike Garry's Mod. The fact that ponies are involved doesn't automatically make a group of people drop their preexisting opinions about a game.

BIG FLIBBITYJIBBIN NEWS!

Here's a new fan mod, it does require emulation to get it to work, but it mods Yume KÃ…jÃ…: Doki Doki Panikku, or as it's known better by it's slightly altered version, Super Mario Bros. 2.

Not only can you play as ponies/have pony themed bosses (lawl @ Steven Magnet replacing Birdo), it's not the usual characters. I see Twilight, but there's also Lyra, Luna, and Trixie.

The downloads and all that are in the video description.

*Thumps Xort* Don't even talk about that. In fact, that's not even relevant, why did you have to bring that up? ;_;

^ I played that, it's kind of a weird choice of Mario game.

It's completely relevant. It's plastered on the front of EqD and I was using it as an example of how putting ponies in something doesn't automatically make someone like it. Don't fucking tell me what I can and can't talk about.

Forgot to add this before, a custom victory sound for TF2. Download is in description.

Also, soon as I can get a link to it again, there's a mod for L4D2 that changes the Dark Carnival stage so the initial billboard you see is the Bridlemaids one, posters around the area are for various ponies, and the finale is all pony themed, complete with Midnight Riders being swapped for pony music.

Here's the livestream about Fighting Is Magic game that happened last night.

I want.

Also, one of the finest sound mods I've seen, and the finest L4D2 one. Fits perfectly, and has now made my most hated special infected to ever deal with, to my favourite one.

Equestria Online is coming along. They have multiplayer and live-chatting up and running.

Starting to look decent.

I give unto you what is probably the most frightening thing I've seen. EVER!

Molestia model replacement for the Christian Brutal Sniper.

Made by the same guy, is this, which caused quite a bit of controversy (note that there are voice mods out there that will replace the Scout lines with Rainbow Dash).

I don't actually use those mods, so I have no idea beyond the video.

I have already seen that model replacement of Rainbow Dash for the Scout.

It's nice, but there's still something wrong with the rigging of the arms and the shoulders. Or maybe it's just me.
